  • I love, Love, LOVE LMCs. This is my first review of the new style. As with First Strike Rations it’s just open and eat ( other than the drinks ). Hope y’all enjoy, I did. Be mindful of hot liquids! 😁

Me? Behave? Never 😆😆 I do like the LMC's and need to find one of the newer ones. The Canadian packaging is by far the best of any ration! Not the biggest fan of tuna but this actually sounded good. Awesome Joe!!

This menu, I have not heard of. We have lemon pepper tuna, just ginger not included. Curious to see how it tastes. Components all look good. That flavor of cold drink, and coffee, I have tried several times. Don't think I ever got A chocolate drink in one? LOL at Smitty. Tortillas do leak slightly, LOL. Compressed wet naps are awesome. I think you ate well friend. Glad you enjoyed. Peace, John. Take care Brother.

Ooooo. That's very nice -- so tasty, so trendy. It's a nice change from bread and rotten vegetables -- if they're not buying food on their own credit while on overseas deployments 😐.

Ok…I know things have never been great money wise for junior enlisted. I’m guessing worse these days???

@@bourbonstjoeNOLA No guess, and not just 'juniors'. Underpaid is one thing -- such is the world -- but the deal there is you get fed, you housed decently, you get medical care, and you get a modicum of respect from the nation. For a NATO/G7/Energy Superpower nation such as Canada to have under-equipped and underfed troops is deplorable. Our people in Poland and elsewhere in Eastern Europe 'supporting' Ukraine have been forced into debt to the point of bankruptcy because they have to buy their own food. Except for MREs, they get no rations, there are no arrangements to mess with the host nation units, and expenses submitted take more than two years to be reimbursed -- if ever. It's the same for officers -- the only difference is they and their families can better afford to pay out of pocket. It's an absolute disgrace, and any Canadian veteran will tell you the incompetence has gone on for more than 50 years -- since Trudeau the First 💩🤬. So, just don't get me started... 😐

Roger that! My reply wasn’t meant to be flippant, I seem to have struck a nerve and I apologize.
I know when my dad was in he had to work under a wage freeze for…I’m thinking 10 years? This was decades ago, but I do remember members living in Esquimalt ( Victoria ) had to go to the food bank or apply for welfare to make ends meet.
When I was in the Reserves I BELIEVE as a qualified private I was making $54.00 for a full day and $28.00 for a half day, that was 30 years ago.

@@bourbonstjoeNOLA 😀Ah, militia days -- where the shell casings were almost as green as the bread, and the corporals had more gas than the depleted cartridges for the FN C1s... 😐 No need to apologize, and my ire wasn't directed at you at all -- sorry if it came across that way. Low pay with cheap on-base beer is okay -- but now they even want to take that away... 😡

yeah, where is CT at? I told him of a new Culvers in Wichita, nuthin, no reply or like. I like the look the Canadian version of the first strike ration better, 1 the main container actually closes and seals. Food looks better too.

I would humbly decline that title. Steve is an amazing pillar of the ration community, a real OG and I’m a Canuck in his garage. I appreciate the comparison, but there’s betters candidates than I….
