For Bap's Window Achievement I recently managed to help two friends get it in back to back games, so I think our strategy is pretty reliable. Queue Open Queue, play Mauga, eat lots of damage so Bap can farm Window super fast and use E as Mauga to prevent yourself from dying. If you need to, use your ult as Mauga during losing fights to trap the enemy team so your Bap can safely escape without dying. Then just using Window and having Mauga shoot through it in Open Queue where the enemy tanks pretty much try to just eat the damage helps you get it pretty fast in 2-3 windows.
orisa is fun when shes not meta. not just because of mirror matchups, but because her playstyle is constantly ruined with each buff she gets. before orisa was a brawler focused poker, but shes a pure poke character when her cd cycle is infinite. orisa has a REALLY fun burst combo with spin into spear, and it moves them REALLY far, but she cant do that when shes forced into using all her abilities to sustain. when orisa can use her abilities offensively, shes a fun tank. when shes forced to use them to just...never die, thats NOT fun. also nah, that dude is wrong about kiri and iiari. kiri yeah, her kit is dumb, but iliari is a good example of a kit done right, her entire playstyle is "my pylon will heal you while i do damage, but when my pylon breaks, i need to invest HARD into helping my team" she was imbalanced, but her kit not only makes sense, id say her kit is REALLY well crafted. also my man just said ana has a balance between abilities and damage completely ignoring ana is a sniper who can avoid the fight, and has two of the best abilities in the game, and one of the highest damage potential of all supports in the game, ana is a great hero, but thats super cope if you think illari's kit is better then ana's.

I like Fortify in concept, but in practice it's too strong. Her quadrupedal stance and the OR-14 in the Rein cinematic both contribute to being able to hunker down and become an immovable juggernaut, the CC immunity makes complete sense and was a unique part of her identity. The headshot immunity, damage resistance, and now heat reduction are not. With the tank and armor changes coming mid season, some ways I think fortify should be changed are: [-] Lower damage resistance to 30% [-] Remove crit immunity, but the passive crit resistance plus damage resistance will add up to 50% resistance on crit so it'll basically just be like getting shot normally, plus armor reducing damage by 5 [+] Give overhealth [+] Completely pause heat buildup, her gun should also get a small rework so that it has lower damage normally but as it heats up it fires faster and has a wider spread, doing more damage but being limited to close range engagements, this way you can either decide to sit back at range and shoot or close in and abuse the paused heat generation for big damage and breaking stalemates
honestly i think replacing fortify with her ow1 shield could be cool. its not like you have to worry about double shield anymore and currently the main thing orisa feels lacking in is protecting her team
@@tau-5794 i like the overhealth idea and honestly just replacing the damage resistance with enough overhealth so that the effective health is the same would be really good for readability without changing anything. its easier to tell that someone is gonna take more health to take down when they literally have more health, and in a lot of lower ranks people genuinely just do not understand fortify and continue to shoot her even though she's taking no damage and there are much better targets. i think in the long run she needs more of a rework but that wouldn't hurt for a temporary low effort solution to how frustrating she is to fight against. but overwatch in general has a lot of problems with readability and the devs are either completely incapable of fixing it or dont even realize its an issue so i doubt anything like this will happen any time soon unfortunately

Same happened when Mauga was released. She got absolutely shredded with forced crits and was unusable. Her head is the size of a mountain, and I have won a 1v1 against Orisa who got caught without fortify with Kiriko because of that giant head. So I agree: Without fortify, Orisa is completely unusable. The same thing happened with Mauga during his preview period. His head was similar to Orisa's in size. I remember picking Hanzo and Widow against him and having crazy high headshot percentages, because all I did was try to HS Mauga. They reduced the size of his head either before release or his first balance patch.
I might be way out of touch for this but open queue with a 'max 2 per role' could be worth looking into. insuring you have at least one of each role per game and changing as needed.
I don’t really play OW, but with the changes coming for tanks, I could see a world where fortify gets changed. Specifically: Reduce the amount of extra health on fortify, Increase the effect of the new headshot damage reduction part of the tank passive coming in the future (up to 50%) while fortify is active and give nearby teammates the headshot reduction at the same time. Basically making it similar to Junker Queens Shout, except instead of a burst of health for your team, your team gets a burst of durability while you gain a significant amount of damage reduction without being too unkillable. This would give Orisa a little more agency in protecting her team while making Fortify still an impactful tool. But again, I don’t really play OW, so take that opinion, and these ideas in general, with a grain of salt as I am most certainly a less-informed party in regards to this subject. If I had to put concrete numbers down for this change however, it would probably be something like the following: - 75 Overhealth. (-25 from current) - 45% Damage Reduction (unchanged from current) - 50% Headshot Reduction. - 25% Headshot Reduction (Allies only, 15 meter range.) - 3.5s Duration. - 20% Self-slow for duration. Ultimately I think they need to find some way to make fortify feel more “interactive”, like the rest of her kit appears to be. Time will tell I suppose.
honestly i think a lot of the heroes that people don't like playing against (like orisa) are like that because theyre good at punishing bad plays that would normally go unpunished in low ranks. its super easy to spear a cocky lucio into a wall or spin a feeding rein into your team and then just win the fight off of that one pick, when really you just need to wait out her cooldowns and then all focus her truck sized head hitbox
the last one hits so damn hard, this was in role queue not even rank and i wanted to play rein since ive never played rein anymore in rank, our teams cass and pharah were literally going 20-3 and 28-1...... guess what they went? its a mei, winston and reaper..... like wtf none of you guys want to kill my dps yet you wanna just make my experience worse?
That's why I don't think making Tanks much Tankier will be good, sure you're not dying as much coz you now have 10k hp but you sure as heck are not having fun getting CC spammed or get counter-swapped the entire match. What Tanks really need are more abilities for more flexibility and anti-CC. For Tanks like Doomfist, Hog, Rein, and others that aren't as tanky as Sig and Orisa, giving them the ability to cancel/eat/deflect CCs would really help. What if Rein has a 10-second CD that gives him a 2-second armor health and CC repellant so whenever he shuts his shield off he won't explode immediately? What if Doomfist's Powerblock can cancel CCs or Convert CCs into Empowered Punch? Or what if Powerblock has Parry Right click that Parries any CCs and said parry gives him Powered Punch. What if Hog has another version of Pig Pen that opens a larger MirrorWatch Widow Shield as soon as it's plopped? I think giving Tanks abilities to instead cancel/eat/deflect CCs would be a better way to save Tanks, yes Tanks like Sig and Orisa don't really need them but most Tanks do.
Doom and Hog aren't the characters that need changes they're both pretty fine right now. Rein needs help because he quite literally brought a hammer to a gun fight. The armor changes also only effect the Tanks with armor which not every tank has the same amount or any.

I feel like they should change Kiriko cleansing ability to something that gives a kind of mobility affect as she has a teleport and her ultimate makes people faster and allows them to shoot faster so why not just make her a pure mobility support. I know we already have Lucio but another one would be kind of cool and I’m sure they could make her different.
I find Orisa fun to play when I've chosen to play her, but not fun when I HAVE to play her after getting insta countered within 30 seconds of switching to something I want to play

The way that it should be is: Tank is the easiest role; Dps is in the middle; Support is the most difficult; Whatever Blizzard did to mess that up I don't know. But tank should really just be on the front lines soaking up damage while the dps stay behind him or flank and wipe the team with the supports in the very back keeping everyone alive. But apparently not in OW.

The way that it should be is:
Tank is the easiest role;
Dps is in the middle;
Support is the most difficult;
Whatever Blizzard did to mess that up I don't know. But tank should really just be on the front lines soaking up damage while the dps stay behind him or flank and wipe the team with the supports in the very back keeping everyone alive. But apparently not in OW.

If you can't kill a surprised 250 health kiriko with 140 virus (50 from hacked + 90 one tick DoT) + her Uzi which is 160 dps p/s totalling 300 over 1.35 seconds when hack ability lockdown is 1.5 duration then I must play with far better sombras

in quick play open que I feel like teams with almost all dps usually win more, Tanks fall over SO fast its not even funny. Like I was playing qp open que and we had a doomfist.. dude was falling over SO QUICK he could do barely anything

@@rosezy755 I'm pretty sure Tanks have reduced health in Open Queue because they were constantly winning using goats meta. However I do think any competent team with three tanks and two supports rolls over any DPS team.
