Another good card to use is "Arcane Adaptation"(AA) It allows all your other cards that you control on the field, hand, grave or deck to also be Horrors. This way even if you steal a creature from your opponent's grave with N'ghathrod you'll still benefit from the mill and menace effect. (Also Psyonic Ritual). With the AA in mind, this allows us to also put a few non-horror creatures in the deck! Finaly there's another staple in Mill decks, it's a bit expensive, but combo's super hard with "Maddening Cacophony" (MC). And that card is "Bruvac The Grandiloquent". Kicked MC makes an opponent mill half their library. With "Bruvac" this becomes the ENTIRE library because the text on "Bruvac" states that any mill effect that occurs makes them mill twice as much. So that's a nice finisher! (Beware through, Bruvac is a "Kill on Sight"' card. So pick the moment to have him on the field wisely. Also look up "Rise of the Dark Realms" for if you ever reach late game :P Have fun milling everyone!
Was waiting for that video for ages Dimir is the best. The additions you made all look solid and reasonable. Have to say the 50$ don't look like much. Milling 3 people alone is hard since nobody else does it unlike getting lifetotal to 0 which is the "main" game plan for your opponents. Dusk Mangler,Forgotten Creation and Chasm Skulk don't really fit into this deck imo and Temple of the False God isn't great. Also replacing Thought Vessel for a Dimir Keyrune might be an option. Yes it's slower ramp but i don't think you need the max handsize and a 2/2 unblockable could help in the long run. Would like to see a bigger upgrade for like 300-500$ to up it into a 7-8 Power.
I love this deck but it really struggles with curve. There's far too many 5-7 drop horrors and not enough 2-4s. I've had some good games with it but found it hard to close out a game
@@CommanderMechanic I think Herald's Horn, as much as I love the card, just ends up being a 3 mana rock. Need over 30 creatures to make it a 1/3 chance.
How has the spider Horror been testing? I ended up dropping Hullbreaker Horror as 7 mana for it to do nothing, then having to cast other spells to maybe bounce something was just too much.
plague spitter+ charisma = steal their board. use Perplex as a tutor for what ever piece you need, or as a hard decision counter spell. or use Drift of phantasms for a tutor/flying defender with 5 toughness. can also keep Dimir Machinations for tutoring either 3 mana card piece, or for messing up a planned draw set up by a player using scry mechanics, by exiling.
I don’t like Phenax in this list. As much as mill is great, I think Cap is a combat deck just like Umbris is. My build is mostly ramp and recursion, with mill cards replaced by things like whisper silk cloak and key to the city.

When the mill artifacts were mentioned, I was genuinely expecting Altar of Dementia to show up
I avoided sacrifice synergies. Outside of TWO token producers you only have high value creatures to lose, and I don't think this deck can risk that.
Im on the fence with that as well, but I figured im gonna be stealing other peoples creatures, and i just wanna use it on them lol
Uchuulon slaps with altar of the brood.
I added phyrexian obliterator to mine, among other things.

that's why the first thing I addressed was the curve!

Nice decktech!
consuming aberration would go hard in this deck ngl

The defensive benefits alone have been great, but incidentally drawing 5-7 cards has been awesome
@@CommanderMechanic ya I think I'm gonna find room for it. I really don't know if the 1 drop changling is worth it. All it ever does is mills for 1...
@@CommanderMechanic The reason Changling Outcast works so well in Anawon is he gives it +1/+1.

Eldrazi smash!
Mesmeric orb mills everybody
Eater of the dead with phenax god = infinite mill
It’s very good but not guaranteed. I have fizzled out with it in the past.

Whisper silk cloak seems perfect here
Endless evil is nuts in my reaper king changeling deck. Its build for land destruction, and I have vowed to never play it...
