- In this one, we head out to one of my favorite spots to enjoy one unbelievably beautiful day! Almost 80 degree weather is an anomaly in March in Montana so even if we found nothing, it would still be a great day, but we were pleasantly surprised to come away with a little bit of everything! Beautiful Montana Moss Agates, rainbow colored jaspers, petrified and agatized wood, pearl mussels, coral fossils, and fantastic Baculites all in one day!!! It was amazing! After we get back to the shop we get everything cleaned up and get some good closeups on our favorite finds! I hope you all enjoy this one, and look forward to some awesome Florida rock and fossil hunts coming very soon!
Hope to see you at the Billings Gem and Mineral show at the Albedo Shrine on Broadwater on April 30th and May 1st! It's going to be a lot of fun! For more information check out the Billings gem and mineral club's facebook page!

GEORGEOUS JASPER, I need big letters to state that🤣🤣
Wowzers... love that Red Jasper😍❣
Think I watched this 2x....always wonderful to see
Dude! those jasper’s were amazing! one week before you need to hide all the good stuff before I arrive! see ya (maybe) at the rock show!
Wooww.. Amazing 😍😍😍 theo 👍👍
I enjoyed all the beautiful rocks you both found. I really like the thick moss in the agates that you find.
Amazing video 👍👍
Great hunt!!! Love the Agates by far.
Holy cow! you fell into a jackpot of a honey hole! all of those beautiful treasures
At the 3:08-3:12 mark behine the large grey rock in the foreground below the agatized wood you're checking out a nice giant piece of mostly white petrified wood, and very top left of same frame a really nice piece of red n white Jasper. I so want to go hounding there....lol Glad you had such an excellent day & gratz on your scores🥰
Nice Theo & Alexis interaction in this one. Floyd-ness!! Such nice jaspers.
The corals and petrified woods, hands down, but that one red jasper *chef's kiss*
Agates are cool, but the jasper is amazing.
Montana does have gorgeous rocks.
Wow! Every find was so amazing! That jasper, that looked like a fairburn was super beautiful! Im glad that the weather was so gloriously warm, after the typical Montana winter! It was awesome to see you, alexis, and all three doggies, out on the river, and finding such amazing finds! Wonderful day for sure!
That jasper was mind-blowing, stunning agate as well! Whatta fantastic day! BTW, I liked you scruffy!
Ohhhh, lovely finds. Jaspers & agatized wood, Montana moss agate…well all of it is beautiful!
The Baculites were the best part of the day for me, love the iridescence 🦛
I love finding the little super banded agates there so cool 👍
It's always a beautiful and fun day hanging out with you Theo! Thanks man!
Hi Theo, so many great pieces from that hunt, the ones that really caught my eye were those red jaspers, the colours seem so vibrant on video.
Another captivating video, Keep Safe & Keep Rockin
FLOYD, that's my dog's name too!!! After Pink Floyd! My favorite band of all time!
Once again fantastic video. Loved that orange agate. those jaspers to cool. Thanks Theo
For your consideration, sir: There are common terms for mineral replacement such as agatized & jasperized and even siliconized as a broad term, but poor little chert has been left out of the party altogether. I propose the term enchertification to henceforth be known throughout the land as the process which leads to such specimens as are shown in this video at the 3:33 mark, if it please the court.
I completely agree and have independently decided to use that term. enchertification sounds better than chertification, which is what I came up with 👍🏼
The high Court has reviewed your proposal and has ruled in favor of your addendum; may the worlds henceforth know this geological process as "enchertification"!
Good day indeed!
Cheers Theo & Alexis & all the dogs, great video.
Another good one. Thanks for sharing all the goodness! Be happy, safe and stay healthy 🤔⚒
I don’t know how you pick them. I’d be like...I’m gonna need a bigger bucket 🤪
Moss Agates are so freaking cool. I used to not like the agates so much, but I am slowly falling for them again! THAT MOSS!!! 💙💚
8:40 i think it could be a head effigy profile side out of agate, a prehistoric artifact man! Cheers!
So many beautiful rocks! Love the white banded Montana agate!
I LOVE stones and crystal and I’ve been thinking abt working with them when I’m older! Anyways amazing video!
Oh that was fun. My favorite was the small coral. So pretty
Wow! That last jasper would look insanely good as a sphere!!!
The swirly jasper thingy was the best. Thanks.
Theo, what a variety of awesome finds! Those red jaspers were so intense in color! I couldn't pick a favorite because all of yours and Alexis' finds were amazing. Glad your weather is getting warmer.
Man that amazing different colors mixed in the intense red I want beautiful red ring with wire wrapped around the and part yes!
Beautiful day and beautiful stones, it is a pleasure to be with you by the river. If I can beg for a little longer footage in the store on the stones, we can longer enjoy.
Baculites and coral will forever be my fave fossils. They all are amazing in their own way. Always find unique ones I love it theo.
Love the unusual red jasper one and the agate one that looks like it has teeth in it
amazing place, many kinds of stones in this location. you and your friends are great friends
I want that bright red jasper!!! Nice finds!
Every time I go through MT, I make sure to stop at every gravel bar I can find. I'm in Arkansas at the moment. I wish I knew what you know. I've got so many rocks collected from here to the pacific and no clue what most of them are
Hiya Theo, awesome video! I love....me some coral! Lol, really.... that's what I make cabs out of, I make others too but, it's one of my favs. By the time we get them here they just not very big. But I had a Great time watching your video, stay safe out there with crazy Kyle. 😉 he's a awesome dude, stay safe and I hope you and the Misses have a awesome blessed day. Cya!
😺🐟 out!
Sweet finds. I really loved the 2 jaspers you found at timestamp 10:34 I love the bright reds. All your finds were beautiful today. I also love banded chert too. I find small ones here in Michigan. Thanks for sharing.
Such amazing finds !!!
All you finds were amazing such beautiful colours and beautiful weather. Will look forward to seeing what you do with the red jasper. Amazing
That was a really fun hunt. It was especially enjoyable to see the 'not sure' ones turn out. Loved the petrified wood, of course, though they're all lovely. Thanks for bringing us along!
Dang! You all are my kinda people. You all look like your having a Blast getting giddy. Your in a sweet spot there.
Nice rock hunt. Thanks for sharing!!
Nice rocks, looking forward to see some of them cut 👍🏻
Great finds! Nice slap catch too.
Aw u need to come back and make jewelry every time u come back be awesome
Torn between those agates and the baculites. I think I may have to go with the fossils on this one - GREAT spot there!
A crazy good hunt, I love it!
That big red jasper is my favorite. Amazing deep color! A beaded red necklace, doncha think? 😉
Beautiful finds! I find such similar things in Tasmania ❤️
But they are beach worn, and sooo much smaller!
So many big waterline agates that are very ordinary, maybe I need to cut some!
Jasper is incredible here, I have fist sized pieces, probably not your fist 🤣 but mine, lol.
I'm finally becoming a little more picky about what I take home! And even deliver earlier finds back to the beach now!
Came here from Rookie, thanks for the learning from Rookie, Alexis and yourself, 18mths on I have a treasure trove of beauties! Grateful love from me and my border collie Ted. ❤️🐾
Where was with this? Love your enthusiasm.
Dude I absolutely love your channel. I've nearly watched all your video's and its helped me tremendously to find rocks. I live in the UK so it's hard pushed to beat your finds!
Very nice. I have a. Few rocks you might like moss agate banned .geodes crystals.
My favorite aria for hounding was in and around barstoe California for jasper ,moss agate, turquoise, thunder eggs and many other gemstones.
I moved to New Mexico from Washington State, and I am finding cherts, petrified wood and agate here that blow me away laying around everywhere. You probably know these things already, but I can share with you a spot on the Pacific coast in Oregon where you can find large, beautiful agates and many smaller ones including the dark agates all day long. Very specific location for the large ones making it easy - time of year makes a difference.
I subscribed as soon as I watched this. Looking forward to more videos from you past and future. Thanks for your enthusiasm and both of you have great trained eyes.
👀
Wow 💞
OMG!!! You really found some amazing finds on this adventure!! One of the last rocks you showed at the ending was gorgeous, but I'm still learning names and how to identify so I don't remember what is was called? Anyway, they were all awesome! You ROCK!! He,he,he🤭🤣
Omg beautiful finds 💖😍💗
You make me feel so loved 💕 💗 💓 💖
80* one day, blizzard the next 😂 can't wait to see if there's snow on the ground in your next video. That is, IF you were able to make it outside. 🔥🔥🔥 ROCKS
I love watching your videos. It reminds me of when i would go rockhounding on the beaches of California. Im in Lebanon TN now. And i cant find nothing lol. I did go to Arkansas to Mt. Fisher and payed $100 to dig up a few crystal's
Man you guys in Montana have the best gravel bars for rockhounding in the USA!
12.23 go to the p in jasper in the title on full screen and go down the tiniest bit to see what you missed (pale gold colour lots of banding)
3:00 IT'S A HEART
Seriously theo… why can’t I freakinnnnn teleport!?! In the words of Sir Bobby Duke… I waaaaaaant thaaaaaayat! All of them. I just want to hound the Yellowstone with y’a man! Ughhhh! One day!
We will make it happen one day brother!!!i gotta come to your neck of the woods and we gotta get you on the yellowstone!😂
Theo , what rough area are you at. I’m in Idaho and would like to go to Montana in the summer
I’ve said this about several of your videos, but geez this was a fantastic one! Love the combination of finds, love the the back and forth btw you and your lovely lady, Alexis. Only criticism is not enough puppy time!
I really love the end where you show the closeups and have the titles, because it is really educational. But finally, I think I’ve commented on it before, you have the ABSOLUTE VERY BEST music in your vids!
Oh! Suggestion/request. For those of us who don’t have access to many of the rocks you find by the dozen, is there any possibility you could do a 30 second summary back at the shop about how to tell some of the similar looking rocks apart?
Thanks!
Dude dude at 10:56 when you reach there’s what appears to be amethyst just left to your hand!
Make a three tiered necklace out of the one that looks sort of tiger striped
I love your ch brother thanks for sharring. I loved so many of them I don’t even know lol when can we see them cut? Do you go to the Tuscan show ever?
Hes smiling back at your u with a little side grin….
11:02 he missed a cool piece of pet wood in the top left corner of the screen!
Earned it, sub’d
Theo, I'm heading to Billings next weekend Nov 4.. hopefully no snow. Any advice on where to head to? I was in fairburn and tee pee canyon last week and found some beauties. When I UT them I'll share
I can't help but wonder if you are a geologist. If not where did you study rocks?
What is the spraying device? Thanks! Take Care! Good Hunting!
What are TSAs please? I’m curious
สวัดดีมีสุขสมหวัง.สมปารถนา.ขอบคุณมากกับภาพ.และวิดีโอของคุณ..ขอพระเจ้าอวยพร..คุณๆ.ทุกคน..
You have no wind because it all came down to Missouri.
Nice Agates and Jasper. You on West coast or east coast
What are you spraying on the rocks?! Is it just water?? Or..?
Yep! Its just plain old tap water😄 helps a lot to ID good ones when you can spray the silt off
I'm a beginner, is that water your spraying the rocks?
Yes it is! Just tap water, helps a lot to ID good ones in the field when you can clean them off a bit first
Hi Theo. Do I have to pay to find directions to this area?
I'm curious what all the small colorful ones are
