Or use it to reroll the mantis gear set before you open the mannequin door. Also quick save after being forced to pay someone during dialog and then pickpocket them or anyone standing nearby to get your credstix back lol works every time
Don't you quick saves to save scum. It is way to easy to override the save. Always use a hard save. Creation Engine also has historically had issues with quick saves and autosaves over long term causing corrupt files. The day one patch on Starfield corrected some of these issues, but some likely still exist. I have turned off all possible auto saves and only use hard saves. I have literally thousands of saves that likely take up gigabytes, but I will clear them when I NG+.
Protip on recovery items. When you're scrolling through your aid menu, it shows the icon the item can cure at the *top* and all your current affliction icons at the *bottom* and they are all color coded so you can quickly see what you need, and if you should pop an advanced one or basic ones.
Bethesda always designs the UI for controllers from 10 feet on console and then gives PC players the same UI. Proper PC keyboard and mouse UI is left to modders.
Always quick save after looting a legendary. I find it quite common that you’ll loot a legendary then walk around a corner into a grenade and flammable barrel, wombs combo.
Its worth noting that fast travelling directly into your ship while planet side doesn't trip the auto save. (If they then launched and were attached in space it could be an issue)
Once I did a quest and it asked me to "take care of someone" well I walked up and shot the guy right in the face. Well.. low and behold I had to fight the security and every ballsy civilian in the place. Racked up a $400,000 bounty and couldn't progress at all. Thankfully I could reload my original save because holy shit. I couldn't even land to pay my bounty much less afford it. They would shoot on sight and 400k don't come easy. 😂
I wouldn't mind lockpicking if I didn't have to do it all the freaking time. Every time I turn around there's a door, case or box to unlock. It's exhausting. These days I just pass by anything locked. At this point in my gameplay, there's nothing there that's better than what I'm carrying.
I also use the sorting trick for meds, but use weight instead of value as all the important med items are all .10 mass. Puts them all at the bottom of the list making quick selling easy. Thanks for the vid, great job!

With the XP buffs it''s worthwhile adding a food XP buff too as they stack. It's only an extra 2% on top of the 10 or 15 but every little bit adds up over time - there are a few including Shepherd's Pie, Alien Tea, Tranquilitea and others. Shepherd's Pie is the best for most players as it gives you a 60 minute buff, but if you have chosen the Kid Stuff trait you have access to Grandma's Meatloaf which gives you a 120 minute buff. Buffs from the same source overwrite each other and only the strongest counts, but in most cases (including XP) buffs from different sources stack so you can have a food item and rest buff at the same time. One change I'd like to see in game is the Sleeping Bag being portable & usable whilst exploring like they are in real life (or a portable tent like hab you can pop up to rest in).
If you have a follower add all your med parts to them..every time you have an affliction trade with them and it will be in your "new" tab for easy application (directly to the forehead lol)
All vendor restocks are timed on UT Universal time NOT local time so when waiting always go by UT to determine how long to wait. Thanx for the vid Mumble! I found several of the tips in your list were news to me.
Not just that but make sure you’re waiting 48 hours universal time, waiting 24 hours on new Atlantis works but a lot of places won’t have their local hours equal to more than two hours. This is also really useful if you’re on one of those Planets where each hour is like multiple days, having to only wait one hour saves a ton of time.

Idk if it’s just me but when I was about %90 done with all missions and side quests, every time I travel it would save, freeze then kick me to the menu. Everytime I opened up the menu it would auto save at the same time and would freeze and kick me to the main screen again. When I would try to save it would work %35 of the time, usually it would freeze and boot me to screen again and say “Save is corrupt”. Had to turn off all the auto save features to where it would only save if I saved. It worked but it was bullshit. Probably because I save scummed and initiated mission related stuff that wasn’t supposed to happen yet. Guess it was my fault for exploring…
So you can sell items from your ship, but can you buy items and have them sent directly to your ship? I also removed a gun from my ship and can’t figure out how to add it to another ship. Can’t find it anywhere in the ship building interface. Can easily buy new guns, but how do you access guns in storage, if it’s not in the list does that just mean it’s not equitable to the other ship??? So confusing!!!!!🫤 I hope they do some more updates on inventory and storage
Be careful with transferring from ship, I thought the Jettison button was sending to me but it was deleting my items! My fault for not know what it means I guess
I was using Jettison for all my resources when I had more than I could tell and storing them in the lodge and this whole time I thought I was storing them with the store all button and I was just deleting everything ugh!

@@Ragehaven haha I also invested heavily in science traits as I felt there was so much content locked behind it. The combat skills are nice but none were compelling enough for me to dump massive points into them
This video misses that you can access your ship cargo from like 100m away if you just open up your ship menu and hit the cargo hold button.
250 meters, actually. So long as you're within that range you can freely trade between yourself and the cargo hold. So if you purchased or looted a bunch of resources, for example, you can press the 'Store All Resources' button to dump everything into the cargo hold and then be on your way.
5:07 that storage crate doesn't exist in NG+ for some reason.
I think it might be tired to a certain progression point of the campaign, could be wrong though
The Joy is in the Journey. If it's all about saving time, why even bother playing? You'll save time by touching grass and avoiding the game entirely. 🙄
good vid. thx
GGs....how do you slide on keyboard and mouse?....
It's a perk in fitness
Yo is uncle mumble Cam M. ??
Why can’t we just press to rotate slower, it’s stupid as hell right now
Needed survival mode. Too easy even on very hard.
so your telling me i don't need 300 wrenches and 500 impact drivers?
Heh... I do have a habit of hoarding High Speed Data Cables though.
😂
i wonder why bethesda didn't made the buildmode like fallout4/fallout76....
the ultra aggressive snapping and rotation of starfield buildmode is garbage to say the least
also the cargo links between outposts should be more like fallout4, much less stress and user friendly
best tip and trick, dont play it until its on discount/cracked and you can install 600 sex mods
Tip 1 on how to not waste time in Starfield - Play Baldurs Gate 3 instead.
I've heard character models are ugly and facial animation is outdated. If it's true then it's a deal breaker for me.
Why not just watch one of the hundreds of videos and decide for yourself
Some of the filler npcs are creepy af looking. The important npcs/companions look fine.
Why the 👌 do you want to get famous that bad ? Haha
So confusing!!!!!🫤
I hope they do some more updates on inventory and storage
Be careful with transferring from ship, I thought the Jettison button was sending to me but it was deleting my items! My fault for not know what it means I guess
I was using Jettison for all my resources when I had more than I could tell and storing them in the lodge and this whole time I thought I was storing them with the store all button and I was just deleting everything ugh!
