I love this. My girls were talking about being in church and the clothes they have to wear. Watching this make me so glad I spend all that time in church. My girlfriend and were talking one day, we both agreed at that time we would have changed some thing about spending so much time in church. Some time has passed and I look back and thank God I did. I couldn't see my growth then. If I hadn't spend nearly every night in church I may not have grown to the level I'm at now. I remember telling my co-worker years ago the days I spend in church. Sunday all day, Monday choir rehearsal, Tuesday with the Youth Explosion, Wednesday night Bible Study at the satellite church, Thursday night Bible Study at the headquarters church and Friday night regular service. That's too much for some people but I was broken. I was devastated from my broken marriage and struggling trying to make ends meet. If I didn't have God I may have lost my mind. He's a keeper even when you don't know you're being kept. I enjoy Generations keep sharing.
Thanks for this type of program because it needs to reach Our Young Mother's who are raising children alone. They need to know You can have God fearing Sons who love the Lord. I chose to teach my only Son about God and having a relationship with him. He knew right from wrong but the pull of the world is so strong in Young peoples lives these days that they almost always chose glitter and glamor Over a relationship with God. But, this is wrong and I feel this is why we have so many of Our Young Black men incarcerated and with felony records. All that glitters is not gold. I have had to live without my only Son because he chose the world way and is now locked up!!!! This program needs to be produced and aired in the Black Communities!!!!!
Life church or life in church, centered around church building up ourselves, family, friends and neighbors in and through Christ is what the 1st church looked like. Fasting, speaking in tongues, laying on of hands and so forth is what every believer needs to live globally! Miracles and leadership by example in every day Christians are among the core things that will draw unbelievers and believing prodigals into the fold in these last days.

Debbie's statement, "Don't negotiate with your children..." We get you to ALL your activities so don't make church an option for them. We must understand our assignment as parents to train our children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. We cannot make them be saved but we should create a desire for them to want a relationship with the Lord as we lead by godly example. Just going to church is not enough but it's a good place to be if what's being said and done (shown) is of God. Again, be that godly example in your home first realizing that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. You're the church....the Kingdom of God is within you. Great episode. Knew that you all were raised in the church. I was not raised anywhere near a church and the thought of going to church was the last thing in my parents minds. We lived in turmoil all the while when i was young. I for some reason always wanted to go to church and if a friend went to church i would ask if i could tag along. I went to catholic, seventh day, Mormon, Baptist, etc. Never heard of born again or Holy Spirit. In my sorrow of the life i had i would cry at night and pray, not knowing i was praying. Hard growing up and was abused, sent away to boarding school. Not until a born again man was hired at my jobsite and ministered the word to me i realized was i needed. Had a good pastor, taught spiritual teachings, "Assembly of God church. When he left things went down hill. I try and stay in the Word and Cee Cee's music has given me encouragement. My boys, in their 40s need prayer . Music helps me realize how God knows men's hearts and he is our healer and redeemer. Thanks for your program.

This is a beautiful and interesting conversation…I love this…I’ve often wondered what has all this kind of Christian Community gone… I remember the shut ins and the all night prayer meetings, the fasting and prayer and listening to saints of God like, Elder Stacks and Mother Boyd and her birthing spiritual babies man you would really see a real move of God… I miss this kind of ministering. Growing up my family was not church goers but my mother sent me to Sunday School, and I remember so vividly, Pastor Carter who took the time to take me to Sunday School and this gentle giant is one of the reasons I came to know Jesus for myself, because coming from a home where there was constant chaos and abuse of all kind. Pastor Carter became a refuge and a tower of strength he made me want to know Jesus, not only by his teachings but his walk. and a few years ago I got to thank him personally for being my representation of Christ. Because of what I'm hearing you guys say, I think that's what's messing in the home, and that's parenting. And knowing how to articulate or communicate with your children. The house hold today is a one parent house hold, where you have young mothers raising children. Them not having any guidance because of their single mom who raised them. The devil tactic of taking the father out of the home it's where our problem came. So we have to think of other ways to raise our children in a godly way. My children are grown. But I'm sharing this broadcast because I know a lot of people need to hear this. It could change our world.

I hope you don't mine if I answer your question, with an excerpt, from my personal experience. You asked, how do we get the young people, to fall in love with Jesus? Well, love for Jesus, came into my heart. While my grandmother was reading to me. "The miracle of Jesus' The Five Loaves of Bread, and the Two Fish. A light came up out the bible. Traveled across the room, and put love for Jesus, inside of me. Then the Lord added the increase, by touching my mother's heart. To read Jesus' words to us, every day; taught us Christ's principals, and put them on the wall. Along with Shakespear, and the Morales from the stories, of Aesop's fables. We saw my mother calling upon the Lord, for strength and grace, every day! We saw God's wisdom, implemented into our lives every day, with order, schedules, and substitutes for all of our play and activities, because my dad wouldn't let my mom work publicly, and only left a $1.25 on the table, to buy for eight children. God was faithful to my mother. God also, touch my grandmother's heart. To take us to church every Sunday; and to participate. I pray, our Lord will continue to bless, you CeCe, with funds for your show. Blessing your home and families. Gracing all your efforts, viewers, friends, and each generation! Lol! My 1st fast (no food or water) was a 3 day fast with our church at age 4 or 5 ('79 or '80). I remember collard greens smelling up the house near the end of the fast. I saw a small piece of a collard leaf on the counter, took it and ate it. Y'all, I'm not a greens person, but it tasted so good! It was cooked and seasoned well... Sadly, I kept the guilt of that small leaf cheat moment for decades! Fast forwarding to 2022, I reflect with thankfulness on fasting and its effectiveness over the years. Extended fasting for me is usually 3 days of nothing (food or drink) and then water only or one meal daily. The 1st few days are hard but honey......if you saturate in that word and exaltation music ('cause not all "Christian" or "Gospel" music puts our focus on Him) and cut out ALL distractions, you find Word food and His presence More filling and More satisfying than physical food. I'm from a large musical family too and it's challenging at times to plant those seeds and trust that God's word works...ESPECIALLY with teens and young adult prodigals. Nevertheless, fasting is a great way to go off the grid and plug into God even when health challenges limit our ability to hard core fast. The Daniel fast and one meal a day fasting are effective alternatives for me when I keep water as my only liquid and eliminate salt and sugar. Gotta put 'dat flesh under if you want breakthrough! Great segment ladies!
We have changed church to fast in this generation. That fasting took me back! But I know how to turn that plate down as an adult now! I pray with my baby everyday and read scriptures. We can't make God an after thought! Pass it on!

This is a beautiful and interesting conversation…I love this…I’ve often wondered what has all this kind of Christian Community gone… I remember the shut ins and the all night prayer meetings, the fasting and prayer and listening to saints of God like, Elder Stacks and Mother Boyd and her birthing spiritual babies man you would really see a real move of God… I miss this kind of ministering. I so-so grateful for how God raised me in him and my grandparents and the men and women that he used to teach how to live holy❤🙏🏾
This is so wonderful...thank you beautiful ladies ❤ ❤ as I am listening to today's concept on "Generations" bridging the gap. I am reminded of God's unfailing love. Growing up my family was not church goers but my mother sent me to Sunday School, and I remember so vividly, Pastor Carter who took the time to take me to Sunday School and this gentle giant is one of the reasons I came to know Jesus for myself, because coming from a home where there was constant chaos and abuse of all kind. Pastor Carter became a refuge and a tower of strength he made me want to know Jesus, not only by his teachings but his walk. and a few years ago I got to thank him personally for being my representation of Christ. This conversation is so necessary today. Blessings ❤

Because of what I'm hearing you guys say, I think that's what's messing in the home, and that's parenting. And knowing how to articulate or communicate with your children. The house hold today is a one parent house hold, where you have young mothers raising children. Them not having any guidance because of their single mom who raised them. The devil tactic of taking the father out of the home it's where our problem came. So we have to think of other ways to raise our children in a godly way. My children are grown. But I'm sharing this broadcast because I know a lot of people need to hear this. It could change our world.

Topic so relatable. We stayed in church so much including prayer revivals. My mother used say we were born on the pews..Sundays we looked forward to baked macaroni & cheese, fried chicken and cornbread.

I hope you don't mine if I answer your question, with an excerpt, from my personal experience.
You asked, how do we get the young people, to fall in love with Jesus? Well, love for Jesus, came into my heart. While my grandmother was reading to me. "The miracle of Jesus' The Five Loaves of Bread, and the Two Fish. A light came up out the bible. Traveled across the room, and put love for Jesus, inside of me. Then the Lord added the increase, by touching my mother's heart. To read Jesus' words to us, every day; taught us Christ's principals, and put them on the wall. Along with Shakespear, and the Morales from the stories, of Aesop's fables. We saw my mother calling upon the Lord, for strength and grace, every day!
We saw God's wisdom, implemented into our lives every day, with order, schedules, and substitutes for all of our play and activities, because my dad wouldn't let my mom work publicly, and only left a $1.25 on the table, to buy for eight children. God was faithful to my mother.
God also, touch my grandmother's heart. To take us to church every Sunday; and to participate. I pray, our Lord will continue to bless, you CeCe, with funds for your show. Blessing your home and families. Gracing all your efforts, viewers, friends, and each generation! Lol! My 1st fast (no food or water) was a 3 day fast with our church at age 4 or 5 ('79 or '80). I remember collard greens smelling up the house near the end of the fast. I saw a small piece of a collard leaf on the counter, took it and ate it. Y'all, I'm not a greens person, but it tasted so good! It was cooked and seasoned well... Sadly, I kept the guilt of that small leaf cheat moment for decades! Fast forwarding to 2022, I reflect with thankfulness on fasting and its effectiveness over the years. Extended fasting for me is usually 3 days of nothing (food or drink) and then water only or one meal daily. The 1st few days are hard but honey......if you saturate in that word and exaltation music ('cause not all "Christian" or "Gospel" music puts our focus on Him) and cut out ALL distractions, you find Word food and His presence More filling and More satisfying than physical food. I'm from a large musical family too and it's challenging at times to plant those seeds and trust that God's word works...ESPECIALLY with teens and young adult prodigals. Nevertheless, fasting is a great way to go off the grid and plug into God even when health challenges limit our ability to hard core fast. The Daniel fast and one meal a day fasting are effective alternatives for me when I keep water as my only liquid and eliminate salt and sugar. Gotta put 'dat flesh under if you want breakthrough! Great segment ladies!
We have changed church to fast in this generation. That fasting took me back! But I know how to turn that plate down as an adult now! I pray with my baby everyday and read scriptures. We can't make God an after thought! Pass it on!
