My blower resistor worked, but it drew so much current that in cold weather and therefore full fan power, I had speed drops when braking and disengaging at traffic lights or intersections. I almost dismantled the entire engine until I figured out that it was coming from this part. Febi is trash I buyed that Mahle for 43 bucks from Amazon. And FYI there are 2 variations. abs 33000 or abs 55000 Where the spines are triangular or square. Be careful otherwise it won't fit.
I was going to replace mine this staurday. I ordered a resistor... but it was wrong.. for me it's an regulator.. .the resistor had a lot of more pins and did not have this "triangle" chape the regulator has. (including the older one). I am hoping I can do a return and get a regulator instead... (: Great video though! I used a pair of pliers since the clips were stuck so hard and hurt my fingers 😂
Thanks, everything went well until this morning, the battery got drained out AGAIN... I have no clue what to do now and it's starting to irritate me more and more now... :(@@e39enthusiast14
Hi, it did for me. That was the problem I was having. I would turn the fan speed on high and it didn't blow much. Replacing the resistor solved the problem and the fan/blower has been working perfectly since then.
Hi. Do you know if it is possible to check whether the "hedgehog" is functional using a computer and INPA? I mean is not to disassemble it unnecessarily.
Hi, I don't know. I have read on the Bimmerfest forums that a couple of people were able to repair the old "hedgehog". I didn't attempt to repair mine, I just replaced it.
Thank you for posting this. Quick, easy fix that works wonders!
Thank you man I fix my car for 5 minutes, that was easy❤️🙏🏽

Thanks for the Video. I saved a repair job at the shop!
Glad it worked! Mine's still working more than a year later.
