Is your ac/heater fan/blower not working? My blower fan would intermittently not blow at full power. The final stage resistor (FSR) could be the culprit. My blower resistor worked, but it drew so much current that in cold weather and therefore full fan power, I had speed drops when braking and disengaging at traffic lights or intersections. I almost dismantled the entire engine until I figured out that it was coming from this part. Febi is trash I buyed that Mahle for 43 bucks from Amazon. And FYI there are 2 variations. abs 33000 or abs 55000 Where the spines are triangular or square. Be careful otherwise it won't fit.

    Few things to let you know. Your oil filter is supposed to come out with your filter cap. There's plastic retaining tabs that become brittle, and break over time. I recommend replacing the oil filter cap. It's partially the reason why your oil filter housing didn't drain when you removed the cap. Next, the original (and current) manufacturer for the oil filter for this engine is HENGST. They also make the oil filter cap (you can see the brand on the inside of the cap). You can order everything separately from FCP Euro, and they will still qualify for the lifetime replacement. Also, I would highly recommend you drop the belly ban and brake clean that entire underbody, it looks like it's pissing oil! Good luck!

    • @e39enthusiast14
      @e39enthusiast14 6 місяців тому

      Thank you so much ! I'll order a new cap for the next oil change. Great idea for the brake clean. Hopefully I can figure out where the leak is coming from. I was debating bringing it to the shop to have them tell me where it's leaking from. I'll give your idea a try first.

      Its supposed to be dropped... it would be quite stupid to put your dirty hands on a polished car so it definitely wasnt designed to be pushed in by your hand :D grab the bottom of the hood/bonnet, pull it down and drop it gently :D damage and smudge free unless the struts (or how theyre called in english) holding it are well past their prime too.
