In case you wondered what Teimo might say about cuckoo when the Kesseli youngster comes in the shop drunk, it's kännissä ku käki 'drunk like a cuckoo'.
It's a Finnish expression for being wasted drunk, the cuckoo is mainly there, because the words rhyme at their beginning: känni (drunkenness, kännissä = in dr… that state has many expressions in Finnish, känni is just one & käki = cuckoo bird). Also we say in Finnish that somebody is kukkuu - 'cuckoo' (the sound), when he or she's out of his mind somehow - drunk, mental case, or just behaving oddly. Often accompanied with you can't get a coherent answer from him (/her).
