I just got a new diamond stone and the 1k grit feels like a 100 grit sandpaper to the hand. I haven’t done any breaking in yet but I was wondering if that’s normal or if I got a crap stone.

Would you do this to a KME diamond stone?
I just got a new diamond stone and the 1k grit feels like a 100 grit sandpaper to the hand. I haven’t done any breaking in yet but I was wondering if that’s normal or if I got a crap stone.

Should never use WD-40 on diamond stone's as it breaks down the adhesive that hold the diamond coating on the plate.
Should oil be used or is dry the right way?
