One thing I'd like to add is just because the driver hasn't gone to F1 doesn't mean they haven't been on F1 radar. Multi champions Scott Dixon and Will Power I think had at some point been on some short lists for F1 teams. Both have chose not to leave because they liked the series more than F1 where the quality of the car means more than the driver.
If I was him, I'd go straight to Indy, or IMSA....and I'd be glad to go. Was he ANY good? I don't know, because F1 didn't really give him a chance, did they?🤔 Sometimes, a move to F1 works out, and sometimes it doesn't. Look at Colopinto, Antonelli, and Bearman: 1st time out, they're in the points. Antonelli's 1st time out, he's in the barrier after 2 laps. It happens. F1 depends on the talent you have, the 💰 you have behind you, and the team you're on. All 3 factors determine how long of a leash you have in F1. How else do you explain Lance Stroll, Mazepin, and Goatifi?🤣 I don't know what the pay difference is, but what I do know is you can see Indy on TV every week, so the fan support is there, and the advertising money is there. What more do you need?🤔
I like the thought of him getting picked up I think bringing any F1 driver to Indy would bring more views for Indy
