We put the same roofing on 5 of our structures now. We made our cuts with a cutoff wheel. Actually let me rephrase that.... my husband made the cuts😂. He did a nice job too! That is going to look soooooo nice! You did a great job! That is hard work!

I'm sorry you lost the install video because that's the part I wanted to see. That's the same roofing I want to install on my new cabin.
Danny here is a few tips on cutting metal take an old circular saw blade put it in you saw backwards and it will cut metal like butter up to 3 sheets, but always cut on the back side of the metal not the painted side and always put the cut edge under the ridge cap, as for screwing metal use a impact its way way faster than a drill, and I know this is old footage because of your tractor
We use to do that when I! installed metal roofs. But after guys had to go to the doctor to get metal fragments out of them we had to quit and use tools made for the job. Insurance issue.
To me I prefer a metal roof with hidden fasteners. It looks cleaner with no chance of leaks. Those rubber washers on the fasteners dry out and have a chance of leaking. I wouldn't chance it.

Roof looks great 👍! No offense, but shouldn’t that chimney have been just a little bit taller to get it further above the roof ?
The pipe sticks up 2 feet above the chimney.
I noticed there at the chimney before the lost video you put the tin roof right down on the lathing you don't use osb and felt before the tin ..a couple others I've seen putting on the tin roofing they used the osb and it wasn't exactly felt but it was like felt I'm not saying your wrong your way would definitely be cheaper ..I'm just trying to learn ..i can't learn if I don't ask
I was just wondering this about a house i was thinking of buying.
It has a flat roof, and i was thinking about making a metal roof over the house.
I don't trust a roof that water can set on top, or snow.
If i made an A frame metal roof over the top of the flat roof, it would be double protected.
Was one problem i was thinking.
The power line comes in the house through a metal pole sticking up from the top of the roof.

Yes this was in the spring when we were building the cabin.
There is a conference homesteaders of america conference im thinking its in virginia google this and doug and stacy will b there in a couple of wks theyve been off grid for 8 yrs

U loose a lot of ur cell service under a metal roof and if screws arent ckd often will work their way out and cause leaks i know frm exp. Just keep a ck on it

ondulin is much faster to install
