I would've tabbed the rest but it was mostly improv and I'm too lazy.
Sorry the video's a bit long. I may have gotten carried away with the improvising. Also it cuts off at the end but considering it's already 6 minutes long, that's probably for the best. Hope you enjoy!!

I stumbled upon this cover unexpectedly and tears started rolling down my cheeks. It reminded me of a time when I was extremely lonely, which I connect to samurai champloo and by extension this song and nujabes. There's something about that time that makes it so hard to let go. My laptop wallpaper has been the same samurai champloo poster for years and the thought of changing it makes me feel like I'll have to let go of a part of me. It tells me how even after getting out of that phase and having so many amazing people in my life, something from then still persists deep inside me. Not in a sad way but in a very personal way. This song for me means the process of making peace with yourself. The sadness in this song which represents the unforgivable things you have done to yourself which blends in perfectly with the joy that the future beholds.

I'm still new to the whole recording thing so it'll be a learning process, but I'll do some experimenting and see what kinda sounds I can get. Just don't expect anything super professional sounding as it'll be through GarageBand. At any rate I'll keep you posted if I do end up making a higher quality version :)

In the video it's clearly Dm7 Em7 Am7.
Btw for reference, in the original song, it is
D#m7(A string 6 Fret)*Root note*
Fm7(A string 8 Fret) *root note*
A#m7(Low E string 6 fret) *root note*
The chords in the description are different because in the video I am playing in a lower tuning (I believe d standard). If you were to take those same chords and play them in standard tuning they would be em7 f#m7 and bm7, which is why I wrote it that way. Apologies if that was confusing, hope this clears it up a bit :)

@@prplehaze8442 ooooooooh, well to be honest I think it will be a little tricky. If you're starting out, maybe focus on playing just the chords/root notes in the background. Try playing them in time with the song and then maybe learn the melody and stuff afterwards because it will be a bit awkward on a bass

what gear do you use?
Just a standard blackstar amp and a ditto looper pedal for this one

I'm kidding. I used the looper to loop the chords in the background, I had the amp set to a clean channel (no distortion) and I turned up the built-in reverb to give it a little echo and make it sound louder. If your amp doesn't have a reverb setting that's ok it will still sound fine. Hope that helps :)
