Karate, they share similar "types" of kicks. The biggest difference between the two looking at the same type of "spinning back kick" to the liver/body differs a bit. Karate focuses on striking more w/ fluid momentum. Taekwondo imo results a little better delivering power and leverage from your feet being firmly planted before executing. The knee being above the hip before drilling the spin toward your opponent etc. small tweaks/ differences like that. Both need distance to accomplish optimally but some of the strongest kicks generated are incorporated into Kick Boxing, even some Western Muay Thai practitioners due to their lethality in combat sports for sure though.
