Getting 90's homesick, wish we could cruise back to these times... Please jam on this, for 30 minutes or so.

Yes the Beards Dobros are nice. That have a guitar model out now that isn't a
    Resonator.
Nice lesson here to learn alot of good things.

I love the sound too, it's the main reason why I'm considering to get a square necked dobro right now. ;)

I think I could play one of those. I can finger pick a guitar. I love that sound and you do a good job.

Thanks for the lessons Troy. You're a great straightforward & down-to-earth teacher. I've been learning a lot from you.
Are you using the same slide for the Dobro & lap steel?
Also, what brand & model of lap steel is on your Facebook page?
I have not been able to access your website.
I tried yesterday & just awhile ago but still can't access it.
Does the site take awhile to load?

@pldileo1 it's so that you can see which string he's playing - that's all.

@reckonimokie Beard Gold Tone dobros are pretty nice. Great set-ups here in the USA.

Whta's the use for the black cover underneath the strings ?

My guess is that it makes it easier to see which strings are getting plucked.

Gretsch Resonators are fantastic. Even the one that's $360 sounds like one that is 600 or 700 dollars

GBDGBD is actually High G tuning or Dobro G tuning. Open G is DGDGBD.

    • @clawhammer704
      @clawhammer704 5 років тому

He's playing a lap style square neck resonator so it's usually gbdgbd unless he says different...
