- Tesla reported first quarter results that missed analyst estimates on both the top and bottom lines. Adjusted earnings per share of $0.45 fell short of the $0.52 Wall Street was expecting. Revenue of $21.3 billion fell short of the estimated $22.3 billion. Operating income also missed, $1.17 billion versus the $1.53 billion estimate.
However, the company said it plans to accelerate the launch of new models, including a more affordable one

"There is nothing they have that Toyota does not have"...OK.
180,000,000,000$ in debt.? 😆
Giga-casting.....
Elon dreaming: optimus prime taking a cybertaxi in cybertron.
Never Trump Republicans are calling Trump
“The Shartful Codger” 😂
Quick... look at this shiny object robotaxi... forget about the cyber truck.
The meme Stock saga continues. Even with all the vaporware as the Bot and Robotaxi, as missing earnings, still goes up in value.
Going to be 120 in 2 weeks
Ya it's crazy . Negative earnings almost across the board , Elon's typical smoke and mirrors . The fanboys are the most gullible fools ever.
Data is Vaporware now lol ok
@@CorporateShill66Where will it be in the next 2-3 yrs when Optimus goes into full production, the semi ramps up and mega packs 10X where it is today???
it actually went down for weeks. price is baked in. we all knew revs would be down. Yahoo and short sighted analysts are just behind.
This is the most upbeat he’s been in a while. He keeps talking about how they need a low cost car. A Model 3 lease starts at $299/mo. That’s what I paid in 2012 for my Nissan Altima.
They also just released, which nobody has apparently noticed, a $45K Model 3 Performance that is faster than a McLaren, 0-60 in 2.9 seconds, and has backseat video and ambient lighting. $45K!
Battery storage?
Yep they have very high inventory in Los Angeles . I checked their website and I can dive a model 3 home today. Carmax locally has 255 used Tesla’s on local lots.
I thought it would go down, went up 11,000 in TSLA today. The Q1 call was handled very well.
As Thunderf00t pointed out: Tesla tends to take 6 years or so from the point where a product is presented to the point where they ship a mediocre first version that doesn't make good on any of the grandiose promises. They haven't shown anything of the low-cost version yet.
Toyota doesn't have EVs, Humanoid AI in development, Energy storage sector, Solar sector, AV, etc. vehicle insurance, service centers, battery assembly line, etc.
Apart from service centers, they do all of that. They have been talking about factories where you can refurbish and update your old vehicles, so those would be service centers of sorts.
Fud
6:20 dude did think India could make the Tesla dream in Shanghai real too...?! Back in 2019?! Was he joking?! The efficiency in China cannot be compared at all in the case of shanghai giga factory!! India could only be a worse location than Germany, while Germany has more qualified engineers and workers in the automobile industry.
India has a huge market, cheap labour force and increasing per capita income which is growing than other big economies.
Apple compensated the loss of Chinese market through capturing Indian market. Tesla is following the same course.
@@vimalswarnkar6681 I'm just citing "China's per capita PPP 19K USD and India per capita PPP is about 7K that is almost 3 times. There is a long way to go for India to bridge the gap, forget about outdoing." Stand 2023.
@@vimalswarnkar6681 India can barely build high-tech. Its night and day compared to China. Maybe in 15 years lol
money
Tough market is good for TSLA for the long term, it helps to remove the weeds. As I said before, TLSA is a “higher tech” than MSFT and AAPL because we all know that computer on wheels is higher tech than computer on your laps (MSFT) or on your palms (AAPL). TSLA will be bigger than MSFT OR AAPL within 5 to 7 years!!
EV success? The USA needs to build out the power plants, grid, and RELIABLE charge stations that work in the winter. Why buy an EV unless it’s a local commuting puddle jumper?
There is no way Tesla would make a profit from India. In your dreams. Indian consumers are very very smart
Those who have not understood that this Earning Report is an event of monumental importance, confirming the start of a new era in the automotive industry... and much beyond... has understood nothing! Is like a babe in the woods!
As Elon said, Tesla has put the word "auto" in automobile!
The king of Future Faking. The man who cried FSD.
Talk much? She can’t even make it through a sentence 😅
Elon EVENTUALLY delivers.
As for volumes being down, all auto sales are down post rate hikes, just part of the current landscape.
Can Yahoo get a better qualified analyst. Craig is one of the lowest ranked analysts on the ranking charts. At least you didn’t get Gordon Johnson who is ranked even lower in his ability! But really I’m not gonna even bother to watch this clip but yeah you guys are meant to be a serious business channel surely you can do better than this Yahoo!
😂
Creg 🤡👍
