Congratulations Chief and most of all, CONGRATULATIONS on spewing out the truck and putting this new Tiller into serving us in South Metro Fire Rescue !!!!!
I've gotta say with this rig being one of the closest to my home in the district and having seen it out on the roads already it really does seem to be a great rig for South Metro.
Awesome looking rig. I wish you got a separate rescue and truck though but if it works with squads then it will work with your tiller. Best of luck with the thing.
The old “Tower-34” a 2015 Pierce Velocity Midmount (the midmount seen in the video is a reserve unit) will be reassigned to STA35 as “Tower-35”, Tower-35’s current unit another 2015 Pierce Velocity midmount will be transferred to the reserve-fleet and that unit will replace a unit in that fleet (likely one of the 2006 Sutphen midmounts)
How will SMFR handle when LAD34 has to go OOS for PM or other reasons and a reserve piece needs to be used? I assume that TWR34 doesn't have the space needed to switch all the equipment over from L34.
Did tender 34 get sent to ever station 20 or station 43 by any chance cause I just watcha video from east valley fire buff and I don't see tender 34 at station 34
Tender-45 was reassigned to STA43 as Tender-43, and Tender-34 as reassigned to STA40 as Tender-40, the current Tender-40 became Tender-20 They decided to do this to free-up the Ladder-Companies from having to split their crews to staff and tenders, and more the tenders closer to aeras most likely to need them.
@ocscards9 As far as I know there is no plans to keep a Aerial as a training unit, when training Aerials are needed, they use a reserve unit and if no reserve unit is available they use a frontline one (which is scheduled to coincide with said frontline unit's training schedule) they could also use the diver training Tiller too (assuming qualified personnel are available to operate it)
Now you guys need to look at Ladder Tender for L34. A LT is a Engine that has A bunch of Tools that Has both Extrication, Heavy Rescue and Misc Resources that the Ladder has, without The Ladder on top so the Ladder doesn't have wear and tear. Its a Co Man Team. It's good for Medical, It's good for Hazmat, and it's good for Fire. Awesome Work guys!!! ❤
@Maizefire it's not a cross staff. Difference in co man and cross staffing is the co man Unit with the Engine that's considered a LT could be used on different incidents if there's a Ladder already on Scene.
SMFR doesn’t use green lights for their regular bars (Command only), you might have confused it with blue lights. SMFR utilizes Red and Blue Light Bars, which has been proven to be the best warning light option in most situations (Day and Night, fog, etc.)
Hello South Metro Fire Rescue Centennial, Colorado - is there any chance that you could please do a (Day In The Life)-with a Firefighter , Fire Apparatus. You haven’t been able to do a (Day In The Life)-And I would really appreciate it if you can in these upcoming UA-cam videos. Please let me know if you could do it please i would really appreciate it for me and for (South Metro Fire Rescue for doing it for me). Thanks
Congrats on the promotion Chief Pickford! Awesome Rig!
i was gunna say i remember him as cap
@@wyattbento9450yeah that’s what I was thinking lol

Congrats boys. Congrats Chief on the promotion
Awesome to see the new ladder actually in service. Would love to see it on a scene in future vlogs.
Congratulations Chief Pickford. I highly respect you beautiful truck
Congratulations Chief and most of all, CONGRATULATIONS on spewing out the truck and putting this new Tiller into serving us in South Metro Fire Rescue !!!!!
Specking out the truck
She is GORGEOUS! Love the idea of combining two rigs into one
Ladder truck, engine, and a rescue all in one. awesome
Congratulations on the promotion chief Pickford awesome rig
ohhhh the new tiller for SMFR ladder 34 is epic
be safe out there guys you all rock
I've gotta say with this rig being one of the closest to my home in the district and having seen it out on the roads already it really does seem to be a great rig for South Metro.
congrats on the promotion Chief Pickford
Saw Ladder 34 today heading down park meadows. It looks great!
That was pretty smart to do it that way saved you guys some money there
A day in the life of a tiller operator would be amazing 😍
Nice to see some of the equipment is also on the collapse rig now.
I feel as if they did a great job combining two companies into one and the way they plan to use it!
Great idea combining 2 rigs into one.
That’s huge for you guys, I think you and Greeley are the only tillers in the entire state.
Congrats on the new rig South Metro!!
Beautiful rig congrats Chief Pickford
Congratulations Chief Pickford on the promotion @SouthMetroFireRescuePIO can there be in the day in the life of him soon?
It's Tiller Time. Congrats on the New Ring SMFR. Gonna Miss Tower 34. I have a Soft Spot for Mid Mount Towers.
First tiller in service🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉Rig looks amazing
Awesome to see Chief Pickfords promotion! Congrats Chief!
Edit: just thought of this, what’s the plan when this rig is OOS?
They might use the training tiller, it is the only unit in their fleet with enough room to fit all their equipment
@@infanatorgaming6577 was thinking of that too, but I’m not sure it meets their department standards for a front line vehicle
@@infanatorgaming6577 maybe they will go over it in fleet friday
@henryjt2377 it's not gonna be a front-line unit remember that, they will keep it as a reserve unit for ladder 34 specifically
@@infanatorgaming6577 I get what you’re saying. I’m not sure it has the same space for equipment either
Awesome looking rig. I wish you got a separate rescue and truck though but if it works with squads then it will work with your tiller. Best of luck with the thing.
You guys should do a Day in the Life of a Tiller operator. Good looking rig by the way!!
really cool idea for a truck and saving money in a way as well.
What an awesome rig!
Love the paint scheme
Good for you guys
Congratulations expect me in the next few days to come check it out
Congratulations Chief Pickford.
Such a nice truck, congratss
tiller strong 💪
hate seeing old trucks go however
It replaced both Tower 34 and the Heavy Rescue. Nice, considering that if look at LAFD, all their Tillers are basic Ladder and Rescue trucks in one.
This is AWESOME!
Cool rig
So awesome!
Should call it TillerSquad
@SouthMetroFireRescuePIO Captain Pickford got battalion chief?
@@MadisonCountySheriffOffice yes Chief Pickford was promoted to Battalion Chief!
@@SouthMetroFireRescuePIO Congrats to him!

Since we have a tilller now can we get a Day in the life of ladder 34 Day in the life of a driver?
What will the empty stall be used for?
congrats guys well done
Awesome fire tiller ❤❤❤
I’ve been waiting for this for so long. Congrats for the promotion. I had a question though so this is a dry tiller?

Nice rig, what's the difference compared to a rescue compared to this larger truck for TOS ?
Can we see more PIO vlogs, calls & responses?
We will continue to do VLOG as time permits. We are busy producing content like this and other video’s
NEW LADDER!!!🎉🎉
Brett is a battalion chief! Wow time flies by so fast

@trucksortrainsnation yes, there is no longer a Tender at STA34, the new tender locations are STA20, STA39, STA40, STA41, STA43 & STA46
@Autofleet4429 oh ok but isn't 33 gonna need a bigger bay to hold 4 apparatuses in it

is the current tower 34 going to tower 35 and tower 35 to spare?
