    This channel puts to shame TV shows. I love the full follow through from 911 dispatch to the end of the call. Very nicely done!

      And there's no need for enhancements, like dramatic music or sound effects (dubbed in sirens, motor revving, etc.) The incident stands on it's own merits.

      @joey_morg 2 роки тому +5

      It's probably waaaaaaaay before your time but there was a show on once a week that you would've loved back in the early 90s hosted by William Shatner called "RESCUE 911" and was the best show on prime time tv and it took you for a ride starting from the 911 calls, EMS/FD responses, then the rescues and finishing off with all the outcomes right from the victims, their families, friends and interviews with them and the heros themselves

    This is really, really cool. Not only do I enjoy having such a close look at how our american brothers operate on scene, but I also feel like it is a brilliant way to do public education about both fire hazzards and the departement as a whole. And let's not forget, that this has _brilliant_ production quality, showing that the PIO team approaches their job within public safety with just as much training, experience and passion as all firefighters do. I wish more departements would have pros like you on public information duty, it's so important that we have the trust of the public when doing our job and we can only get that by relating to them what we do and how we do it.

    Giving the greatest of respect to ALL Fire and Rescue services around the world. They may all do things differently from each other but they all share a common goal of saving lives and saving property at a calculated risk to their own safety, often at a level of pay that doesn't reflect that risk. Yet they never complain. Regarding this video. One of the best I have seen of this type and I have seen hundreds, possibly thousands of this kind.

    This was another great video with excellent coverage of the town house fire which demonstrated how to respond and make quick work of this working fire. Fire was quickly brough under control and limited damages done. Good for the citizen that not only reported the fire outside the home, but also went another step in letting the owner know too. Quickly extinguished with follow-up investigation of the scene. Now this is the way to end this video with a multiple duckling rescue, and it makes sense why the fire department responds to these as well. The quality of these videos is always really stellar as well as the editing making them quite enjoyable and exciting to view. Thanks. Wow, that was a lot of FDNY patches, and that was only just a few of them. I wonder if anybody is missing their patch?

    Pretty much why you always have a few fire extinguishers near your grilling area, kitchen, firepit, and anywhere else where there will be a chance of a fire as the best way to stop a fire is before it spreads too much. Oh and regularly check your extinguishers to make sure they are not expired and are up to spec, and make sure you have the correct type of extinguishers in each area.

    Going a bit off topic here but As a former first responder for my mills industrial fire fighting service (made up of volunteers from the mill lead by what we call a protection officer) I know from first hand experience how chaotic calls can be and you are left trying to decide how best to utilize what you have at hand and make the best judgement call based on current information available. Also due to the nature of my industry when the city fire department shows up we lead Because we are the experts on scene and know what we are dealing with. Fortunately we handle most calls in house and rarely call the city but when it does happen it does get chaotic because we are industrial fire fighters while the city is general fire fighters and can lead to confusion which is why it’s important to have training sessions with multiple agencies so everyone gets on the same page. It can and has lead to interesting conversations between city battalion chief and our Protection officers on how to best proceed and who is the boss per se.

    It's good to see them go after it and get water on it ASAP, in many OTHER videos they pull in and mill around for what I think it far too long. Dozens of firefighter will be on the scene but no water on the fire, just a lot of standing around. I may be missing something that is going on, but if you watch OTHER videos you'll see it. I've been a FF for 30 years, I know what I see. Not bashing just observing...
