ACCURACY CHALLENGE! 🎯 | BrunsNick vs. Dasha Kovalova

- Can a lowly UA-camr beat a PWBA Major Champion in an accuracy challenge?
That's exactly what I have set out to do!
HERE ARE THE RULES:
Tape will be placed on a board at the arrows and another around the 40' mark down lane. Bowlers will take turns throwing shots. In order to get a point, the bowler must hit both marks AND strike. If both bowlers hit the marks and strike in the same round, the point is cancelled! After a point is earned, the loser of that round chooses the locations for the marks for the next round. First bowler to 5 points WINS!

This is a tough challenge, I like this type of video. A little more playful than usual, but we can still see the way that you all approach each shot.

Nick, when releasing the ball do you use "something" (finger, knuckle, thumb etc) as a guide to aim for your target?
Not really no, use mainly my eyes and get my body aligned to where I’m targeting.

I watch so many videos about targeting and nobody says where they are releasing the ball at foul line. I spend so much time trying to dial this in...I know there are variables but what's a good routine to get lined up?
I typically get lined up with the 2 target method, first set of dots about 8 feet away and another spot at arrows to get my launch angle right and then use my eyes to get my feet set.
@brunsnick thanks to you I just realized I drift left 5 boards. Game changer.
I lineup on 20 to start league but when i adjust i move my mark and lineup with my throwing shoulder. Is this wrong?
As long as its consistent how you line up every time I suppose!

So here is my math process: I pick my arrows(15), and break point(10), then I substract breakpoint number from arrow number (15-10), then when I get that’s number I divide it by 2 and round it up ( 5:2 = 2.5 = 3) then I add that number to arrows (15+3 =18) and then I add my personal number ( how many boards is my bowling ball from my ankle plus my drift) (7) to that number (7+18), and that’s how I get where I stand, or at least where I have to stand in the beginning, +- 2 boards for comfort, depending on a pattern and an angle.

I'm just starting to bowl in leagues again at the age of 67, after decades of recovering from back surgery, and I hadn't really kept up with watching professional bowling. It occurred to me that bowling is one sport where women could potentially compete head to head with men, but I wonder how their scores actually stack up from WPBA to the PBA? Obviously the men have an advantage of throwing heavier balls more easily, and probably faster, but surely accuracy and consistency is more important in bowling that speed and power?
You need to be accurate at high levels, but the men are very good at both imparting a lot of speed and rotation and hitting their targets.
Guaranteed I can take the ole timer at least 1/5 😅

I'm not sure, but here's some old-school calculations. If RH? Left foot on 18, aim 2nd arrow 10 times. Check your finished position. Your Checking for drift. Compensate left or right + or - until on target.
