i’m going to ask my bmw dealership in november when I take my mini in for its first oil change if I can get a lease buyout and maybe get into this. seems so much better. the back is more cramped but for a 5yr old it should be fine. i’m curious if I can get into this. seems more affordable then the 330i and better then any countryman.

Nice review. I drove a rental version and I liked the interior bells and whistles minus the driving assist which I turned off. I didn’t like the way it handled when pressing on the pedal. Quite a bit of lag. I drive a 2015 228i rwd base model with only 38.000 and love that car. Super speedy at the tap of the pedal. Just miss that feel with the new 2023. Like you mentioned, if I was in the market to buy it would be the M series.

Hope you respond bro! was looking to get a used 2020 model with 40 k miles what would be the average reliability with this model if you know. And great review man 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾

Try to get one that is one or two owners with maintenance history. Around 80k the cooling fans or sensors on it can start to go but this also happens with almost every vehicle nowadays. It’s a plastic fan 🤦‍♂️ If you keep up with the maintenance you shouldn’t have problems. When you get closer to 100k or over engine seals may starting going, my neighbor drove his to 165k and didn’t fix it because his was the rear main seal, part isn’t a lot but labor is. The B46 engine is solid and the only other issues I know about can be with the moon roof not opening or closing. Congratulations when you get it 🎉👍

I just hope they make these sedans with a decent amount of ground clearance! A major reason for the popularity of subcompact SUVs is not their 'practicality' but the adequate ground clearance + the relatively high seat position which allows easy all around visibility, especially at the front which makes the driver more confident. It also makes getting in and out of the vehicle much easier, especially for those with knee and/or hip problems. Modern sedans have atrociously low ground clearance in the name of 'sportiness', stiff suspensions and boy racer type low slung seats. The manufacturers seem to think that it's the young boy racers that buy their cars but they couldn't be further from the truth!! Those youngsters are almost always broke and they go for used vehicles. It's the middle aged and above lot that buy brand new and usually they want something practical and comfortable, definitely not a boy racer sh** box. So when the sedans cater to the young crowd, it's no surprise when the brand new vehicle buyers gravitate towards the SUVs which tick off their needs. And then the manufacturers and the youtube reviewers wonder why the sedans aren't selling. Today's sedans are longer and lower, a recipe for disaster... Apologies about the rant 😄.

Whichever vehicle you buy is your choice, I never say anything of why sedans don’t sell or why SUVs sell. I hope you enjoyed the review which gives information about this vehicle with some pros and cons adding comparable vehicles.

@@HawkeyeRides Love your channel and reviews, i know your reviews are bs free and unbiased, that's why i love them :p
My rant was about the other youtube review channels that always find reasons to talk ill about the SUVs for their lack of handling while ignoring all the positives while hyping up low slung sedans/hatchbacks/wagons while turning a blind eye to the obvious negatives that i mentioned in my rant.
Again, my rant was about other biased youtubers. Love your work, i visit your channel regularly, cheers!!
