STORYLINE:
Justin Timberlake pleaded guilty to a traffic offense Friday, resolving the criminal case from his June arrest in New York's Hamptons on a drunken driving charge.
The singer and actor arrived at Sag Harbor Village Court, where he entered a new plea.
Timberlake admitted guilt to a lesser offense of “driving while ability impaired,” which carries a $300 to $500 fine and a 90-day license suspension.
Details of the agreement were not disclosed, but a source with knowledge of the deal, speaking anonymously, confirmed the terms.
Timberlake had previously pleaded not guilty to a misdemeanor charge of driving while intoxicated, resulting in a license suspension from a hearing last month.
