    Veni vidi vici ^^
However, it is true that there is quite a learning curve until one can use a scythe efficiently, you are already a master...

You are right, Samuel, it's a journey. But it only takes a day course to learn the essentials, and then it's just a matter of practising. It's just more satisfying and pleasant than using powered machinery.

Great video, Thank you. I am really fascinated with this tool. But I could find one since I live in Asia. Is there any Online-Shop can I find one similar with yours?
    Thanks again.

Hi Yen-Ming Chen. Glad you like the video. Where are you in Asia? There is an online shop here in the UK, but I expect it will be cheaper for you to find a supplier closer to you. If you let me know what country you are in, I might be able to help. This is the Scythe Shop in the UK:www.thescytheshop.co.uk/

Hi again, Yen-Ming Chen. I know that scythes are used in Turkey, and in Australia, and I think those are the two countries that are closest to you in Taiwan. The equipment you see in the video is a snath (wooden handle) from Switzerland, and a blade made in Austria (Fux). Good blades are also made in Italy (Falci). This type of blade is low-carbon steel, and so it is sharpened by hammering the edge to make it thinner - this is a skill that really requires practise. There are UA-cam videos you can see about this - search for 'peening' . This shop in Australia sells the sort of scythe you can see in the video, but I don't know if they would export to Taiwan: hazelcombefarm.com.au/product-category/farming-and-gardening/scythes-and-accessories/ Good luck - I hope you introduce the scythe to Taiwan.
