Thank you so much for this, Sunny! Everything feels spot on, but especially the last two points really resonate with me. I have recently started to realize that, indeed, even if my mind wanders off into (fearful) thoughts for a while, there is always a moment of recognition that this is what is happening. For that to be possible at all, awareness has to be ‘present’ at some level, always and everywhere. It is also becoming clearer to me that it has very little to do with concentration, as I previously assumed. Being in the present moment does not require a lot of focussed energy. Now, even in moment when I am really tired and feeling too low in energy for most tasks, presence is still within my reach.
Thank you Sunny, I needed to hear that. Letting go of controlling conditions will help me tremendously.

The thing that resonated woth me the most was that with the last point, I've "logically" known and agreed with that wisdom, but right at the end of the video I was able to more clearly recognize the feeling of susteined awareness.
Previously its felt like frequent single or smaller instences that get strung together, but as soon as the video finished I noticed I was able to follow a string of awareness as a continuous thing.
I think the thing that might've flipped the switch for me to notice that was the tidbit about even in times of lacking awareness of awareness, there is still awareness, and then afterwards theres even awareness of lacking awareness of awareness (thats a goofy sentence lol).
As I'm finishing this comment, I think what just happened is I'm not having to try as hard to have awareness of awareness, which has so far required a lot of nuanced and discerning focus

Isn’t practicing being aware of being aware kinda taking you back out of the moment to use the egoic mind again?
Where do we go when are asleep? And how the awareness comes back when we wake up?
