You got a lot of balls to do Turtloid's stage with Infinity Mijinion's darkness effect instead of Shield Sheldon's attacking Virus effect. You've got my respect.
The key for this stage is to tackle it BEFORE stepping into either Sheldon and Mijinion's stages, so you have no hazards to deal with at all, since I'm sure you all know, once one of the two hazards a stage has is installed, you cannot remove both. Thus you have to choose the lesser of two evils from here on out. In Rainy Turtloid's, that would be Shield Sheldon's attacking Viruses. But why deal with either early on, when you can avoid both? Here's the key, Blizzard Wolfang is easy to kill without his weakness (Blaze Heatnix gear); but despite that, you are better off using Zero (who can't use Wolfang's tech on Turtloid thanks to the ceiling being too high) as his sword can destroy the gems on Turtloid's back much faster than X can, and then spam the improved Z Buster (when compared to X5) until Turtloid is no more! One last thing, Turtloid or Scaravich is the best alternative paths to fight the Zero Virus early on (in the case of the latter, you are probably going to have to play through that stage a couple of times until you get the "dinosaur" exhibit with the bottomless pits where the teleporter to the alt. is; for the former, take damage from an enemy, then quickly dash across the spikes before the temporary invincibility wears off).
picture seeing this mess at your studio and being like "yes, this is an acceptable product to ship out to customers". acid rain slowly killing you, shadows covering half the screen, pixel perfect spike traps, Alia beeping at you every three seconds, awkward enemy placement, a boss that will only face you over his shoulder, "yes, this is it. this is good enough, we don't need to push back the release date".
Hyoroga (Good luck using it, though) *Sorry to break it to you, but the ceiling is too high for Zero to cling to; and all because idiot Capcom didn't like the idea of X as the final boss of Mega Man Zero; which is how this rush job got greenlited. I would have told Keiji, "either you change the final boss, or you can look for a job at Electronic Arts or Acclaim!"*
There's one element this game is missing and that thing is called "Having Fun" i've been playing this on normal mode and it already feels like nightmare mode
The light effect & acid rain- wow. And female Reploids. That was one big turtle. Managed to read the dialogue without switching to .5 speed. 🙂Good vid.
Blame the idiots at Capcom for rushing this game out, let alone making the ceiling too high. Of course, with Zero's sword and VERY improved Z Buster (compared to X5), you wouldn't need Wolfang's tech anyway.
Surprised you didn't just take a hit then rush through the spikes when blinking. Can even get to Dr. Light if you take a hit from the bats, slide, get hit again and slide.
Late response but you didn't even need to get hit actually you can use the falcon armor dash but it has to work with the jump being very small. Like a quick light jump double air dash.
man this stage was designed by satan himself.. shadow assaulting u nonstop? not enough. ok, lets add auto kill if u fall? still not enough ok, lets also obscure player vision with rain? still not enough.. ok how about lets also completely turn screen black on top of the rain, auto death and getting assaulted shadow nonstop...? perfect
The only reason why this stage has darkness is because he went to Infinity Mijinion's stage before Turtloid's. If he went to Shield Sheldon before coming here, then it would be the viruses attacking instead of weaving through darkness.

In X6 onward, you can actually call Alia with the Select button. Also, the acid rain is Rainy Tutloid's stage gimmick, hence his name.
Eat snow cones, you pizza eating Maverick.

advise for people who want to play X6 don't go to the weapon center before coming to this stage
Or if you do, go to the Laser Institute before doing Inami.
There's one element this game is missing and that thing is called "Having Fun" i've been playing this on normal mode and it already feels like nightmare mode
Thanks to you

one advise for those who brought Zero in this map: just charge at Turtloid and get right in his face
Best stage in the game. 6.6
Agent Hugo 8 - Shredder
I can't see anything. It's too dark. Help! I need light.
Shield Sheldon: *Come to my place first. Oh yeah, have fun with the viruses I have installed in Turtloid's hideout!*
Why does the turtle look like Gamera?
What so funny about turtloid is...
I CAN'T USE HYOROGA AGAINTS HIM!!!💢💢💢

Whoever designing this stage can get a middle finger from 10 years old me 😅
I hate nightmare effect in this the stage.
What about the Viruses from Sheldon's stage that shows up here if you enter Sheldon's stage AFTER Mijinion?
Is there a Trick to find each reploid location on this stage?
No tricks to find ALL of them. Don't really need to anyway in my opinion.
