I had one back then as a kid. I used to remember some teachers actually told kids who wore these watches back in elementary to take them off during math tests and place it inside their bags - and then place their bags up front like the rest of us so they could get them afterwards when done. They'd also tell the other kids who wore the robot transforming watch to do the same for zero distractions. 🤣
When it comes to water resistance I can personally assess that like all Casio watches with a simple "WR" rating it is COMPLETELY WATERPROOF short of actually diving with it and I know people who have taken this watch and the legendary F-91W almost to a depth of 100 feet and experienced no issues all the time They were underwater and thrashing about. Casio ALWAYS highly undersells it's "WR" ratings, I've not once had any water-related issues with this watch or other Casios in My extensive collection unlike the alleged higher water resistance of most modern Timex watches that couldn't even survive a simple hand washing despite the advertised 50 meter water rating. Highly recommend this even for an outdoor watch or EDC carry option.
I thought I’d never wear it. But when I reviewed my wife’s for my channel and tried it on, I changed my mind. It’s really cool on the wrist. Water resistant and, well, just Casio cool! (The positive display one. Other colors are nice but illegible!)
I have showered with this was before and had no problems. And mind you I was in there for 30 or so minutes with hot water. I have also seen people stress test a Casio F-91w that survived up to 200m water resistance before the pressure broke it. Safe to say though it doesn’t list the water resistance you could probably swim with it and be fine
It can actually withstand any water activity down to almost 100 feet, I torture test all of the Casios in My immense collection and ALL OF THEM resistance water no mater what I have put them through. This watch EXCEEDED My personal expectations for hiking, survival scenarios and an EDC option in all weather types, I highly recommend.

Mam takiego CA53W. Dokupiłem mu dla towarzystwa F105W 😆 Jestem z nich dumny, podobnie jak z wielu innych modeli serii G-Shock jakie posiadam.
Dziękuje za komentarz! 😁
Your assumption is correct. WR stands for water resist, which means splash resistant, or 30 m. It can stand occasional splashes, rains, etc.
can i shower with it

Think it looks better with the orginal strap
Yeah, you are probably right. I have been thinking about putting oem strap back on. I was just experimenting with a strap I already had on hand
Perfect review.

What is the difference between framed WR logo at top right and unframed one?
Framed logo is the re--release of the original
