I just bought an Ibanez BTB 486 (that one with neck length 33"and the graphite bars reinforcement) anyway the Cort A6 is better. I think Cort instruments are better than Ibanez, more production accuracy.

About the tone, a good preamp :-D (here i used Harley Benton HB Bass Def Expander). The bass is a Cort A6, 2012, strings: 120-100-80-60-40-30. About the solo i dont know, maybe listen to a lot of music and overall 6strings bass players (j. Patitucci, Alain Caron), guitar players (G. Benson, P. Martino) and sax players (Steve Neff, Chad LB for teaching material) ... and study scales, arpeggios, pattern etc.

Grazie. The A6 is a basically bass, it's very simple to play. I love the passive sound mode with a external preamp.

No, no, it's the Cort A6 sound with a Sansone Strings (incredible strings!) and a little eq. with Audacity freeware software). Pu Bartolini MK-1

i usually play in passive mode. My Cort A6 bass is equipped with Bartolini Bk1... pretty good device but the "Custom" are better
