If you are using this camera, you can shoot fast moving subjects with flash on or with a tripod on multiple release. You may use any mode, that does not affect much.

Settings can be similar with the macro mode on. For small flowers, go close to the subjects at eye level. Even if you have to lie in the mud...

I don't think it is possible to click while you are recording a video. You have to be patient if you wanna click as well as record.

The camera doesn't have a microphone jacket. But you may consider it if it suits your budget.

Thank you Emily. You can't directly change the shutter speed. You have to adjust your ISO in order to influence your shutter speed.

No you cannot change shutter speed in this camera. For astrophotography, you can try Scene mode > Multiple Exp Lighten option.

That is possible if you set very high ISO. But high ISO may give you a lot of noise. Better concentrate on what the camera CAN do, versus cannot.

My advice is to work on what you have and master the camera settings as they are. If your photos are good, no one bothers much about the settings.

You can't control the shutter speed manually. Set your ISO to 125-400 and turn on the flash. The camera will auto adjust the settings.

Nikon B500 does not have a compatible remote accessory. You will have to use the Snapbridge App. Or else set the camera on self-timer.
