300sd Headlight upgrade

Upgrading the headlights on the w126 300sd Mercedes! You can use HID, LED projectors so easy!! In this video, I'll show you how to wire up blinkers and daytime running lights with some black housing headlights on a1985 Mercedes 300sd.

I bought the same lights you did but the wiring, I bought 18 gauge black primary wire, should that be fine to wire both the turn signal and DRL? Also for how it is on the passenger side with where the ground is located, is it the same location where the DRL and turn signal connections are?
Edit: 2 days later, did it myself and turned out just fine, didn’t need the crimp connectors at all apparently. But all in all great video 10/10 and yes they do fit the 300SD for those who’s wondering. (I mean literally the video is based around it).

I wired them in like you did but the driver side turn signal arrow stays solid orange. Does not flash like the passenger. Looks like there is 2 black and brown on that side. Should i wire the yellow to brown? I cannot figure out what is wrong.

I don't remember, its been a while since i made the video. If you wired it like the video, there could be an issue with the headlight. try it on the other side, and that will tell you if the problem is the headlight or wiring

This car did not come with an external glass lens besides the sealed beam 4x6. The Euro cars do have that though

These lights are absolutely hideous, but that's just my take on these. If you wanna keep the factory look, go with just the empty housing so you can add your own HIDs to them. Definitely a much cheaper solution.

Tell me your secret as to how the engine bay is oil free. My 300sd engine is like a tar baby

Secret: degreaser and pressure washer! Haha. Then you can find all the leaks easily that make the tar baby smile
