The title is easy and simple. I know some comments are 2 years ago but did you see the thrift store prices on the bowl. The price of a diamond saw cost 200 birdbaths like this. However if me you could put pump at back and behind all the bowls and tape or fix the tubing up and over to the top bowl. Or choose only plastic bowls but still she would also have to buy rubber sealant to put around the holes. I love it! It’s a stack and go project! Dont be so critical.
To make it an actual fountain you need to put the pump in the bottom bowl and run a small tube from that up to the top bowl. Then the water would cascade down. Pretty idea though, very inventive and practically for free. Good tip!
If you get a diamond hole saw from Lowes, you could put the pump in the bottom bowl at the back where it would be hidden. Clear tubing though each bowl/plate. Silicone the holes where the tubing touches the hole, so the bowl can't drain. This will cause each to overflow back down into the bottom bowl. Cascading bowls/plates! Have a stream of running water on the diamond holesaw as you drill, so the glass will stay cool and not crack.
I wrapped a flower vine around my black tubing to hide it. That made it more pleasant to the eyes. I don't know if that would work with your fountain or not. Either way I love the sound & all the glass beads. Very nice. Also nice way to use glassware laying around the house that's always in the way. I'm looking for a small indoor water fountain and I think this would be perfect. Thank you so much for sharing.
This makes perfect sence, ouside! Still water at the bottom, makes perfect BIRDBATH. At night you could float candles. Love it. There's a thousand ways to cover the pump, even the cord. I wrap stuff with MOSS, sprayed with "BASIL" by "The Masters", so it never turns brown. Great multipurpose, easily tweakable, & so sparkely... Thanx:)
i made mine a little differently but i love it and I don't have to worry about refilling the top bowl so much only run it when i want the soothing sound...wish i could find those kind of rocks
It's a pretty fountain. You'll have to fill it a lot less if you put the pump in the bottom though. Putting the pump in the bottom with tubing to the top allows the water to flow from the top back to the bottom where it can be pumped back to the top again, rather than simply pumping the water out of the bowl at the top for you to have to refill.
+ladyinnominate right, but....I've done fountains and garden ponds in my yard for years...and in order to do the bottom pump, which is correct, you'd need to have the holes drilled in the bowls for the tubing or pipe. But yes the pump in the bottom would be less work to keeping water around the pump.
ladyinnominate its fuking glass he or she cant drill a hole for a hose pipe but maybe if she used a different material then yes........and if she did drill a hole its would cut her......🤦♂️
the top bowl will empty and the bottom will over flow eventually didn't understand why you thought this was a good idea. it looks good for a while but have to keep filling top bowl
if you drill a hole in the two smaller bowls then you can put the fountain on the bottom and use a clear tube and have the water running through all the bowls, it's easier then you think i thought it was hard too
+Catherine Bruce Thank you. I got the pump from Ebay. But you may want to try Amazon too since they have 2 day shipping. Just search for "submersible water pump aquarium fish tank."
You did a great job and it looks really good all the beautiful colors, the only thing I don't care for is the pump, it should be hidden. It takes away from it. It looks refreshing you got the idea !!!!!
Love the "tinkling" noise. I think there are fountains that would have a tube to draw water up from the bottom bowl...not sure on this. As far as standing water on the bottom of this one...it will be overflowing at times the way you have it, so I wouldn't worry about mosquitoes. Even the water doesn't reroute, I may make one for on my deck because it's right there near a water spigot to refill easily. I just love the sound...that's what's missing on my deck along with a hint of light play of the moving waters.
+Catherine Bruce You're welcome :) I have to wait for Summer or until I can find bamboos in a store where I get them. But I'm looking forward to making more as well.
Most of the water stays in the top layer where the pump is; so as long as she keeps it topped up, she doesn't really need to drill holes. The bigger bowls just catch the splashes. I love the idea of using a glass casserole top! I put my lids on the counter like that all the time to keep water/food from getting on the counter. It gives it height. I want those glass rocks!!!
It's interesting how different the sound of the water is. Having it splash into the lower layers makes a varied sound, while the second one is more of a burbling brook type sound.
Pretty. But you should have brought a tube through the bottom of each dish and the pump connecting to the tube, and the Pump has to be in the bottom dish. This way you do not have to continue to add water as it would just recycle it from the bottom container 😊
What is making the chiming sound in the background. Is it the water hitting the stones and glass or are there wind chimes there? I like the sound and am hoping it is the water hitting the china glass and stones.
You should have added a tube and placed the pump on the bottom. So it would've been like a water fall type thing. In fact that is the point of having a three tier system like this lol
The idea is good but there is reason why you buy a pump for water fountain. It's definitely not for you to refill water lol the pump will do that for you put it in the bottom and attach a tube from the pump to the top
Pretty, but you're going to have to periodically clean all those glass pebbles. Good luck! Would be better without the pebbles and if the pump was hidden. The wind-chimes would drive me nuts.
Of course I keep an eye with the bottom bowl, changing the water. I do clean the bowl as well and rinsing the stones, before putting clean water. I should probably have added every bits of info there.
You are creating standing water in the bottom bowls because there is no continuous flow throughout, that encourages west Nile Mosquitos. I do like the glass stones though
The water has to pump the bottom water to the top & It flows down ♻️ etc. not from top to bottom. So there’s not point of the two bottom trays. Just use one bowl.
Iyana Johnson I got the pump from Ebay, usually cost between $4 - $5+. Few I got around $3+ from bidding. I'm most of the time, free shipping. And got the rest of the items from thrift stores and Dollar or 99Cents stores.
I think you are completely misunderstanding to term "water fountain" the water is ideally pumped from the lowest level to the top to create the waterfall effect. Have a look at KW remark and try again, nice comment Kev.

So pretty & simple! And I have plenty of glass containers to use to make this. Thanks!
the windchimes and rocks tinkling is total asmr! love it
I think this is wonderful and easy , some people are missing the whole idea of it being simple and easy without tools
To make it an actual fountain you need to put the pump in the bottom bowl and run a small tube from that up to the top bowl. Then the water would cascade down. Pretty idea though, very inventive and practically for free. Good tip!
I LOVE fountains like this
Simple, practical and easy setup. Thanks!
Very pretty and easy!!! .👍👍👍 Thank you for sharing! 🙌

Simple and Beautiful
beautiful, cheap, easy beginner project. Nice job.
I love. how you broke it up with a dark plate in the middle! Creative idea! I’m going to copy! .
Nice project under 5 minutes. Now I know what to do with the mismatched bowls from old dinner sets. A big thums up
Thanks so much. I had hoped that making a water feature would be as simple as this. I feel like I might can do it now. Thanks, again!
Pretty and simple, I like your production. I would put a connector tube from bottom bowl up to pump to allow all the water to be cycled.
Nossa! que delícia ouvir os sons desses barulhinhos das pedras, da água, do vento, etc! Com fone de ouvido! 🎧 Que paz que da! Amei! 😍🥰
Beautiful upcycling ideas. Thanks for sharing!
I love the colorful rocks
This makes perfect sence, ouside! Still water at the bottom, makes perfect BIRDBATH. At night you could float candles. Love it. There's a thousand ways to cover the pump, even the cord. Thank you so much for the inspiration! I have made my own and love it! 😀
Glad to hear that. You're welcome :)
i made mine a little differently but i love it and I don't have to worry about refilling the top bowl so much only run it when i want the soothing sound...wish i could find those kind of rocks
Try the Dollar Store or 99 Cents stores if you have those in your area. I got these from there :)

What pump should I buy
Im bob 15457
Diamond tip drill bit.
Rubber gaskets.
Small hose.
Gloves 🤦🏼♂️
Very pretty ❣
the top bowl will empty and the bottom will over flow eventually didn't understand why you thought this was a good idea. it looks good for a while but have to keep filling top bowl
Exactly what I was thinking. Water off watching time.

so cool! who says you need ebay when you can do it yourself! save loads of bucks!! so pretty!!
+scrappy Queen Thank you! ^_____^
very pretty
Looks awesome. Need some modifications to make it a practical outdoor water fountain. Thanks for sharing.
I love it......great teacher.......Thank you
You did well my friend, very good job I make a small pond for my self but I don't get the pump I will like to get one keep up your good job.
+Catherine Bruce Thank you. I got the pump from Ebay. But you may want to try Amazon too since they have 2 day shipping. Just search for "submersible water pump aquarium fish tank."
+Catherine Bruce Home Depot has pumps of all sizes for not alot of $$, easier than ordering from a site, you're paying shipping if you do that.
just loved it. .
Wow lovely
You did a great job and it looks really good all the beautiful colors, the only thing I don't care for is the pump, it should be hidden. It takes away from it. It looks refreshing you got the idea !!!!!
So pretty ideas :)

Love the color of z stones tnx
love it -clever
Thanks to you my friend I will try to order it for the coming year please send more videos..
+Catherine Bruce You're welcome :) I have to wait for Summer or until I can find bamboos in a store where I get them. But I'm looking forward to making more as well.
Really cute . I would add a couple goldfish to the bottom deeper container fr interest . 🐟🦈
It's a cute design
So satisfying sound
Bless! I can see you tried hard!
Loco Thenos

If you have a Dollar Store or 99 Cents stores in your area, you might want to visit them. :) I got these shiny rocks from them.
It's interesting how different the sound of the water is. Having it splash into the lower layers makes a varied sound, while the second one is more of a burbling brook type sound.
Very cute idea! Thank you for the inspiration. Sorry UA-cam has so many rude people who can't keep their mouths shut. They must not have happy lives.
Ohhhh my GOD this is SO NICEEEEEE....THANKS FOR SHARINGGGGGGG...THANKSSSSS
Overall great idea. Personally I'd work on hiding the bucket and the pump but the principle still applies.
Solar flowing fountain is the best In this situation!
ang ganda ate!
Salamat! :D
The pump should be in the bottom and a tube feeding through the top. This doesn't even make sense for a fountain
So true
right
only if you want to run it non stop who does that i love mine
It's very cute but you need a return water hose hooked to side of pump so that you don't have to keep refilling!
Josh Mason I know it crap
Very nice
Pretty. But you should have brought a tube through the bottom of each dish and the pump connecting to the tube, and the Pump has to be in the bottom dish. This way you do not have to continue to add water as it would just recycle it from the bottom container 😊
Good job. Everybody wants to be a rocket scientist. Don't worry about the negativity on here.
omg so good
I like this
what is the use of d other bowls then . ? try d pump at the bottom .
they are pretty to look out with the sparking water and the rocks
Nice for budget tfs
It's a nice first try. It's really not a fountain though, only a water bowl. Good luck with your next project.
Reading the comments.. .. i still think it's cute
Isn't the idea to have the water cascading over the top to the next bowl and from that bowl to the next and then back up the pump to the top?
cool rocks!!!!
شابة بزااااااااااااااااااااااااااف
What is making the chiming sound in the background. Is it the water hitting the stones and glass or are there wind chimes there? I like the sound and am hoping it is the water hitting the china glass and stones.
Beverly Echlin No it's not the water hitting the stone :/ It's the wind chime by the door. :)
You should have added a tube and placed the pump on the bottom. So it would've been like a water fall type thing. In fact that is the point of having a three tier system like this lol
you are right theKSProduction
I want to make my own fountain!!😊😊😊
It’s pretty though.
The idea is good but there is reason why you buy a pump for water fountain. It's definitely not for you to refill water lol the pump will do that for you put it in the bottom and attach a tube from the pump to the top
I like it
Within sometime water in above cup will alone work,if too sun water vapours and motor will die.
Pretty, but you're going to have to periodically clean all those glass pebbles. Good luck! Would be better without the pebbles and if the pump was hidden. The wind-chimes would drive me nuts.
The problem is the water has to return...or if the bowl is deep enough and the fountain does not splatter........
What pump? Any old pump?
Water pump keha mila ga
Are you not afraid of mosquitoes in the bottom bowl, as the water does not move much there?
Of course I keep an eye with the bottom bowl, changing the water. I do clean the bowl as well and rinsing the stones, before putting clean water. I should probably have added every bits of info there.
You are creating standing water in the bottom bowls because there is no continuous flow throughout, that encourages west Nile Mosquitos. I do like the glass stones though
Thanks, it is affordable and easy to make. I can do it myself. No handyman in my house, sorry.
Looks great till everything goes green.
Why see the pump? Hmmm.
Beautiful! can you tell me what size the water pump is? and is it a garden pump? thank you
+Debbie Schoffstall Hi. This is a small water pump which I got online (Ebay) 1.75" x 1.45" x 1.45" (L x W x H) and is an aquarium water pump.
Niceeeee goooooddddd
cool for how long did it work?
The water has to pump the bottom water to the top & It flows down ♻️ etc. not from top to bottom. So there’s not point of the two bottom trays. Just use one bowl.
On par with bloody wind chimes just what we want to hear!
Where did u get the pump from? How much was it?
Iyana Johnson I got the pump from Ebay, usually cost between $4 - $5+. Few I got around $3+ from bidding. I'm most of the time, free shipping. And got the rest of the items from thrift stores and Dollar or 99Cents stores.
Hehe so cool check out my younger year goes too!
You should have put a hool in the middle and get pipe for the pump put the pipe up the hool
Hole not hool
it would look amazing with fishies but thats alot more to maintain since they need alot more stuff x.x lol loved it tho
planting and caring for new guinea impatients
Eventually the water runs out and it doesn't replace itself. Neat idea though on short term
If the water runs out, it will damage the pump.

Very nice water feature with relaxing sounds of water. But a fountain, it's not.
nice :)
it OK
New subbie.
deve ficar lindo com bolinhas de gude
Adorei
Wow
