I thought he looked more like a chubby Mickey Dolenz. Which he did play the drums as a Monkee. But yeah, I guess the drummer does have that Elton John look as well.
This shows you how far ahead of the times The Beatles were in 1966. This song is a stretch to play live in 2021. Well done. Not easy. Thank you for reminding us how mind blowingly advanced the Beatles were.
There should be a drinking game where you take a shot each time there’s a new Lennon of the group. Holy shit he’s changed more times than Ringo and George combined.
im pretty sure i heard somewhere it changes depending on the area, but most of the time its the one in this video and his name is ron, he's the founder of the fab four
Ringo played that quick double tom beat with his left hand, never ceasing to hit the ride cymbal. It makes a world of difference to my ears. But I still love this awesome drummer for celebrating Ringo's exquisite musicianship. ☺️❤️
A great modern spin on it though the Beatles weren't interested in playing live by 66 there last tour was embarrassing in its short sightedness. As Mick Jagger said modern touring didn't begin till after The Beatles stopped playing live.
@@nickthomas181 Very true I found one story very interesting and it came from Vin Scully who told a story about the next to last concert in '66 for the Beatles at Dodger Stadium if you find it in a nutshell it tells how crazy that last tour really was for them
Why is this the only avante garde psychedelic track The Bestles did? I KNOW they had a hundred colourful moments after this, we can add Strawberry Fields and Northern Song ( i love it, don't care about criticisms ), Blue Jay Way and a ton of strange stuff, Long Long Long, Revolution 9, but they went nuts here. Sgt Pepper's closest would be Lucy In The Sky and Within You Without You. This song was just mental.
I mean, they may as well not make that much effort to look like the Beatles. But I have to say they did a decent job of trying to create the track live!
This is great but it’s just so not in your face enough which was the total point of this sound originally. This is the nice suburbia version as not to offend
I just heard Sean Lennon and Les Claypool play this song. Your version is better. If you ever need a drummer I know the Beatles catalog. Long Live the Fab Four!
never thought I’d see this song live… this is so surreal!
Never knew Elton John could play drums.
Hahaha!

LOL !!! 😆
😂😂
Jajaja☺👍

Well it wasn't made to be played live
Especially since it was NEVER MEANT to be played live!
The studio recording used cut up tape randomly stuck together and looped. George Martin had a big role to play in translating the Beatles' ideas.
It is not dying, it is not dying... one of my fave Beatles tunes. Revolver was a revolution.
well done...kudos to all and certainly the drummer for maintaining throughout...
This is very cool.

@Jon LaFontaine This is the band's founder and original Lennon, Ron McNeil.
im pretty sure i heard somewhere it changes depending on the area, but most of the time its the one in this video and his name is ron, he's the founder of the fab four
Impressive!
Fabulous my favourite song ever
Glad to know The Fab Four looks like they are still kicking ass

i imagine a beatles reunion and a free concert in a historical venue outdoors and opening the show with this tune and a laser show like no other
Or finishing the concert with it!
Unbelievable recreation.. AMAZING. Well done!
Absolutely LOVE the off-beat drumming in this track...
Noel Gallagher and Chemical Bros stole this track to make Let Forever Be
rather setting sun right
Setting Sun was the Tomorrow Never Knows “homage” rip off.
And "I Hope You'll Like It 040" too
Love these guys.
Excellent performance of a masterpiece.
The Beatles could never have done this in a '66 concert
A great modern spin on it though the Beatles weren't interested in playing live by 66 there last tour was embarrassing in its short sightedness. As Mick Jagger said modern touring didn't begin till after The Beatles stopped playing live.

Closest they could have managed was Ringo doing the drums which suspisciously sound like Ticket To Ride.
Great cover! Stunning!
NAILED IT!!!
I remember buying the LP. When I heard the last song on Side 2......dang.
Their whole crew rocks ! !
Awesome!!!
Aaaaaaawwwwsome

Maybe , as good as you are , you can only create one perfect song? ....Even if some of the others are 99.9999% perfect ?
I mean the most mental one would be I am The walrus. It makes absolutely no sense
They are bravo 👏 for having a go at that song though :)
Originally this is studio mix , great cover.

not trying to dress up in costumes to look like the band.... its all about the music not the clothes ..good cover.
Adam Hasting as John, more better

Ok
Not accurate enough, I need to have my ears shattered by hundreds of screaming girls to get the real experience
underrated comment
una verdadera burla mimética , como se dice...mediocridad pura...
Jajaja que traes we
Nothing special about this song
In what context? Your tiny little mind? OK back to your Taylor Swift. Imbecile.
You may not like it, but at the time it was.
It's fantastic. Other wordly.
@@kennet7837 Never mind in 66. It's still amazing.
It's the first ever drum and bass song 30 years before it became a style of music...
un grupo mediocre plagio total
