Mr. Daly: This presentation on Pleasure Beach is well done and especially well written. Many thanks. I grew up on the east side of Bridgeport in the 1960s and visited Pleasure Beach regularly. I have wonderful memories of those days, really, especially of the WICC-sponsored record hops in the ballroom on Friday nights n the summer, the roller coaster, the fun house, and the clacking of the wooden boards of the bridge when cars or buses drove over them .... Thanks again. Jim Hargett WHHS Class of 1964
Great video, my daughter has taken thousands of photos of this - she's numbered the cottages that were and is fascinated with its history - I just finished a book with Arcadia called "Roton Point" which was an amusement park in Norwalk, CT that closed in 1941. I am sad that now even the remnants of the Pleasure Beach that you show here is now gone, but I'm glad I joined her on one of the explorations there and took photos, too!

Larry, what year was this video done? Must have been before 2009 when the carousel was demolished.
That is so sad! :(
I think it was 2007.L
