@@cjc2611I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks that Nevermore is the most underrated band in the history of metal. Just 90K listeners on Spotify? Those songs were from another world... intricate yet beautiful... powerful lyrics... tight drums... I'm glad at least we have those albums to listen to, forever.
Nevermore was a huge level above everything...there were metal genres and then there was Nevermore....how do you classify this band? I just wished if Warrel didn't get so stuck in his lsd philosophies, this band would still be there....the best metal band ever...after Ozzy era black Sabbath of course...according to me the heaviest ever band has been Ozzy era black sabbath
I never understood the singer in nevermore... It sounded like a parody band or something. But the instrumentals were bloody incredible. I love Jeff loomis' solo albums
This is probably the best sounding 7 string demo I've heard from you. This whole Rig sounds massive! I love the soloist shape with the sandblasted ash top and white binding. Just one of the best looks on a guitar imo.
Jeff Loomis (in his Nevermore days) is one of my favorite and possibly my favorite guitarist. The riffs he wrote with Nevermore are just so damn good! I wish more people got into Nevermore. Such a great band! 🤘
They've delivered conceptually but practically their QA is absolutely in the gutter. The company isn't going to last if they can't get it straightened out.
@@spoonerluv Yeah ive heard that about Jackson recently, i have a Jackson HT7 7 string that's awesome right out of the box, but I've had that fiddle for a few years though.
@@spoonerluv I agree, and as a huge jackson fan, im sad. The only jackson I own right now actually happens to be a 2021, but its flawless. I've owned and played many jackson guitars from recent years that had no business leaving the factory. Their concepts and designs are great. you just need to be able to play one in person or you run a risk.
I'll always be equally excited and sad for all things Nevermore related. Best band that ever came across the surface of the earth. I miss them so much... R.I.P Warrel Dane!
Dude working at Fender, I think out of all the master builders, the Jackson guys make the best stuff, it's all good the Fender guys are sick to, but metal Joe and red Dave get down Joe's stuff is amazing, and he's gotta be one of the coolest dudes you can meet. Always the nicest and I constantly ask him dumb questions because I wanna learn, and dude is patient as a mofo with me, sick guitar!
According to the specs I found it is a 26.5" scale: "26.5” scale length, resonant basswood body with sandblasted ash top and through-body three-piece maple neck with graphite reinforcement for rock-solid stability and enhanced sustain. ... 12”-16” compound radius bound ebony fingerboard hosts 24 jumbo frets and pearloid sharkfin inlays."
Indeed, as for metal guitarists who want to hold a huge machine gun. Unfortunately, for home use it would be painful. I constantly touch something around with my DKA7 headstock. For this reason, thinking about headless.
Not being a metal head, I discovered Nevermore through Ola. And Bolt Thrower. The Loomis Blackouts sound nicer, with more oomph, more piercing highs. I have a bridge Blackout in a basswood body and I always found it a little bit too warm. Very powerful but I would have liked more grind in the high mids and spicier highs.
It's awesome seeing someone with the same love of Nevermore's riffs just absolutely shred them out one after another. Couldn't think of a better person to demo this guitar!
I just bought that guitar a couple weeks ago and love it. I've played allot of guitars and that Jackson gives me the same feel I had for my old Ibanez rg570 that I had, gigantic neck which is great for my big hands great sound. Ive only found two guitars now with that warm and fuzzy feeling. I was always bias towards Jackson, they did amazing with this series.
I been playing Jackson Guitars since 1988. This is probably one of the most beautiful looking guitar. Jeff Loomis is one hell of a player I see why enjoy this one along with the Kelly version. The tone is really narly and brutal. Ola expression is priceless.
'87 is when I bought my first Jackson. A silver metallic Dinky with a Floyd. It was right after the Dinky was introduced and they were super hot. And I still play Jackson guitars. The modern Jackson "speed neck" profile is so good. As a thin D shape I even prefer it over Ibby's Wizard profiles. I currently own 4 Jacksons. And will probably always own multiple Jacksons.
Man as soon as I heard Devil in White it brought me straight back to the first time I heard his Seymour Duncan Nazgul demo with Keith Merrow back in 2013. Great memories from 15 year old me. Thanks Ola.
I love Jackson guitars. I bought my first in 1987 and currently own 4. The Jackson "Speed neck" profile is pretty much my all time favorite. It's hard to imagine a better thin D profile. This new Loomis model is smexy AF. If it was available with a Hipshot fixed bridge I would have already bought one.
A stunning instrument... fits a stunning player (Loomis is not a beast... he's been there and is beyond). Many years ago I saw a video on youtube with these kids called Ola, Jeff and Keith... I was blown away and still am.
After years and years two Nevermore guitarist are endorsed by Jackson and they both have their own signature models....Back in the time when the Broderick signature was announced,I had a chance to demo it (the import model) and it was great! Unfortunetely I couldn’t sell my RG 1527 to afford it:( Now this one comes and I’m very exited about it!
This sounds so freaking good!!! The heavys 🤘 Man I miss Nevermore so bad. I know it wouldn't be the same cause nobody could replace Dane, but I do wish they would get back together and get a new singer. I'm a huge Jeff Loomis fan and I love that he's in Arch Enemy, but I do still wish that he would reform Nevermore as well cause that was HIS baby.
That headstock with the color shift - is that something you would ever consider on a Solar? I for one think it would look SICK!! Just one man's opinion! Chug on!
Sounds incredible awesome Ola, the active pickups combination with the Mesa boogie and Ibanez TS it’s such a strong and sturdy sounding, this video made me want to test a 7-string, I’m not used to, I’m the 6 string standar playing guy…
Deadly guitar. If there was a 6 string version I'd be seriously tempted to buy it. And honestly I think that amp sounds better not boosted. Some amps really don't benefit from it. Almost tightens it up too much, not enough chunk.
yup! a 6 string version of that Soloist is a dream of mine too! I've seen Jeff also use MJ Soloists with Arch Enemy so the probability is pretty high :)
I've been on the hunt for one in red with a hipshot. I've already got a few Floyd Rose Jacksons, so I don't "need" another. The only one I've found so far is shipping from Ukraine...yeahhhhh. It'd be a cool story if it made it intact. If not, maybe Jackson will put out a hardtail version of this puppy eventually.
I've noticed a trend where I never even test the neck pickup in my latest guitar demos... OH WELL!
what is It meant for the neck pickup?? 🤡😇😘
Never once have I needed to use a neck pickup ola you’re just testing the necessities
Wicked Ola!!
bridge pick-up all the way!
Funny how you're testing Jeff Loomis' new guitar and the first things you said is how much you love the amp!
Really miss Nevermore. Those riffs and the singing and whole band was just perfect.
I literally think about this everyday of my life.

Glad you like it!
One of the best Jackson 7 strings I have seen in a while
That is the god-tier rig for seven strings
His cannibal corpse 7 string video had a better tone imo
That guitar IS really nice. Wish it was a 6 string.

Check out his first solo album, that's sick too.
What I love about Ola's picking hand in this video is that its Kicking ar** but also giving everyone the finger!
This guitar is so clean looking. I'm not usually a fan of signature models just cause they always have some weird graphic or inlay. This I would buy.
Jackson really upped their game in recent years. This guitar looks sick AF and sounds brutal. Would be great in a hardtail version as well though.
I need the hard tail!!!

your new testing and guitar display room setup with the cabs look great

THE COMBINATION OF EVERYTHING IN THIS VIDEO IS ULTIMATE TONE
If I'm not mistaken his bridge Blackout is based on the Duncan distortion, so its basically an active version of the Seymour Duncan Distortion
What a beast of 7 string guitar look and sound amazing ! Jackson the best forever 🤘
Just very brutal tone ola I love it \m/
