    Awesome video, one of the best explained videos of a ferris mower with a vanguard engine. I would love to test run a ferris for a week just to try it out. I've been an exmark guy for 20 yrs lol. Thank you for the content.

    Traded my 2022 52 inch in for this years Ferris ISX 3300 72 INCH They truly know how to build them I reside in Knoxville with 7 acres and man does it cut smooth and fast no scalping what so ever oil change is fast and quick no mess to deal with which makes it so much fun to be honest and the seat is like riding in a big rig so comfortable .

    What do you use on the heim joints where the manual says to use petroleum chain lube? I thought about using Mystic JT-6 Multi-Purpose Grease. My nephew had a dirt late-model and we used it on the heim joints. Best stuff we ever found because everything else we tried the heim joints would squeak at the end of the race but not with that Mystic grease.

    does your deck chute stay up by itself? I mowed with mine a bit and it fell down and will not stay up by itself now. I also noticed on the chute side of the deck there is a square hole and a round hole close to the rod that holds the chute.

    What is the benefit of the isx 2200 over the 800? Looking at 2024 models, currently have a 2017 52” isx 700 with 500 hours and thinking about replacing with a 52” 2200 or an 52” 800

      The 2200 has the independent front suspension, comes with the adjustable suspension seat, available with the Vanguard Oil guard system , 28 hp, and has the 4400 hydros. Great machine, on my 3rd year with mine, absolutely love it.

    If you are mowing 500 hours in a year maybe you can get by with changing the oil after that long but it took me almost 20 years to get 600 hours on my mower so it definitely will not last that long - lol.

      I’ve had my 2200 for 3 years, never had to touch any suspension adjustments. Had to properly set up the deck height when I first got it,dealer either didn’t check it or had one of their 8.50$/hr techs screw it up. Never had to touch again. Great machines.

    • @brianw8963
      @brianw8963 Місяць тому

      A bit of smoke at start up is not really bad if it clears up quickly. Just from a little oil seeping past valve guides. Any oil that gets on the valve will be cleaned of with the incoming air/fuel mixture,these are not direct injection so that is not a problem.

    Why does the Ferris Rep not talk about how the Ferris 400 gets packed with mulch and jam my blades. I live in Ireland where it is wet but surely Ferris should be able to solve clumping .. All I hear is how great Ferris is but my testimony is that it is a heap of ….. Seriously…

      @@MurphyMower it’s a Ferris 400 S. Ferris brag in your video about the latest technology etc and yet they can’t still overcome the basic problem of why grass gets clogged under the deck and in my case the blades get jammed with mulch. I paid a lot of money for this mower and I expect better fromFerris.
      Thanks for replying to me but I hope Ferris will reply to me directly..I will soon post a video on u tube exposing this problem in the hope thatFerris will reply to me and the many thousands who have the same problem…Maybe it is only a share crash that will waken them up to this problem. A few intelligent engineers is all it will take to solve it.

      Don't mow when it's wet. No mower will not clump when grass is wet. Also, you have a fabricated deck that has edges on the underside where grass can build up quicker.

      Brother you bought the lowest grade mower they make, comparable to a home depot cub cadet, think about that before dogging the entire company, which makes the highest end mower lol. Besides, you don't mow when wet,
