Reunion with my Father after 19 Years

- Visiting my Dad's Family in Tokyo. It has been about 19 years since i've seen the Mine family. It was so nice to see them. Of course I was a little sad to see that they have gotten older... we all have. I just wanted to kick myself for allowing it to be that long. I hope you enjoy my reunion.

Your father is a handsome man and I love his studio where he works. Looking at the international place with so many different foods from around the world reminds me of a building in Seoul, South Korea where you have many restaurants there in the same building. Your uncle is very handsome also and you all must have enjoyed your time together and keep in touch. I enjoyed watching the video and seeing some places I had not seen before, and reminding me of beiing there in Japan.

Very touching vdo, Niki. God bless yr uncle for raising money to send you to Hawaii. He's a great man and an amazing guitarist. I watched some of his UA-cam vdos. Also, yr grandfather, Dick Mine, has a Wikipedia page, photos and film clips online. I looked him up after Shinichi talked about him in one of his livestreams, a famous crooner and film actor in his time. He was a handsome man. I like how you ended the vdo with old photos and music accompaniment. Very well done 💝 Also, God bless yr mom for her strength, courage, love and endurance as a traditional, single mom to raise two young kids into the beautiful adults you and Shinichi are today. Best wishes to you and yr family always.

Awesome video you made me sad when you left your dad home. Your uncle is very famous I have one of his DVD from 2009 i miss Japan so much I will be going back next spring. The under ground is my favorite I been to A couple private restaurants that was 3 stories below the street level just amazing.

thank you, thank you.... My parents got divorced and my mom could not go back to her father. he never approved her marriage to my father... So my mom did not have anywhere to go. So, my wonderful uncle stepped in.

I loved your family photos at the end. When you meet someone as an old person, its hard to see them any other way than at the present. But the photos remind us that we are all products of our past lives, the past that only those who lived it with us knows. Even then, my sister who is one year older has very different memories and impressions of the same events than I do. When my kids, who are 18 and 21 now, see pictures if me when I was their age (definitely slimmer! ) they can hardly believe it! 😀 Thanks for a great video with your family (I came to your channel from TabiEats) and that nostalgic outro!

When your mom moved to Hawaii, they were separated or divorced?
divorced.. coming to Hawaii was not her choice. She had no where to go. She could not go back home to her dad.. OLD SCHOOL STYLE
