- Teslas may be the “it” car for the tech forward and environmentally friendly, but they’re also the target of an outsized number of vandalism attacks. Thanks to the built-in security camera on the cars’ fenders, footage of people keying and scraping the vehicles is readily available. One guy even slammed a shopping cart into the electric vehicle. These acts of vandalism cost car owners thousands of dollars, but the cameras may help identify the perpetrators. #InsideEdition

It's not just Teslas. Teslas have cameras so that's why we see this so often. My non-Tesla car was keyed and the police pulled the guy over, threw him on the ground and handcuffed him, then "pressured" him into confessing. He was a doctor. He was angry because he didn't have a lot of room to open his car door, his own fault, but he took it out on me. He paid in full.

@@STeroidsnicca Yes, he made a big deal of it and also that he knew the mayor when being man-handled by the cops. They said then he should be ashamed of himself. Apparently, he was having a relationship crisis and was angry and depressed and lost his temper over not being able to get in his car so he took it out on me. He could have just got in the other side of his BMW. But he didn't apologize and even refused to pay for the damage so the cops said he was going to spend the weekend in jail (it was Friday afternoon) if I pressed charges. He wouldn't be able to post bail until Monday morning. They said since he confessed, he would be convicted and have it on his permanent record. So he agreed to pay finally.

I'm not a legal expert but this is only a misdemeanor. You wouldn't want to put people in prison for keying someone's property, that's disproportionally harsh.

And the old lady who destroyed the paint job on the one car probably works her age and gender at every possible advantage when life isn’t kind to her, all the while increasing our insurance premiums and victimizing people that didn’t do anything to her. This really stood out to me as an example of egregious behavior from someone who is supposed to be older and wiser to know better. Hope many people see this, including her family. If she’s got an issue with the car or owner, wait around for them and speak her issue face to face. Shame on her.
Sadism, frustration, and depression lead to these types of actions.
Think a varying mxiture of mean-ness (Sadism) and poverty might be involved in many of these cases. Which isn't to say every mean poor person would do this; very well could be the vast majority wouldn't because "they aren't that ...".

One lesson that people should always teach their kids is to never be hater. That type of behavior will get you nowhere in life and is not going to make your life feel/better at all.

What I see is people aren't grateful enough with what they have. I used to feel envy and regret about my life and it doesn't get me anywhere in life. Now I'm trying to be more religious to fill up my spiritual need, try to donate my spare change every week, do good deeds to other etc. Now i feel less depressed about my living situation and be grateful that i can eat 3-4 times a day even if i'm still living with my parents

It's pure jealousy. A man I used to work with had a 69' Corvette Stingray that was very well kept. A gift from his late father when he was a teenager. Still had the original paint job and all. He brought it to work every so often on nice days until one day he left work and found the whole drivers side horribly keyed.
