This is the type of metalcore you should have been introduced to instead of the acaica strain 😂 A Day to Remember is a mix of post hardcore, pop punk and metalcore and they are 100% fabulous 🤘

@@davebcf1231 hate to break it to you, while you may not personally call them metalcore they are truly classified as a mix of post hardcore, metalcore and pop punk.
@@gavinsmommy101910 Cool story. No amount of kids who think it's trendy to like metal all of a sudden calling a pop-punk band metal will ever make it so, though. I guess you must think Blink-182 is a hardcore band too.
@@davebcf1231 First, I'm not a kid, I'm 33 with a 9 year old kid. Secondly, I didn't classify them, that would be the people whose job is to classify bands. On their own they are not metalcore, they are an amalgamation of metalcore, post hardcore and pop punk. In case you, in your arrogance don't understand what that means, it means they are the result of combining elements from each of those genres.
You need to work on that metal elitist attitude though, rock/metal should be open to all, even those "kids" you seem to dislike so much. I love seeing them at shows, they're the next generation that will carry a love of rock.

Daphne D. I hope your introduction to them went well. As a person who was listening to them for almost 13 years now - they influenced me a lot and part of the reason I am a person that I am today is cause them. U have so much stuff to listen to.

You were kinda on point with the pop thing. They are pop-punk mixed with hardcore influences, so more or less hit the nail on the head.

This band literally created its own sub genre , they were really the first extremely successful fusion of this sound you hear 👂 this is an extremely “polished” song compared to what they had before this new wave of music 🎵
The band said they wanted to be in a band that makes songs that are super heavy and songs that could be seen as really good “pop” songs.

If you love drums look into avenged sevenfold. Almost easy is really good but as long as its pre 2009 (Thats when the drummer passed away)

@@oggie6907 What? Mike Portnoy isn't their drummer. Only worked on Nightmare with them. Brooks Wackerman is their drummer and has been for a few years now. He's an amazing drummer as well.

This guy so much more open to this kind of music than my friends. Couple suggestions Ghost Love score by Nightwish (wacken fest 2013 has the clearest audio) and gone sovereign/ absolute zero by Stone Sour ( 7 minute version)

The drummer Alex Shelnut is a master at popping the rim of his snare with sides of the sticks to get that punch. Its double kick 100%
They use to scream more, but you can only keep that up for so long. They also mix the between the two in all of their albums. They are my favorite band.
Anything off Homesick by ADTR. It isn’t just their best album, but a definitive album for a generation, one which best encapsulates a point in time of music.

New to your channel but I’m sure you already know by now this is brand new a day to remember, the further you go back into their discography of music the more heavy rock sounding they get great band new music for a new generation trying to adapt to it 🤷♂️

If I may put it out there this is a rough time financially for a lot of people, especially small business owners like myself who have had to shut down. So it kind of suck when you’ve had a request in for a month and keep getting jumped over because I can’t afford to buy anything. I understand why you do it, it just sucks.
