Norwegian born Angelina Jordan began singing at the age of one and a half, and by age three was listening to jazz and classics legends on repeat. Her grandmother was her greatest influence, but Angelina chose her own path. Her first studio performance was at age 7, singing I Who Have Nothing. She won Norway's Got Talent at the age of only 8, singing old time classics from Billie Holliday and George Gershwin, and became one of the youngest ever vocalists to win an international Got Talent Show! Her performance at 9 years old of Screamin Jay Hawkins, I Put a Spell on You is considered one of the finest recordings ever of a 9-year-old vocalist! Angelina also went viral on America's Got Talent the champions in 2020 with her unique versions of Bohemian Rhapsody and Goodbye Yellow Brick Road. Angelina sings in English which unbelievably is her third language! She is a true prodigy.
She is now 18, and has recorded a huge library of songs, including covers and several originals. A major attraction to Angelina's music is the emotion and attitude she conveys, although she has not experienced the life events! She is known as the barefoot princess of 1,000 voices as she can adjust her tone, style, and register for any song or genre. She was signed by Republic Records when she was 14. She was not widely promoted for a few years, as her family wanted to allow her a normal childhood. However, things are changing rapidly as she has now graduated school. She has released two original music video singles from Republic Records, Love Don't Let Me Go, and Now I'm the Fool, coinciding with her new six song EP called Old Enough. The four other songs have been released as visualizers. A world tour is in the works, likely to coincide with her full album release.

Why does Angelina sing barefoot? The answer may bring a tear to your eye. It is related to a promise she made to herself and to the world when she was only 6 years old. She was traveling in the Middle East with her mom and grandmother and they came across a young orphan girl with no shoes and scarred feet. Angelina gave the girl her own favorite shoes. Angelina ask the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and she said a doctor, but she could not because she had to take care of her siblings. She asked Angelina the same question and Angelina said I want to sing for the world. The young girl said she would pray for Angelina. Since then, Angelia has forever performed barefoot as a reminder of all those less fortunate. At age 9 she wrote a book about this experience, Between two Hearts, becoming the youngest ever published author in Norway. She also has helped raise millions for children's charities. She even stated at 8 years old that she would be donating her winnings from Norway's Got Talent to charities. She is a special individual, and one you cannot follow without developing an emotional bond.

The Norwegian singer, now living in LA, is already an artist for the big occasions with e.g. The new FIFA World Cup's official anthem, in addition to several major performances. Like few artists, she has performed for the Nobel Peace Prize at the age of 8 and 17. And 2 shows in Las Vegas ... She is 18 today. 250 songs both covers and original to listen to! She has had many live performances. She was signed to Republic Records at age 14!

Oh boy, you are going to be bombarded by her fans called Angels that will fill you in on this music prodigy with an old soul from Norway. She's basically been a star since she was 7 years old. First and foremost, she is a jazz singer but has the ability to sing any genre. She also does all of her own musical arrangements. Even though she has been compared by many to Amy Winehouse, her major influence is Billie Holiday. Other influences are Dinah Washington, Louis Armstrong, Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, Etta James,Whitney Houston, and Adele to name a few. Her love of jazz came from her grandmother playing jazz music around her when she was young. In 2014, she entered at age 7 and won Norway's Got Talent at the age of 8. With her new found fame, she used it to appear on many shows from abroad and help raise millions for the less fortunate children around the world. At age 13, she was invited to participate on America's Got Talent: The Champions in 2020. She shocked the audience and the judges with her rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen. She received a standing ovation from all and got the Golden Buzzer from judge Heidi Klum to go straight to the Finals. Her performance went viral and even the group Queen responded on Twitter by saying, "Wow, what a rendition!" For Queen to respond to someone covering one of their songs is quite a feat since they rarely react to anyone. She did not win, but her fan base grew and expanded her popularity.
Now 18 years old, living in Los Angeles, and currently signed with Republic Records, whose clients include Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, The Weeknd, and Drake to name a few. From what we know, she is finally done with school. Angelina released her new single, Our Time, and is fantastic! She returned back to Norway and performed at a number of sold out concerts in which fans from around the world came to see her. Many of the fans there said she sounded better live in person and was a once in a lifetime experience. On September 22, 2023, Angelina had her first U.S. concert that sold out in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. On December 11, 2023, she was asked to come back and perform at the Nobel Peace Prize Concert. She first performed at this prestigious event in 2014 when she was 8. On Feb.29th, 2024, she performed 2 shows on one night at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort and Casino. A film crew followed her and created a documentary of her called Angelina Jordan: 10 Years In The Making which premiered on her official UA-cam channel on March 29th, 2024.
Her fans call her The Barefoot Princess. She always performs with no shoes when she sings. Why? The reason is very special. When she was 6 years old, she was traveling with her family in Iran where she met a poor shoeless girl in the streets that was about her age. She made money by weighing people. After speaking with her for a few minutes, Angelina noticed the scars on the girl's feet and asked the girl what her dream is. The girl said she wanted to be a doctor but she couldn't because she had to make money for her family. Angelina did what came natural to her, she gave the little girl her shoes and told her to not give up on her dreams. The girl then asked Angelina what her dreams were, Angelina answered that she wanted to sing for the whole world, and the girl said she would pray for her success. Since then, Angelina has performed barefoot in honor of that little girl and to those who are less fortunate around the world. She keeps this promise to this day. Known as the barefoot princess, the girl with a thousand voices , an old soul, an elite story teller, jazz foundations but multiple styles and genre's , to define her is pretty impossible every time you think you know what can do she will surprise you. Angelina is 18 today, she has done a lot of covers on her channel, and released an original EP last year. She got her love for the classic music she performs from her grandmother, Meri. She is from Norway, competed on Norway's Got Talent at age 7, won at age 8.
So you want more from her. Go back in time first and check out her cover of "I Put A Spell On You" at age 9. Also at this AGT Champions, the cover of Elton's "Yellow Brick Road". She's been singing publicly since she was 7 and she entered Norway's Got Talent at 7 years old and she won the Show. She's now 18 (Jan 10th, 2024) so if you want to, you have 11 years of 'astonishing' music to listen to. You got a feel for her soulfulness here and that jazzy sound combined with soulfulness makes for a voice so unique no one can compare to her. There's so much for you to learn about her but I'll let Angelina 'take it from here'. Angelina created arrangements for each 'cover' she performed, making each song her own. Angelina has told us she has written more than 100 songs by her 18th birthday and we have been blessed by 13 to date. Here is the list.

Angelina wrote new lyrics for two famous songs by Amy Winehouse, "Back to Black" and "Rehab" since it was inappropriate for a preteen to sing the original lyrics. For "Back to Black" Angelina wrote the new lyrics in the 24 hours prior to the recording, then needed just two takes.

One thing you must know about Angelina. Sure Dimash is Dimash but also he is almost 30 so we cant really go there. Diana has some cool vocal tricks but it is not everyone tea either. With Angelina you must know that she doesnt sing to you, but they say she sings for you, not just that its deeper Angelina sing into your soul, your very being. You feel her words down into the core of yourself.
If you're not a crier, she will make you well up.

She is known as the "Girl with 1000 Voices" & Amy Winehouse is one of those voices. Just think she starts out a cappella and slides in at perfect pitch, just an amazing young lady! Would highly recommend going back to her Norway’s Got Talent all four songs, closed captions on! Just a recommendation when doing Angelina’s videos it helps to get context of what’s happening to play the whole video! So much of the story can be missed. However, it’s your channel do what you’re comfortable with!

It's always good to step outside of ones comfort zone. I like all kinds of music tbh. But as a guitarist and metalhead, my preference is naturally on the heavier side of the spectrum! But we all need some respite, and AJ fits that requirement for me 😁

She also performed at the Westgate theater in Las Vegas on 29th Feb 2024, same place Elvis had his residency she is 18 years old. You took the words right out of my heart. There are many amazingly talented people and we love them. Angelina though had the soul of the past and hypnotic warm soothing voice, combined with the musical mastery and god give physical abilities all driven by her tireless working her obsession for singing. Excellent 1st reaction to Angelina! I have been following her for a little over 10 years now, and still, after your first time hearing her, you reflect my thoughts and feelings to a tee. What you said about Diana and Dimash too. I DO actually listen to Diana from time to time, and I actually appreciate her quite a bit, but I have yet to listen to Dimash outside of reactions to him. But do I think that technically speaking he is the best on the planet ?? Absolutely no question about it in my mind. But he doesn't TOUCH me. Neither does Diana, but I like what she does. Absolute truth be told, only Angelina can reach me the way she does. But don't ask me EXACTLY why that is, except for the reasons you mention yourself. But I know for a fact that there is another factor at play as well, but I just can't for the life of me define it or put my finger on it. It would be completely impossible for me to convey to another person exactly what I feel. It's a mix of SO incredibly many emotions; it's a crazy mix. I just hope you'll stay with her long enough to understand more of where I come from. And the rest of her fans as well. And I know that all of us will say pretty much exactly what I just said. AJ sings to share her interpretation of a song with you, not to show off her voice. Below are links to some AJ videos age 6 to 17; she just turned 18 this past January 10th. Looking forward to more of your AJ reviews.
Her singing career began in the studio at age 6. She auditioned for Norways Got Talent at age 7, winning the competition after turning 8. At age 13, she was a golden buzzer finalist on AGT Champions and was signed to Republic Records at age 14.
She does all the vocal arrangements herself, even when she was a little kid. The musicians she has worked with over the years have always called her the boss. By age 6 she spoke Norwegian, Farsi, (her grandmother's Persian), and English. She plays piano, guitar, flute and violin. She has done over 200 covers and many originals, couple of EPs, latest EP Old Enough is all original songs.
Her parents have held the music industry at bay for years ensuring that she has a childhood and finishes school first. Part of the Republic Records deal reportedly being that they're not allowed to promote her like their other new artists, I think, until she's 18. Or until she gets out of school, which could mean high-school or college.
I think I read that she's enrolling in an arts school after high school. She did two shows at Westgate Las Vegas this past February 29th, with lots of fan recorded videos out there, unfortunately not always the best quality.
Age 6: Her grandmother who first exposed her to jazz booked studio time for her or this is part of an after school program. I've heard both stories. She recorded 3 songs. You may think this an exaggeration but listen to a few more of her many performances (170+ covers plus original songs - all on YT) and you will see! She has been performing at a high level all over the world since age 8 when she won Norway's Got Talent singing Billie Holiday, Nancy Sinatra, and Gershwin. It is the rare singer that can, as Angelina has done, go from Queen to "Screamin" Jay Hawkins to Adele to Elvis to Whitney Houston to Michael Jackson to Etta James to James Brown to Amy Winehouse to the Beatles (and many others in between) and do them all justice!
If you want to hear music, listen to anyone. If you want to feel music, listen to Angelina. She will stagger you with her ability to find and bring forth the 'essence', the emotional message of nearly any song. You have far to go with Angelina. I found Angelina 6 1/2 years ago and never looked back. Shes a miracle and she made me a better person. The first time I cried since 1996 is when Angelina walked out on stage in New Hampshire back in September. It just came out and I couldnt stop. Please keep going with her.
