mike just got home from 8 days in hospital with double pneumonia and severe sepsis nearly died...watching this video lifted my spirits greatly and hopefully i will be riding too in a few weeks .......take care
Imagine if it was 5 two strokes pulling up. It would be ting ting ting and you wouldn't be able to see them because of the cloud of smoke..."nothing like the smell of 2/ in the morning" (Darryl Kerrigan).
@@ruahinesrider if there was a deep blue or squadron blue I would have been seriously conflicted. Nice orange ducati tho. Never owned a Norton RR not wealthy enough or good enough mechanic haha. Triumphs forever RR.
Hey Mike. What a great collection of beautiful classic bikes. There’s nothing like the Norton exhaust note. Wonderful gathering. Thanks for taking us along. Cheers, Dan ✌️🏍🇨🇦
The roll out and insertion to the parking lot, like a squadron of ww2 bombers. So absolutely excellent. Norton, Commando. Loved the Guzzi's, Beemer and Duke too!
Hi Mike, GREAT entrance to the event! I'm posting late due to being way out of town (Alaska cruise) last week. Your riding buddy (that you haven't ridden with) from Indiana, George ✌️
Hi George! I hope all is well. Glad you enjoyed this video. Hope you had a terrific time up in Alaska. That sounds fantastic! Hope you all enjoy the upcoming videos of the rally up in Winthrop, Washington state. Best wishes, Mike.
Fantastic to see so many Nortons turn out, Mike. The silver RD400 first shown at 14:42 and the red, white and blue Kenny Roberts RZ350 at 17:26 and :54 get a honorable mention in my book. Great video, thanks for posting.
I’m thinking that orange Norton is your favorite. What a great showing of bikes. That Honda CB750 is beautiful. The bike that was part of the Japanese invasion that killed the British motorcycle industry. Glad that Triumph came back and at least the rebirth of the name brands of Norton, Royal Enfield, and now BSA. Thanks for sharing these videos. Very inspiring… Cheers!
Another inspirational video Mike! Putting on my boots, enjoying a cup of coffee and watching the Mighty Garage is my Sunday morning ritual. But, this one….Wow!!! Great turn out Mike! Stay safe and be well! Steve North Carolina, USA
What a great turn out Mike, the silver Atlas still catches my eye every time it's on the road. An awesome gathering of like minded folk. Thanks as always for sharing .. 👍 ... 😉atvb t .. 🏍
Hey, Mike, you are right: awesome….. so many Nortons…. And I like the white Guzzi and the triumph with the plated trackmaster frame… greetings from northern Germany Manfred
What a great collection of nortons and not one of them smoked from one exhaust like my. 72-750. I found out years later they did a fix on the head gasket I think that was a known issue. I still wish I had it every day . Good job guys.
Mike, your bronze Commando is hard to beat ! But as usual I was on BMW watch and particularly enjoyed the selection from @16.40 including the 75/5 Toaster, TT Silver Smoke 90S and Daytona Orange 100S. Also the gorgeous A10 that appeared just before the Beemers and the silver/grey RD400. And it’s always nice to see a X75 Hurricane 🇬🇧
Great selection of bikes Mike, having owned a 650ss I was looking for one of those - closest to it was the Atlas (majestic eh?). Thanks from Cambridge UK🇬🇧
I have had an Atlas before, so for your question: I choose which ever that has the best electricals, if this is proper to say for an old English bike!!!! Both colors look incredible on both! Just give me the more reliable of both Ha Ha ha
24:49 (15:35 02/07/23 Adelaide time) Nice to hear all those nicely tuned Norton’s. I am wondering what tyres the Norton riders of your club prefer and why? I am using the original rims with tube and Dunlop TT100, just ordered a new rear. Is there an advantage in using a modern tyre? I don’t need anything stickier but a bit more long wearing would be good. For now I’m using the Dunlop.
Hi Mike , we here in Malaysia , when ask to make a choice among a bunch of equally good bikes, usually someone from our group of old motorcycle nuts will say only kids will want to choose .🤣
Fabulous video mate. Some beautiful bikes and not just the Nortons, I especially liked the X75 and the humungous rumble from its pipes. Seems like a really friendly scene you have going on there. Reminds me very much of Rivi Barn on a Sunday. You ever go there when you were in the old country? Keep em comin mate. Thanks for doing and posting.
I heard it on the film, knew straight away it was a BSA rocket 3 or Triumph trident T150 or T160 engine. I was surprised it was a X75 hurricane as theyre so rare.
Nortons don't take kindly to being 'pussyfooted around' but shouldn't soot up the plugs, they do need the heat of efficient fuel combustion to clean off carbon deposits. Are they digestive biscuit colour when returning from a more spirited ride? Black one: "I thought l recognised that (squeeky brake)" 😁 A comparison from the enlightened Triumph owner to camera could have made good viewing.
Ah, Mike. One day I'll have to confess to what i did to my 64 Atlas. Only owned it for about 18 months in 71-72. Idk if i should though, ya'll will want to tar n feather ( or castrate? Yikes) me. Oh the silly things we do in our youth ( 17 y/o at time of possession )...😢😅😊❤
mike just got home from 8 days in hospital with double pneumonia and severe sepsis nearly died...watching this video lifted my spirits greatly and hopefully i will be riding too in a few weeks .......take care
yes riding is my theraphy too
How can we not comment when so many wonderful Nortons are turning out to this event. Fantastic video.
Many thanks! Lots of those bikes in the video are on the road because of you and the team at Andover Norton! Many thanks, Mike
Nothing beats a group of mates out on there bikes, making noise, classic bikes making Music to us 🤘🤘🤘🤘
Magnificent hearing the 5 Norton's pulling up.

@@daintree2455 Ting ting ting smell of 2stroke oil & don't forget aluminum.
Amazing that you get more Commandos at your gatherings than occured back in the day when thay were new.
Warms my heart.
CD on Hillsboro NH 💚✌️
Many thanks John. I’m hoping that we will get a lot more next year as this becomes an annual event on our club calendar. Cheers, Mike.
How fantastic does that Hurricane sound?
A black Commando is a beautiful thing.
I am amazed that all those Nortons started on the first kick... special effects? My God, they sound beautiful!!!
a great collection of bikes ,marvellous,
What a joyful sight. It take dme back to my 1972 Commando Fastback in black, in the 1990s. (Must we grow old?)
What a superb line up of bikes.
Orange one every day, Norton or that nice orange Ducati. Thanks Mike.
Trust Dain 🌲 Tree to choose the Orange one.
Was it you who had a Norton & sold it & guy & HE hit gravel & truck coming the other way run it over but he was ok?
I saw orange 🍊 Ducati.
@@ruahinesrider if there was a deep blue or squadron blue I would have been seriously conflicted. Nice orange ducati tho. Never owned a Norton RR not wealthy enough or good enough mechanic haha. Triumphs forever RR.
The most beautiful parallel twins in history and the sound of the mk2. Fabulous.

Once again thanks for your unhurried filming. Your enthusiasm comes across in your channel. Ronn
Many thanks, Ron. It’s a great pleasure to ride these old bikes and be part of this old vintage motorcycle scene. Best wishes, Mike.
The roll out and insertion to the parking lot, like a squadron of ww2 bombers. So absolutely excellent. Norton, Commando. Loved the Guzzi's, Beemer and Duke too!
Great show Mike! All those juicy Nortons to salivate over! Love the red Atlas! 😁😁

The Nortons are not 2 stroke
The black commando @24:54 sounded well-sorted . Dave
Nice mix of bikes ,especially all the Nortons.
Great work Mike.😉
My dream motorcycle is Triumph n Norton. i got BSA and every week i did night riding......someday i will have one of these bike....:)

A great video as always 👌💯💯👍
Thank you! Cheers!
A lot of great Commandos but I particularly liked the white Guzzi Le Mans mk3. Wish I still had my red one.
What a great turn out Mike, the silver Atlas still catches my eye every time it's on the road.

Wow. Watching those 5 Norton's pull into the Home Depot parking lot like that, all in a line, just warms my heart. Thank you.
Hi Mike. I want to live in Oregon with like minded guys. Bike Heaven. But its a long way from OZ.
Australia is also on my bucket list! I hope to get there one day. Best wishes, Mike.
I have a friend with a Norton 850 in the garage .
What an amazing turnout just great, such a great club you all are in, thanks so much for the footage Mike 👍
Hello Mike magnifique vidéo

The more I watch your channel, the more I need a Commando in my life!😁
Great stuff Mike, lots of interesting bikes, thanks
They are all nice !
been too long since I've watched yer antics- you said Hurricane and I thought CBR !!
Wish we had a club like this in Maine. The black Norton did sound tighter.
What a great collection of nortons and not one of them smoked from one exhaust like my. 72-750. I found out years later they did a fix on the head gasket I think that was a known issue. I still wish I had it every day . Good job guys.

Nice turn out. I noticed the helmets are put behind the back wheel of the motorbike. Any reason for that ?.
Mike I was wondering about norton gas tanks was there a certain year they changed from fibreglass to steel tanks ?
I will never understand why Yamaha decided not to bring the MT-01 to the States.🤔🤔🤔❤️🏍
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉😊😊😊😊😊
what tail lights are those and do they last?
just found a channel--utube---Allen Millyard----taking apart Norton V8 1500cc racer---didn't even know there was such a thing!
Ha, yes I’m subscribed to Allen’s channel and enjoy his technical episodes very much. That Nemesis is wild, isn’t it! Cheers, Mike
I HOPE THAT YOU CLEAN UP ALL THE OIL STAINS AFTER YOU???
Haha, none of the Oregon Norton Enthusiasts Nortons leak any oil Jim 😜

Beware the repop Emgo Norton peashooter mufflers the 19" type they are straight through not for street. At least on a 441 cylinder.
wouldn't have liked being the Barista.
