~(으)ㄹ게요 is for expressing speaker's willingness in the future. Check this video: ua-cam.com/video/q-t_46P4ktQ/v-deo.html . I think you can use words or expressions like 다행이에요 or 잘 됐어요 to express something you did in the past was fortunate.
