    선생님의 가르치는 방법 아주 좋아해요. 성샌님 덕분에 제가 한국어 실력 전 보다 좋아졌어요.

    선생님,is there we should only use past tense in last verb in sentence?for example 한국에 가려다가 돈이 없어서 못 갔어요.(갔어요)this in this sentence?

    일번 수업을 들으려다가 한국어 수업을 듣기로 했어요. This sentence could be translated as "Instead of Japanese class I decided to acces Korean class." 맞아요? 한번 가르쳐주세요..

    • @simonsays163
      @simonsays163 5 років тому +3

      다가 makes it so something was interrupted. "Instead of" is more of a choice rather than a sudden change of mind imo. 저도 한국어를 공부합니다.

      @@simonsays163 Korean has many grammar rules, so literally translation could sound strange..
      -- 려고 -- means "want ~~ " 다가 ~~ means "stop one action and start another, so the translation should be "I stoped wanting (want +ing impossible to use as you know) to listen to Japanese class and I decided to listen to Korean class." Looks very strange... Do you agree??
      So.. literally translation is not good.. we should take care about meaning only.. every language has different expressions.. that's why.
      Thank you for your time^^
