I love sitting in the shade fishing myself! Used to be an ice chest of cold ones to enjoy while fishing! Those days are gone because I don’t even drink the few beers in my garage refrigerator and they have probably been sitting in there for a few years now! During the hurricanes in 2020 I lost the whole little shed that had all of my fishing gear in it to one of the many tornadoes that night! So I don’t even have a rod and reel anymore! I love three tackle boxes and an artificial worm bag and 8 nice rods, salt water and fresh! After that it was so stressful for me, it took me a few days to realize just what I had and lost! Sad day!
Ridin on a hay trailer brings back memories of 3 string alfalfa x 1,000 bales. That was a long day! Remember that tree you transplanted will need to be watered even after it goes dormant.
The whole place looks awesome Brian, congratulations to you and your beautiful pond! You know if you ask for rain, it comes when you least expect it my friend! Thanks for sharing Brian, I’ll be sending prayers and positive energy to you and your family my friend! Take care and I’ll see you in the next one! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👌🏻👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🙋🏼✌🏻✌🏻💯💯💯
You know, you are blessed to have the equipment and capability to do upkeep on your property! You can do much of that, letting people come on your property and camp or whatever else because these days the landowner is liable for injuries or whatever else could happen! I hate that because it kinda takes the fun out of everything! 🙏🏻👌🏻👍🏻 once the grass takes again it’s going to be ten times more beautiful out there!
Chris has a lot experience growing ponds into lakes then surrounds it with lush green grass ! At least the wind was mostly calm for blowing the straw ! Brian keep the videos coming your a enjoyable person & I love the commentary as you get stuff done It don't matter what your doing it is how you grow the channel & very enjoyable to watch ! The most funny part was you getting stuck in the argo lol ! If I was ever going be down your way I'd love meet up & see how the lake is doing & yes you need to name it as a lake now Set back with a cooler full cold snacks a pole & let the fish or turtle name it after a 6 pack or two !
Thank you! Content will slow down now but I’ll keep making videos of the progress of the lake and other projects. The name will come, in the manner you described lol
Nice job with the straw. It will keep the seeds moist after wetting, keep the birds from eating the seeds and straw has less weeds. This is a nice investment you made. Chris can make poop look great.
The straw blower is the coolest thing ever, it does an amazing job and fast! The dam looks awesome. Brian, wide and nice back slope! Now it’s a thing of beauty, to drive or walk on! I wonder if your remote controlled mower will be able to cut the grass on the back slope! Either way it looks great! 👌🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Helluva compound yer setting up there! As an old fisherman up in Ohio I've fished plenty of ponds. But to OWN little slice of heaven like that,my o my!Good wishes to you n your family.
Thanks for all the vids...your place turned out nice....Chris and you worked hard...so now I am going to follow you more to see your steps....thanks again from Vancouver Canada .
Brian, I was just watching Chris moving some more dirt and laying down another culvert. Since I subscribed to your channel, I thought I would see what was happening in your neck of the woods.
Hey there! Thanks! That's right, there's always something to do. I have a few projects in the works.. Core drill through the riser to add a gate valve, 16x16 floating dock build, need to knock down some dirt here shortly and then plan for beaches. A little at a time!
C'mon Commando dude... That's not how you open a bag on the farm! You pull the string and it unzips. You know that by now. Just pickin', thanks for the vid.
I know #LetsDig18 is probably expensive (He Is Worth It) ... but your property value also probably just more than doubled the cost of having the #PondWhisperer re-do your site. Good Luck out there
I'm looking forward to some aerial shots again. I find it difficult to visualize your property. The ride around on the trailer today really screwed up my Idea of the layout there. 👍
Chris had some good ones. An eagle knocked down my first drone then the second drone landed itself in the pond at the beginning of this project. lol I’ll get another soon
@BrushCommando Those tracked rigs certainly seem capable. Making the timing call on equipment always seems to be after we all do it the hard way, then upgrade!
Shades new grass growing, provides nutrients to poor soil when it rots, keeps moisture from evaporating as quickly, minimizes erosion until the grass can get established, maybe keeps critters from stealing as much as they might.

Hate to hear that!

Some bald cypress trees would be beautiful out there.

You know, it lightly rained 2 days later, out of nowhere.
What a beautiful lake. You really did a great job of videoing the entire project. Hope your fan base doubles in the near future. 👍👍👍👍
Thank you

You’re absolutely right about that!

Looks great! Sure was worth the 2 year wait. Now, if only the neighbor would pick up his toilet seat!!!
nice touch, seeding and strawing, hoping for some rain for you now, to fill the ponds and get the banks green..
It actually ended up raining lightly 2 days later, out of nowhere! Funny how that works
Nice job with the straw. It will keep the seeds moist after wetting, keep the birds from eating the seeds and straw has less weeds. This is a nice investment you made. Chris can make poop look great.
Would be nice to have a few Sycamore trees around the pond for some shade
Everything looks fantastic. God Bless.

It should be able to… we’ll see!

Thanks! You too
100% leave some trees in 🌲 🌳🤩
What does the local beavers union think about all this now that Chris put them all out of work?😅
MM77 Approved 👍🏼 👍🏼

Thanks it is looking good
That straw spreader really BLOWS.
Nice finish 😎😎😎👍👍👍
Hey Guy, how did you like working with Chris? He 's the best.
Hey Guy! Was fun, we got a lot done in a short amount of time.
How about you run your john boat back and fourth at the dan with your gas powered pump and gently spray water on your new grass seed .
going on winter in N.C.,he'll get rain soon enough.seed will sit til then.

All the housing around your property and pond, did you subdivide them or was that done before you owned the property?
@@johnmartin-sg7cv Before
That was just a dam job.

Gonna be awfuly lonely here pretty soon.
Is the plan to keep burning the tree debris, or are you planning on adding a big chipper one of these days for the business?
Continue to burn for now.. been looking at tracked horizontal grinders, they’re not cheap though.
@BrushCommando Those tracked rigs certainly seem capable. Making the timing call on equipment always seems to be after we all do it the hard way, then upgrade!
why straw

Makes me sneeze just watching
As long as trees aren’t doing damage by roots or blow downs, then the more and the bigger, the better
