Excellent video Jonas. So happy to see you producing these. Look forward to more videos.
Thank you for this video Jonas, it is very educational and fun to watch. I’m glad you decided to make new content in a regular basis, I hope you continue this way.
Man am I excited for these regular videos. Fantastic as always Jonas
He has a wonderful diction, natural and polished presenter.
Wow!! Im so happy you showed up in my feed. My bonsai journey has just begun (3yrs) and Im in the process of absorbing as much information as humanly possible. Thank you, sir.....
Jonas, You are on a roll. It's a real pleasure watching you teaching and contributing so much to the bonsai community. I'm already excited about this years Expo. I also hope to be attending Bonsai Central in May outside St Louis. Keep up the good work and THANK YOU!!!

Love your videos! Please keep them coming!
You are a truly great teacher Jonas, I really enjoy your videos. Always great information
Thank you
Love your videos. Great explanation for those of us who are new. I hope you produce many more. ❤
On camera I like the branch structure as is. If you were to take that top off leaving the developed branches it seems to impart the illusion of the kind of powerful Ficus' you see from Taiwan. Very cool tree. Although I have been doing bonsai for a couple decades I have only just started working with Maples. Seeing you work with cut paste makes me think perhaps I should get some knowing how much maples bleed.
Great video, Jonas! Thanks for sharing :)
I really enjoy your blog posts but seeing you on UA-cam is even better. Brilliant demonstration - thnaks
This video came just at the right time as I was contemplating fall work on an old trident maple clump. Thanks!
Nice steps ahead for the tree!!
Thanks, Nigel!
Nice work on an absolutely beautiful specimen. Thanks, keep growing
I saw you at this passed national show. I wanted to say hi but I have this weird thing about feeling like some kind of stalker since I've followed your blog for years. I really enjoy your approach to bonsai. And your presence on camera is solid. Forgive me for not being friendly at the show.
Ha - don't hesitate to say hi the next time we're at the same event!
Thanks Jonas! I have a couple of these and try and learn from as many different Bonsai minds as I can
Would love to see videos about pines and junipers
Thank you Jonás! It’s amazing!
I would love videos about your work with wisterias if you can :)
Thank you so much!
Thanks, Cesar! I'll plan for a wisteria topic in spring.
Just see very much agree doing 🍃..🥰🥰👍
Keep it up Jonas! Please make a carpinus video in the future.
Thật tuyệt vời ❤❤❤❤❤
Great video Jonas. Do you ever apply a lime sulphur spray this time of year, to your tridents trunk, for pests? I see some people doing that, specially in Japan, any info would be appreciated, thank you!! 🙏
I do, ideally I apply lime sulfur twice over winter. I don’t always get to it, but now’s a good time for it.
I applied same technics on liquidambar as other desidious but about cuttings, air layers and scares looks very difficult to me, didn't have success on those topics yet.
👍👍
Would you consider using the scarred side as the front and treating the scar as a feature rather than a blemish?
I thought about it, but the shape of the trunk makes more sense with the other side as the front, plus I don't want the core of the trunk to rot if possible. If the decay were further along and the shape of the trunk made sense for that side as the front, I'd go for that.
🔥🔥🔥
Foist!!
hello, any information on liquid amber?
I'll happily share some liquidambar info when I have one to work with - they're a great species for bonsai!
