      @Nimrod E Thank you, I am. The only consolation was she went out after fighting as hard as she could and exceeding her original time (six months) by triple what they gave her, and she went on her own terms.

    My Father actually survieved 3 brain tumors and had surgery on every single one. The last one they had to remove was in the beginning of this year. He´s alright, as far as you can be after that and is currently in chemo wich seems to work well. It´s devestating seeing him suffer and being week but my mon and I do our best to make him feel good and see life positive......as good as we can. He was strong for us whenever we needed him now it is our turn to be strong for him. I take the care over him twice a week and whenever needed since he can´t be left alone nomore. After 3 brain surgeries he suffers from some brain damage (well they had to remove small parts of his brain with the tuomors) and he has trouble holding his mind together or acts irrational at times especially when he´s stressed. So my mom and I do our best to prevent anything that could happen in those periods of time. Imagine having an child trapped in a mans body that´s the best how I can explain his actions. It is hard and I pray for everyone who´s family is going through a similar situation and I know it is hard at times but embrace the time you have left with your loved ones and make every day count for them! As they will count for you.....memories will always be there.

      So sad for your father as well as you and your mother. You sound as though you and your mother are loving and caring but it is such a fraught situation for you providing for all your father's needs needs as well as trying to keep him calm all the time is very stressful. Make sure you take care of yourself and make time for yourself so you don't burn out. You are so right in saying enjoy your time with each other. Love and blessings to your and your family💖🙏💖

    Last year I experienced excruitating headaches and I could not stop vomiting. I would vomit every 10-30mins for the whole day. The next day I booked an emergency appointment with my GP I was continuing to throw up I had an extreme sensitivity to light aswell. She reccomended that I have an MRI but the only one I could get was three days later. I had an injection to stop the vomiting and was given anti nausea meds so that I could keep food, water and medication down. The headaches and light sensitivity only got worse the I had the MRI and I was instantly diagnosed with a 2inch long blood clot in my brain I was rushed to the emergency at Fiona Stanley hospital. Within the hour I was surrounded by a team of doctors and multiple numerologists and a neurosurgeon. I was hooked up to a cannula 24/7 and was dosed with heparin I had neurology exams every 4hrs and blood tests every six. I was only sixteen. I spent 10 days in the neurology ward under intensive supervision and was finally cleared after 6months of taking blood thinners daily. This diagnosis was awful and affected me and my family drastically anything to do with the brain is always terrifying and I still live with a large amount of scar tissue in my brain and the possibility that I could have another blood clot anywhere in my body at any time that could potentially kill me. It’s a genetic condition I’m heterozygous for the prothrombin gene mutation which means I am 30% more likely than normal people without the mutation to form a blood clot

    • @CNile-se9xw
      @CNile-se9xw 4 роки тому +1

      Tanisha, hang in there kid blood clotting is fixable & I suggest that you ask to remain on blood-thinners as a safety net. I've been on Warfarin for 20 years & continue to have my blood tested at least every 4 weeks to make sure it's in the safe range.
      A lot of people carry on about Warfarin being chemically the same as rat poison, whether it's true or not, I don't care less. I've survived a Pulmonary Embolism (blood clotting in the lungs) & if taking rat poison has given me 20 years already, that I may not've had without it, then I'm all for it.
      Enjoy life.

    • @tanishaburgess7608
      @tanishaburgess7608 4 роки тому

      I was put on the new medication rivaroxaban it’s a new one which doesn’t require you to have any blood tests as I am extremely needlephobic and blood tests were extremely traumatic and anxiety inducing for me. I was given the option to remain on it but I hated the side affects especially the increased bleeding, which heavily affected my period (I won’t go into detail) so I opted to stop the medication and only use it when I need to have surgery or for long flights/car trips

    I work for Lowes Menswear and we proudly sold the Beanies for Brain Cancer for the Mark Hughes Foundation. They sold so quick it was a heartwarming feeling the money sold for every beanie went to funding to finding a cure for Brain Cancer. Already looking forward to doing it again next year! I have recently been experiencing electric shocks on the right side of my brain and migraines the last two months and after 2 ct scans and an mri scan two weeks ago I was found to be in the clear from any tumours or a possibility of a stroke and it was put down to stress due to health issues to relating to two of my children and anxiety so I feel blessed and grateful that my health problem is short lived and easily pain managed.

    • @CNile-se9xw
      @CNile-se9xw 4 роки тому

      Angela, I genuinely feel for you & your 2 children who obviously have major health issues, but you're in a precarious situation. Stress is a killer & pain management (pain-killers) is not the answer, at best it only masks the problem.
      I strongly urge you to seek support from family & friends to help you cope with your devastating situation. Extending from that, it's vital that you seek professional support, my suggestion would be a psychiatrist to help you manage your understandable state of depression. Your children are relying on you & they lose that if you fall from the hideous wall of depression.
      Please take care of yourself & be positive, so that you can be your best for those that you love.

    I didn't have any immediate critical illness, but I was in a spiraling state of deteriorating health - _and your body will most certainly tell you about it_ - that I knew was a direction towards a coffin. I made the decision to take pre-emptive measures and stopped working for four years to sort myself out. Thankfully I'm better now, not fully "cured" but 50% ok, and I've managed to secure a part-time work engagement.
    The most certain thing in life is _death_ . Anybody born will eventually die. The sooner one comes to terms with that reality, the better. Then one should not fear death as much, but rather worry about whether one can _die happy_ . So do whatever it is you want in life to the fullest (obviously not for abusing yourself and others), so you can die without regrets and with a big smile on your face.
