    A friend and I toured the ship in San Pedro last Friday. It was like waiting for a Disneyland ride. A long wait in the hot sun for a quick walk-around on the ship, but I was not disappointed. It is a beautiful, historic vessel and the crew was friendly and helpful. The ship is now on it's way to Honolulu, which will take about two weeks. Tempting to hop a flight and greet the ship when it arrives in Hawaii. I hear my frequent flyer miles screaming, "Do it!"

    When I was 15, I applied for the Morosini Naval Academy in Venice, then I changed my mind when I tried the uniform, which I found ridiculous. Now I find it wonderful (I am 67 now). I regret it now.

      Also a wait in the sun which I generally won't do but I went Monday. A lot of things weren't super clear with reservations and other stuff.

    I must go down to the seas again, to the lonely sea and the sky,
    And all I ask is a tall ship and a star to steer her by;
    And the wheel’s kick and the wind’s song and the white sail’s shaking,
    And a grey mist on the sea’s face, and a grey dawn breaking.
    I must go down to the seas again, for the call of the running tide
    Is a wild call and a clear call that may not be denied;
    And all I ask is a windy day with the white clouds flying,
    And the flung spray and the blown spume, and the sea-gulls crying.
    I must go down to the seas again, to the vagrant gypsy life,
    To the gull’s way and the whale’s way where the wind’s like a whetted knife;
    And all I ask is a merry yarn from a laughing fellow-rover,
    And quiet sleep and a sweet dream when the long trick’s over.

      Lo sappiamo che il continente era già popolato, la differenza sta, nel processo di stanziamento che é avvenuto in un lasso temporale a cavallo tra la preistoria e la storia. Pertanto chi ha potuto e voluto, lo ha documentato, così come lo conosciamo.

      @@occhiodilince8422 Può darsi che intendessero così, però mi pare che le piramidi precolombiane si autodocumentino da sole, così per dire, cmq il post non riguarda voi qui e pareva contestare la scoperta in sé, ma anche fosse burocraticamente solo per la certificazione, fatta dalla nostra storia, non varrebbe per la storia dei nativi, i quali han diritto di fregarsene di quanto crediamo noi con la nostra storia, per cui contano i fatti, non le patacche narrative di parte, per così dire.

    Americo Vespucci is what the Americas are named after. Many called North America “Turtle Island” before that. Many don’t know that there were many pyramids in the Americas including deep into Illinois. The Vikings were actually here before Columbus as well.

      That's what Scandinavians love to tell in their legend-tales despite the even approximate location of North America they landed on is still unknown and when all this happened too. But you know there are historicians who claimed the discover for ancient Egyptians, Phoenicians, Mings Chinese Empire ...

      @@carlobrotto7132 Have you looked into Monks Mound? Some pyramids were not discovered because many were covered and looked like mountains. I often wonder how much hidden knowledge there is around us that is buried. Look at the Teotihuacan Pyramid in Mexico City in 1900 and in 2022 and how different the area looks now compared to back then.

      The Vikings didn't bring the discovery and settlement, therefore it was useless and credit given to Columbus. And it was Giovanni Caboto (aka John Cabot) who brought the English settlement of America. So Italians made America and Western Civilization.

    Thank you for the video, wishing you guys organize further open air cinema shows and enjoy to know more who was Vespucci, these modern days most people have no courage for such ..explorers adventures, for such.. Impossible missions, travels and crucial discoveries. The boat seems much bigger than I imagined, try to realize those ages back what a huge achievement, yeah, it had to worth a fortune like a modern cruising ship.. who would give you today the money to build up a yacht on your own...go out sailing, nobody knows if you will ever turn back????😢😢😢 we never learn enough from our ancestors. The Vespucci's bad luck is that...he found only ice, cold and a desert land...the Colombo's fortune instead, much more South he found .. bananas😂😂😂😅😅 tell me how horrible had to be Europe with no potatoes, no tomatos...no corn😢😢😢 disgusting
