I hope you finally got to feeling better. As far as fireflies, my backyard in Tennessee is inundated with fireflies all summer long!
That sounds so horrible! Was it sciatica? Nic is nice and healed, except she did get food poisoning again 😂, all healed now though! That sounds absolutely wonderful! We had never seen them before.
There's nothing worse than getting so ill abroad. The main thing is not to get dehydrated. I always take dioralyte with me while travelling. Hope you recovered from this fast.
