- The day starts with Kacy out of town in Chicago, and Hudsyn's care nurse Alicia having to leave early. Dan gets the kids dressed and off to school, then the story skips forward to the school busses coming home and Hudsyn VERY upset and crying. Dan gets her downstairs quickly to where it's cool in the basement and attempts to figure out what is upsetting her. His best determination is that it's a pretty hard back spasm. She finally gets some relief after some gentle massage from Dan but has a seizure which sends her directly into a deep sleep for a couple hours. Dan gets her hooked up to her pulse OX machine and her stats are fine, much to HIS relief.
Later he and the kids are on storm watch as they wait through multiple delays of Kacy's flight home. She was supposed to land back into KC at 9:30pm, but after 1 cancelation, and SIX delays, she didn't land until 2am. Dan packs up the kids and drives the 25 minutes to the airport to pick her up and the whole family doesn't get into bed until after 3am! It was a ROUGH DAY!

It's heartbreaking to see Hudsyn crying, but it's sweet how you comfort her and hold her, you're great parents. You inspire and help others to keep up hope.. I have a little cousin who has bad anxiety and seizures and it's heartbreaking, but always nice to see caring people like you guys. You have the patience of a Saint! The way you are with her is just amazing, she is lucky to have you as her father! I have 5 children 4 are adults and one is 11, and of course I’ve had to deal with sickness and a few scary situations, but what you go through on an everyday basis…I’m not sure I could do. I suffer from extreme anxiety and not knowing what exactly was wrong with one of my kids would have pushed my mental health to the limit! It’s so impressive watching you figure out what her needs are, especially since she’s unable to express what’s wrong!

I wish I could be there . In the short time that I’ve been watching. It’s impackted me. I would put everything down and be on the next flight. I have a lot of health issues. I have some mental health challenges. Also orthopedic and g i issues. And severly allergic to dairy. I have Williams syndrome. It has not been easy to say the least.

have a sister who is going on 33 with severe cerebral palsy.....its getting very difficult for me to deal with alot of the mental issues she's been having lately. neighbors literally called the cops on me she was screaming so much the other day. Worst part is she never seems to need anything when she screams. She just yells while watching wwe videos on youtube. Getting tough for me to care for her on my own. not sure what to do.

Did you try a warm towel on hudson,s tummy and rock back and fourth in a rocking chair put a quilt on one side and the other side the same way lay her down on your tummy with the warm towel it probably won't feel comfortable for you Dan but it will help Hudson I am medically disabled and mentally delayed and medically challenged I have a wheelchair and crutches and oxygen and a walker I am using my mother's wifi tablet for my messages I have carcinoma cancer and pancretitis and multiple medical issues and problems I have a therapy kitten 😺 named Wilson lynch
