Not sure if you are speaking from the perspective of an adult or a child, it doesn't really matter other than context for my reply. I can give my honest perspective as a parent of two children with disabilities, one with C.P. and seizure disorders. The truth is sometimes it is a burden because there is fear, physical exhaustion, frustration, uncertainty, etc. It is a burden you would never imagine not taking on for your child. The only thing worse for a parent is the thought that their child would be afraid to ask for, or take, help. As for other people, the world is made up of two groups of people, those who move towards problems and try to help or those who move away and avoid. That is all about them and not you. Take help from those who offer, don't spend too much time thinking about those that don't.

For whomever this may be applicable, you might want to look into the possibility of what is called a "nasal trumpet" to use in lieu of an oral airway. You'll probably need a pediatric size. These are not all that hard to put in but can be very uncomfortable, possibly painful getting in. It's a good thing to consider if her breathing gets much worse than what is seen here. I'm glad to see that the woman trying to put the oral airway did NOT try to force her mouth open.

I pray for this precious girl and her family. I couldn't imagine my child going through this and the difficulties for her and the hard and emotional work taking care of her, but however I don't understand the mother's thinking that it was more important to capture this event on camera ( honestly it didn't look like dad was understanding why she felt the need to capture this traumatic event on video either) the only important thing at that moment was to care and help her. I apologize in advance for this part of my comment. Thank you for sharing but honestly we don't need to video all parts of our lives and post them online for the world to see. But all the same my heart breaks and goes out for this precious child and we all need to pray for her.
Tonya, I understand your compassion and asking the question is fair. I do know when my toddler, now 35 was having severe head pain for hrs on end, I had to video it. Dr from John Hopkins Neuro-pediatrics wanted it plus, as hard as it is to see, it could help another parent with same conditions.
As a parent of two special needs children you video for the Dr. to see what's happening! I've done the same. When my son started having seizures at two and half years old I took him to the emergency room the Dr was going to send him home until I made him stay in the room to actually see what was going on! And once he did we immediately was sent to another hospital more equipped to handle it. Parents have to advocate for their children!

My heart goes out to this young little girl and her precious dad who my heart was wrenching for him… Are used to have grand mal and petit mal seizures as a young child and my mom most the time was the one having to help me through them and she was amazing thank God we didn’t have videotaping back then because I think attentiveness to her first then video set the camera down if you wanna videotape most cameras are set up to be reliant on their own accord in the right positioning I’m not real happy with the mom I get that she wanted to have it on video so to share the experience but you’re a mom first video photographer second blogger third you’re a wife and mother number one I know you love your daughter not seeing you don’t let my heart was wrenching for the little girl and definitely for dad who looked scared for his daughter and thankfully he was giving such wonderful comfort
The dad was doing pretty well to deal with her daughter. To some extent I do agree with you about more help with the girl however, The fact that she did record it may have been invaluable in terms of someone being able to figure out what is going on. The reason I say this is that there may be no consistency as to when these seizures are happening and the chances of getting the girl into a doctor's office at just the right time for them to see a seizure are pretty slim. Plus they may end up going through a number of doctors before they get someone who may have an idea. Having the one video to be linked to what medical professionals need it. This would simplify many things and allow the parents more time with the child. 🙂
@@84953 I agree but I am a mother a grandmother and I as a child I had severe seizures there are times because there’s plenty out there on the Internet now regarding what a seizure looks like that there’s trains were you can still put the camera down let it run and you both intervene and you both call 911 no if Ann’s or butts… But my heart really to go out for the child especially and for that dad who looked frightened… There’s been other videos with the same family and he even pleaded for the mother to put the camera down and she didn’t want to and that’s very disheartening… But yes these videos can be educational but there’s plenty out there sometimes your child becomes number one social media is last on the list
@@84953 I think most neurologists or even GPs will be able to diagnose a seizure and write up tests to exclude other factors that could contribute to such seizures but it does help medical students like myself to learn about seizures through visual observation of one taking place.
i am aspergers and get seizures too, myoclonic ones, have been trying to catch them on video to show the doctors but it's so difficult. at first i was a bit irked thinking this was just exploiting sienna - what a beautiful name, btw - but then realised when the mum said how they needed to get it on video. the part where all the muscles spasm up and you're retching, it is sooo fkn scary. the father dud a wonderful job of keeping her safe, the mum, too. i hope she gets the help she needs to keep the seizures under control. looks like was ws having a laugh with the basketball, too. healing and harmony to her and all of you.💖✨️😅🌈

The mother I am guessing is the one taking the video... Idgaf how bad you want to get something on video... When your daughter needs help and your husband/her father is basically asking you for help. Drop the damn phone and go HELP! To the girl I hope she is doing good and to the father You are amazing! Continue to show your compassion and love for your daughter! She can feel it!

I'm sorry... I don't know this family's back-story and im not trying to judge but I just have to acknowledge this. NOPE, Still can't wrap my head around that much CLOUT CHASING, STUPIDITY & IGNORANCE!
I’m in full agreement. I understand the need to video seizure footage for doctors to help the, diagnose and treat patients, but prioritizing your child’s health in the moment, in clueing potentially life saving medications always come first.
This looks similar to my sezuires/episodes. I hope you don’t mind if I suggest that the important thing is to support her head and neck. Also don’t hold her arms to her body. This must be so hard for you all. X

Looked this topic up because my lifelong epilepsy is now being denied , i had PCOS ,, and Catamenial Epilepsy, then misdiagnosed with Bipolar 1 after Tegretol gave me a bad drug rash. After tapering, the focal/ temporal lobe epilepsy was made worse by SSRI'S, Antipsychotics, and neuroleptics, and all i needed was another AED and the progesterone which the Drs refused to keep giving me. Now i have # Akathisia, return of epilepsy after being seizure free for 20 years, Tardive Dyskinesia Dystonia... Take care ❤ I do have 2 AED'S, one is Clonazepam, taken daily for years, and my body grew tolerant. I was not given informed consent. Im so sorry for all the children who suffer from this, ive had epilepsy since a child. Be vigilant with Doctors
Wow what a bad mom she said that she doesn't care about that she just cares about getting that on video I would care about my own daughter if she was having a seizure what a bad mom just recording
Exactly the video means nothing if the person doesn’t come out of it. She could have put the camera down so many times to film and help her instead she just sat there like paparazzi trying to get every angle the medicine could have kicked in sooner and babygirl wouldn’t have had to convulse so bad. 😞 she’s looking at her mom like what took you so long to help me. So sad
@@M.M__-None of it is as simple as that. The type of seizure and her medical conditions dictate when she gets the medicine and what type. As for what she is thinking about her mom, she is probably post-ictal, which would mean she is coming out of the seizure but not particularly oriented or alert. It has been described to me as like waking from anesthesia. The best thing for her is what she is getting, people she knows, holding her close and doing familiar things as she recovers.
@@willj1598 so you’re proving my point. Instead of filming mom could have out that camera down somewhere to continue the film and help give her daughter the attention and medicine that she needed. Her daughter did not need to struggle that long.
@@M.M__- My point was, it may not be a rescue medicine and timing may not matter. Since they didn't explain anything about her diagnosis, history, or type of medicine we are just speculating. I do not believe she was doing this for views. The channel has one video and no explanation. The video has the default file naming generated by a camera or phone. I'm guessing they uploaded this as a means of sharing it with someone specific, maybe not even realizing it would be public. Please don't be so quick to assume bad things about her. They are clearly dealing with a horrible situation. Sometimes, in times of desperation, we do things differently than we would if we had time to think them through.
@@willj1598 clearly they know of what the situation is. The father even told her in the video get the medicine now. But the mother was being selfish and putting the camera first. Either way she could have put that camera down and be with her child or help to hold her with the father. She was about to vomit and dad asked for a bucket or bowl her response was I want to record. Father told her to get the medicine she chose recording keep in mind this was right after she confirmed that the medicine was ready. Yet she had to run and go get it after the convulsing became worse when it didn’t need to get that far.
After two days of high fever my 16 yo son had his first seizure-very scary. I thought he was dying and I cried to Jesus 😢 I’m going to contact his doctor today.
I supported a young woman with cerebral palsy, she also had seizures. Even though she struggled with communcation, she absolutely understood everything that was said to her. This poor girl has her own mother discussing her periods, denying her medication and completely disrespecting her and her privacy, all for her own self satisfaction of making a youtube video! I found this video as it just popped up, I won't be watching anymore from this woman.
I see a lot of people saying that it was mean of the mother and father to not get drastic medical help. Well, there is really nothing you can do when you are having a seizure. There is a possibility (like in the video), that rescue meds can be given. I assume the parents are used to the seizures, so they know what to do. When I have one of my seizures, people wait it out and let me recover. And that works perfectly fine. (the seizure ain't fun tho). They did the right things, like turning her on her side and keeping her from choking on her saliva. Sometimes, it is a GOOD thing to record a seizure. This gives visual info to neurologists. It may appear a bit cruel to you, seeing that parents do nothing, but they have everything under control.
And whoever is saying “why do the parents need to suffer like this?” … what about the girl???? It’s comments like that which make myself and other epileptics feel like they’re a burden and not want to ask for help!

Если другие родители увидят,.то могут друг другу помочь в личении ребенка,.Могут советоваться с друг другом ,как помочь своим детям итд,,
As a parent of two special needs children you video for the Dr. to see what's happening! I've done the same. When my son started having seizures at two and half years old I took him to the emergency room the Dr was going to send him home until I made him stay in the room to actually see what was going on! And once he did we immediately was sent to another hospital more equipped to handle it. Parents have to advocate for their children!
我覺得他們夫妻做得很好讓外界了解這種病況如何緩解得到幫助...❤

Not suppose to restrain someone with a seizure. The person is more important than “getting it on camera for UA-cam” just wow.

Very scary situation seizures are really scary I remember my girlfriend suffered from seizures I had to give her medicine to her everyday but she got sick and died it's really heartbreaking to see stuff like this I will be praying for her
SFYL, my guy. Prayers be with you.
My nephew Alex suffer from seizure
@@84953 I think most neurologists or even GPs will be able to diagnose a seizure and write up tests to exclude other factors that could contribute to such seizures but it does help medical students like myself to learn about seizures through visual observation of one taking place.
i am aspergers and get seizures too, myoclonic ones, have been trying to catch them on video to show the doctors but it's so difficult.
at first i was a bit irked thinking this was just exploiting sienna - what a beautiful name, btw - but then realised when the mum said how they needed to get it on video. the part where all the muscles spasm up and you're retching, it is sooo fkn scary.
the father dud a wonderful job of keeping her safe, the mum, too. i hope she gets the help she needs to keep the seizures under control. looks like was ws having a laugh with the basketball, too.
healing and harmony to her and all of you.💖✨️😅🌈
She is a blessing to her parents, and it's a blessing they have the means & strength to take care of her.
Que triste pobresita, que dios la vendiga😪❤
My niece suffers from LGS. Out of curiosity, have you tried CBD for her seizures? I know everyone is different, but for my niece, it's been truly a lifesaving addition to her meds. Sienna is a beautiful girl. And very lucky to have such wonderful parents. 💖
Can I ask what other medicines she takes? Can there be anything with diet to change?
That was the way The Doctors gave to my Daughters ..Depaken Syroup and Diazepam ..every time got seizure whole her life
Nice girl !. Looks wonderful !. 🙂💐💗💋✨
Ay señor Dios pobrecita muchacha y los padres también sufren que tristeza
The mother I am guessing is the one taking the video... Idgaf how bad you want to get something on video... When your daughter needs help and your husband/her father is basically asking you for help. Drop the damn phone and go HELP!
To the girl I hope she is doing good and to the father You are amazing! Continue to show your compassion and love for your daughter! She can feel it!
Your daughter is beautiful. I pray she will be ok.
"Can you get the medicine?" " no I want to get this on video" wth???? She's only interested in views. No wonder this is the only video on the channel. And who names a girl "Santa"?
Her name is sienna if you actually listened then you’ll know
Здоровья девочке 🙏
This is incredible love from a father my sister and girlfriend would have these. They both passed away unfortunetly. God will work it out for her shes in my prayers.❤
My heart felt prayer to God
He will keep her in good condition.Don’t worry parents
She will be alright
Heavenly Father, wrap your arms around this family. Bless them.
No he visto AMOR MAS GRANDE QUE EL DE ESTOS PADRES, ORARE POR ELLOS,ME HAN ENSEÑADO TANTO, BENDIGO ESTA HERMOSA NIÑA,EN EL DULCE NOMBRE DE JESÚS AMEN.
ربنا يشفيها ويعافيها يارب امين 💜
I'm sorry... I don't know this family's back-story and im not trying to judge but I just have to acknowledge this. I don't understand how a mother could watch her child having a GM Seizure and prioritize "getting it on video" over getting her child's epilepsy medication. Um.....
I guess the women on call is her doctor
..how do they get medicine in her? A shot? How quickly will it work?

God bless this child
This looks similar to my sezuires/episodes. I hope you don’t mind if I suggest that the important thing is to support her head and neck. Also don’t hold her arms to her body. This must be so hard for you all. X
Can I ask why they are holding her arms to her body and why this is not good to do?

She is precious to all of us the lord will help her we all know it❤❤❤
That family needs a divorce, you can see the dad is frustrated with the mum wanting to video it.
A divorce?? How about family therapy?!!
2:35 I don’t care about the bucket, I wanna get this on video.
2:55 dads reaction to her stupid question .
3:40 she said her nose suctions in
3:44 can’t breathe
3:45 can’t breathe
3:47 let’s go of her nose again, can’t breathe
I feel like slapping her. FUCK UA-cam AND HELP HER BREATHE IDIOT
She keeps letting go and tells her she has a hard time breathing it’s 4:04 now I think we got it by now. You can stop letting her suffer for cloud. Keeps proofing her daughter can’t breathe by not helping her to breathe 🙄🤦🏾♀️😭😭😭
Take care ❤
I do have 2 AED'S, one is Clonazepam, taken daily for years, and my body grew tolerant.
I was not given informed consent.
Im so sorry for all the children who suffer from this, ive had epilepsy since a child. Be vigilant with Doctors

Very Sory To See You Darling. We will Pray For You Darling God Bless you Darling From SRI LANKA
poor girl...I give her all my support!!
Father and Daughter A Fever Siezures A Sick In The Bed And Hug I Love It
After two days of high fever my 16 yo son had his first seizure-very scary. I thought he was dying and I cried to Jesus 😢 I’m going to contact his doctor today.
Такая красивая девочка, как жаль.
Why ??? Why a parent have to suffer like that ??? That have to be a very hard situation :(
The parents? I think you mean why does the child need to suffer like that? The fuck is wrong with you?
So cute and wholesome 😍❤️😘😍❤️😘😍😢😢😢😢
Big love to the man who was holding her, I've had 3 seizures & know how horrible it is.
God will protect her ♥️
