I couldn't understand this at school, but I get it now! This is amazing! I got a good mark because of your help and I can't thank you enough!
How did u understand this
@@kieshabrown9274 hey carefully listen it again and try doing some different examples and im sure you will get it
Thank you so much Banksy! You helped me so much alongside Proctor. I did pass and I'm so happy with my result! Thank you for the many awesome maths memories x
This has to be the best video on fraction indices. Thank you so much, the amount of times this video has saved me is mad.
Thank you for helping with me with my maths homework!!!
Thanks! Currently revising for my Y10 mocs next week and your videos have really helped, shame you have stopped the channel!
How'd you do in your gcses?
same, I'm revising for my year 10 mocks 😭
Never seen anyone explain this so well thank you
Thank you, this is the clearest anybody has explained!
thank you your videos are so easy to understand :D
I agree 👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you so much my maths gcse teacher is really bad at explaining stuff and I was worried I would be kicked out of high but this has really helped thank you!
this video explained it perfectly thank you! i have my year 11 mocks in 3 days and i've never understood this until now :)
How is life going
Thank you so much! I did not understand anything about this topic before I watched this. Ilysm❤❤
Thank you for making these videos! I forgot to revise for my maths test and your videos are easy to understand 😁👏
ty sm I was looking through practice questions and didn't realize I had to get the cube root
this is briliant really helped me with my Subject Knowledge Enhancement!
just revising over stuff for higher papers after Easter, you explained it so well as was getting very lost on how to do them, mainly the harder ones :D
same here :P
@@reagalatte good luck 🤞
@@Swenxtix thank u i think i failed rip
@@reagalatte mine start this Monday :(
@@Swenxtix ahh good luck i have 3 more starting tomorrow
Thank you so much! I’m in too set for maths but the worst thing about it is that they don’t teach you anything they just expect you to know it already even though we were never taught it. I just recently did this topic and I have a test on it in 2 days. I remember the names of what we did but not how we did it. they just put up questions and we have to do it for the lesson.
Ok enough of my rant 😂 thank you again!!
Allison Jagger you’re a legend thank you so much
Just wondering if one the 4th question at the start if you accidentally wrote -3 to the power instead of 3 because wouldnt it flip because of the recipical? Loved the video though helped me so much. Thanks!
Hi - so what I do is deal with it one part at a time.
I do fourth root (1/4), then cube it (3), then do the reciprocal (-1).
So my powers go from being -3/4, to -3, then to -1 as I deal with each part of the power.
Hope that makes sense!
@@Bright-Maths oh yes, i get it. Thanks for the reply wasnt expecting it !!
I have a test tomorrow but I feel more confident now THANK YOU
Thank you so much i really struggled but i understand it now thanks to you
Thank you helped me so much 😘😘
pls make a video about negative and positive numbers multiplication and division
These teachers never fail for when u have an upcoming exam ;)
Thank you I have a test tomorrow, it was so easy to understand!!!
Let's go Banksy
cheers jaggers
thanks!!! you explained this so well
This Helps me understand more😊
When you find a maths video which answers most of the questions in your homework.
Thank you so much! :D
Taught ti better than my teacher at school thanks!
i’m back here again, they keep haunting me 😭 again thank you so much!
Where did you get the 1 from in the last question????"?"?????????
The very last question; how did the answer become 1/4 and not 4?
Because the power is negative it means we find the reciprocal.
So we do 8 to the power of 2/3 which is 4.
The reciprocal of 4 is 1/4
So 8 to the power of -2/3 is 1/4
Thanks, appreaciate it!
Thanks Miss
I'm teaching my son thanks you a lot...
thank you!
Cheers helped me a lot
Thank you so much
Much appreciated miss
when i try to type the cube root of 27 on my calcuator 15.588 comes out can u pls explain to me how u got 9 2:13
MUNA M
The cube root of 27 is 3 since 3 cubed (3 x 3 x 3) is 27. I then square this because of the 2 on the numerator of the fraction to get (3 squared) 9.
It’s difficult to show you through comments only so maybe try googling how to cube root on your calculator. However you should note these questions would appear on a non calculator paper.
where did the -1 power come from in the first example
Because I have cubed the fraction, but I still need to do the negative part. Because -3 = 3 x -1, we can do each of these separately one at a time.
thank you
this was very helpful
thank you can you help me on my non-calc test i will give you candy ;)
Bery noice video dis wuan thank you!!!!!!!
Ahhh thank you so much
Thanks 😘
thanks a bunch! :)
For the second one if it's a minus in front of the fraction what do you do
Sorry I’m not sure exactly which question you are referring to?
@@Bright-Maths the second question on the first example
@@BeihGrace You would not be asked to find the square root (which is what power of 1/2 is) of a negative number. This is something covered in A level further maths or university.
May it be clearly written ❤
Thank you for making this video.you have given us an exercise of 64⅔ and you worked out 64⅓ so,I got 8 while you got 16.
Cabdiwali Hassan Glad you found it useful! 64 to the power of 2/3 is 16. You can find 64 to the power of a third first (which is what I did): power of a third is cube root so that is 4. Then you square you answer to find the power of 2 thirds and 4 squared is 16.
Alison Jagger hey I didn’t understand when you said the reciprocal what did u mean by that for the 1st and last equation
Currently revising for year 9 ta1
where does the -1 come from????????
Are you on about the last question on the first slide? If so, I have done -3/4 = 1/4 x 3 x -1. So if we first find the fourth root, then cube it, then raise it to the power of -1, that will find the answer.
Sorry I didn't get the last one
Where did the power -3 come from
Can any one explain
Are you referring to (16/81)^(-3/4) ?
If so then this is the same as finding the fourth root of 16/81 (which is 2/3) then applying a power of -3.
So (16/81)^(-3/4) = (2/3)^(-3) = (8/27)^(-1) = 27/8
Thanks I now understand
Thanks bestie
Thanks :D
Thanks a lot!
:)
Is this a calculator or non calculator question
Non calculator definitely 👍🏻
Where did the negative 1 come from? :/
Jo T If you are on about 4 to the power of minus 1 on the your turn section, this is a common GCSE exam question. Anything to the power of one is just the number itself. So all we have to do is deal with the negative which means the reciprocal of 4 which is a quarter.
Cheers banksy lad x
thank you! :)
What if it is 3-1
it wont let me put it on top of 3
3^-2 = 1/(3^2) = 1/9
3^-1 = 1/(3^1) = 1/3
