The SS Carpathia was struck by 3 torpedos from A German U Boat on July 17, 1918. 5 perished the rest were rescued by the HMS Snowdrop. That is so cool to see where the Titanic would have docked. Thanks for the tour!!
Neat history about the Titanic! I don't see how there could be ghosts there, with the Ghostbusters working in the city.
Thank you! Not terribly far from the firehouse too
@@TampaJay so cool! Your welcome!
Dude good one
That was the best scene in ghostbusters history. Maybe…
Thank you for watching. I appreciate you! instagram.com/tampajay
Hey Jay I still think you’re a young Chevy Chase😂 Great work
Gosh, how eerie to consider. That White Star terminal is beyond stunning! I'm waiting for a revival of the architecture of the past...modern architecture doesn't do it for me lol. Absolutely obsessed with your content Jay, thank you for always taking us along with you on your adventures! ❤
OMGoodness. My creature feature would have been sleeping in that pod. Been a fan of the channel for years. Thank you for the content as always.
Thank you !
Great video about the Titanic. At the mark Twain house 33:22 your camera lost focus that gave me goosebumps.
Enjoyed more regarding where the "Titanic" would have returned. Because my late Father was born 04/22/12 of that year. Thanks as always Jay!
This is one of my favorite videos you have ever put out. There's a difference between residual energy and intelligent energy. Sometimes people who pass on don't realize they're not stuck where they are. I have quite a few unfortunately that have predeceased me but have come back. I do use apps. It gives them their voice back I only use trusted sources. My family is always around me sometimes my older sister she passed in 2012 she likes to hunt Walmart my mom from 2002 likes to go to Paso Robles winery and she knew Don Laughlin of Laughlin Nevada so she's always in his casino unless I need her. This was great! Clearly you're a sensitive! Thank you!
This was awesome👍🏼
And if I may say so, these New York adventures have been OUTSTANDING!
Haunts on, my friend! 👻
It took me two sittings to view this amazing video. I'm sorry, but it's been a busy crazy day! 🤪
The Titanic story always breaks my heart. Such an unnecessary tragedy.
The house of horrors is sad as well. You know, Mr. Twain could be there to comfort those poor children. 😢
Yummy, I'll have a bite of that pizza. Looks delicious, and I agree, it's all about the crust and the sauce.
Please be careful and return safely to that beautiful fiance. Hugs 🤗 and God's blessings ❤🙏❤️
FYI, your videos are really starting to kick some serious butt. Keep up the great work. 👍
Guess you say that your accommodations would have made for a nice PODcast.
Great tour around NYC with some fascinating historical sites/attractions and pizza.🍕
Cool video Jay, hope you had a great time in NY, meant to wish you congratulations on hitting 100k, you deserve it. I remember when you had less that 2K so I’m very happy for your success, keep up the great work my friend and can’t wait to see all of the upcoming journeys
Thanks Jay for the Interesting info location on the Titanic and the Twain House :) ... The creepy feelings were real
I Loved this video! Thanks for the history lesson. On my honeymoon I wore a heart of the ocean necklace at one of the dinners on our ship. Lol! I found it at a shop in Winter Park and had to do it. It got Alot of laughs.
Haha, aw that's cool! As a young girl when I first saw Titanic, the heart of the ocean was the obsession of my little magpie heart for a while there 😅
Awesome Video of New York City! And yes they have the best Pizza in the world!! Thanks for the amazing tour!!
Loved this video Jay come through NC and stop at the beautiful beaches here and at Myrtle Beach too loved NYC when I had went hope to go again soon.
Never thought about that, where was the Titanic going to dock in NY. Thanks for the fun NY adventure.
Awesome! video as always Jay
😢😢😢😢😢😢
That's cool KAMA "Capsule" hostel, just like in Japan with capsule hotel! Another great NY vid and keep up the good work Jay, much ahead! 😉 Also indeed the "House of Horror" do give off the creepy vibe. While watching your takes on the house, do have the goose bumps happening. Just weird vibes and a sad history behind the building indeed.
Thanks for the tour ! That was so well done and neat!!! Really love New York and its history!!!
Thanks for the awesome information on the Titanic i enjoyed watching
As always, awesome video!! Thanks for the Titanic info, and SO CREEPY that building!! Love your adventures!!
I love Adam the Woo too and I have seen some of your videos with him especially baseball games ❤
Hi Tampa Jay I've got the titanic on dvd and it's a sad film 🎥 when I first watched it it made me cry 😢and that haunted house 🏠 there is no way I would of stayed in it 😮another great video 💙 Tampa Jay 💙 love you too 💙 there's much ahead 💙
Great video Jay!!!
Cool video! The Titanic pier was really interesting to see. I think the survivors stayed at the Jane hotel nearby the pier 54. Man, there are so much layers of history in NYC ❤😅.
Thanks for the video jay 😊
Man! That is a crazy thought!
Butterfly effect
I'm a huge history buff!
Titanic
Elvis
Ghostbusters
I love your channel
Fully recommended and believe me fully subscribed.
Much ahead!
Awesome Jay
Getting bigger 100,000
Whoop whoop 👊 ❤
Those pods...that was almost Korben Dallas size on the ZFX200 that took him to Fhloston Paradise. On the upside, while you weren't hot-bunking, that you know of, you now have an idea of what it's like to sleep on a ship in the Navy.
Great job on this one TJ 😎
Great creepy stuff! I think Johns pizza is the best! We’ll done as always ➡️
I am a TITANTIC lover...wish it didnt happen for all those people but now am so into its history...thanks for bringing this to us
I’m happy you enjoyed this. I made this for people like you!
I use to work in the Google Building at WebMD. Also I love Titanic history!
Great video ! At 7:019 mins when you was watching the trains go by I was getting massive money train nostalgia 😅 looked just like a scene from the film 🤙🏻
That’s a hilarious movie! Thank you for watching
New Yorkers FOLD their pizza slices to eat it!
I’ve folded my nyc pizza before
@@TampaJay That’s the way to eat a large slice, buddy! It looks awkward to hold it flat to eat it!
Hey Tampa Jay, know you more from Adam and your trip to the '64 World's Fair B4 the Tampa/Mets game last year?
You should go down to the Bowling Green at the Battery. That is where the White Star Line Offices were and where they posted the list of survivors/missing seen in pictures.
The Pigeon Forge Titanic Museum is incredible, and I always save my tickets!
Also at the Green is the Customs Building that was used as the Art Museum in Ghost Busters II. Speaking of maritime disasters, look up the General Slocum disaster. Before the Titanic, it was the worst maritime disaster that happened in the East River where 1,000 German Immigrants drowned after the wooden side-wheel caught on fire. Mass grave and memorial in Middle Village Queens, the All-Faiths Cemetery. I gotta come back and watch this again. According to Santa, Ray's is the best pizza. Don't recall which Ray's. Thanks for the great video.
Hey Jay first time here. Excited to see you here in NY. Hopefully you get on to Little Island as well.
Wow! You get everything in this one! History, Ghosts, and Pizza Reviews🍕 Great Job!
I really tried thank you!!
Loved it , the whole entire video was awesome !!!
Thank you for watching! I really appreciate and glad to hear you enjoyed it. It was fun day
Congrats on 100,000 my dude!
I never been to NYC thanks Tampa Jay for sharing. Oh boy ! Like being there. House of horrors. Pizza 🍕 ❤
Thanks for living by vicariously with me
I enjoy the videos you do of history and historical places.
I hope you consider doing more of them!
17:10/ Seeing how you're knowledgeable about both real history and pop culture, thought I'd give you a cool heads-up regarding that old time Pier photo.
You can actually see a piece of that old structure during the opening scenes of TAXI DRIVER, the great 70's film starring Robert DeNiro. It's real cool to see demolished structures captured on film.
You might want to look up the original West Side Highway. It was actually an elevated Highway, similar in design to the High Line just a block east. Crazy history behind it, especially what led to its eventual demolition. You can see an abandoned part of the old Highway in that great 1981 horror flick WOLFEN!❤
Always love your videos this one was very good, I come from NY grew up on Long Island, now I live in your state 😊
This was such an interesting video. I had never really given thought to where Titanic was supposed to dock. Thank you for sharing! ALSO. Pizza place in NYC......when you are back there, try Capizzi. They have a location in Hell's Kitchen and in midtown. The BEST brick oven pizza I have every tasted. Give it a try!
Thanks so much for coming along with me. I have written Capizzi down. That sounds awesome thank you.
Very interesting! 🚢 NYC is so big, and so much to see! 🗽 We were there a week, and still missed a lot considering. We stayed in Queens, and would spend our days in Manhattan and Brooklyn. That is wild!
Been to the top of The Empire State Building 😊
A wonderful video as always. And…..now I want pizza.
Very interesting vlog - thank you! And those pizza slices looked delicious...
Great video Jay....l, too, love the history of the Titanic so this was very interesting. As always your passion shines through. I hope you had a great time in NYC , thanks for taking us along. Keep up the great work! 💞😊
The passengers where they lived at when they boarded the Titanic was interesting. Very few passengers living west of the Mississippi River was on the Titanic. The reason was the US population was much lower so only 2 passengers, one from Denver and another one from Omaha was onboard the Titanic. Most people from the United States going home if they made it lived east of the Mississippi River.
Thanks Jay really enjoyed this video. I want to go there.
Hi Jay,
Although I now live in Jersey, I’m originally from NYC. I watch a number of UA-cam influencers that walk NYC live and some may point out a few points of interest.
However, l learned things I never knew before in this video. I agree the pizza did look delicious 🍕😋
Regarding the House of Horror and the story you told about what happened there in 1987. I remember how it was all over the news back then. It was heartbreaking.
Wow cool! Looks nice
Awesome video!
Thank you
Hey Jay, that was great! So great to see those locations. I've always been fascinated by the Titanic tragedy. The Garden always reminds me Dice. I've always felt drawn to NYC as well. I really must make the pilgrimage one day, Lovin' your vids!
I want to thank you for your vlogs on NYC. I grew up in the city and loved the park and you sparked great memories for me.
Many years ago I retired and moved to Florida , but in my 80s I have come to miss the city. So once again a big thank you. Please keep up the good work!
A suggestion if I may the next time you are in the city go to the Decota , it’s a building with so much history, spooky and otherwise.
I was there the night John Lenon was shot . So sad, you might want to check out Strawberry Fields which is across the street from the Decota.
Next time visit the Intrepid museum you might find it interesting
Wow I’ve read loads of books and watched countless docs on Titanic but never seen the actual Hudson dock and knew that an actual piece of it exists 👀 the small amount of survivors walking through that archway just gave me chills. I’m so glad they have a plaque and info. Also the haunted Mark Twain residence was creepy, what are the odds all that horrendous activity went on in that same property…22 spirits in one spot that’s quite extraordinary! Even you could feel the energy on the outside!
Thank you so much. I've always wanted to see where the Titanic was supposed to land. Such a cool video Tampa Jay. 💜
Thank you glad to hear you enjoyed it
Good video keep it up ❤
I sure hope you're aren't gonna sing My Heart will go on TJ. Lol. That hostle was pretty cool. Thanks for showing us around New York
I swear when you standing there in the house was behind you I swear it sounds like somebody was whistling something right as you was talking about them giving you lots of cold chills
I got spooked cause u got spooked 😂 cool old buildings! Pizza 🍕 yum 👍🦩thank you Great video 🤗
Interesting vlog coming from a local. Next time you try Bleeker Street Pizza 🍕 gotta get the Nona slice that’s what they’re famous for! 👍🏼
Congrats on 100k 🎉
Thank you!
With your reaction there definitely has to be some paranormal energy. The Mark Twain sightings could just be residual activity because he did spend time in the building and it has paranormal energy.
My ghost story would have been that pod!!!! Small spaces SCARY!!!!❤❤. Much love Tampa Jay!!
I am someone who is also fascinated with the Titanic. I have books all over the place on it...we went to the Titanic experience in Pigeon Forge Tennessee last year. Pretty neat.
Have you ever seen " The unsinkable Molly Brown? JAY?
Molly Brown was a well known survivor of the Titanic and actually helped saved others too.
We have also been to the Molly Brown house in Denver Colorado.
She was an amazing woman.
Loved this video so much! Thankyou Jay...
❤❤❤❤
It’s so weird to consider what was supposed to be the ship’s destination. Eerie.
Yes very Eerie my friend. If it had not sank I really think the world would have been a lot different, some how, some way! Thanks for watching
started watching you on the DailyWoo have been enjoying your last blobs as am unable to travel
Thank you appreciate you!
Do who started doing vlogs first ? You or Adam ?
17:57, it says Cunard Line. The Cunard Line was another ocean line that did trans Atlantic voyages. They are still around today. Also, there is Joe's pizza just on the other end of Bleeker Street by 6th Ave. Probably my favorite slice in Manhattan.
They also brought out White line.
Afternoon Jay!!
Wow thanks Tampa jay I didn't know about the titanic
I was born in Elizabeth, NJ, raised in Central Jersey. My husband worked at the NJ Transit site in Kearney, NJ, the MMC; commuter trains into NYC. Never heard of that house as the house of death; I do remember the murder of that little girl Lisa Steinberg. My Aunt and Uncle lived right across the Hudson River from pier 59 in Jersey City.
Tampa Jay the Gothic building you were looking at was home to John Lennon and his wife Yoko. They used to cross into the park there too. I think Adam did a video on it.
The Titanic movie is some happy moments and tragic moments 😢.
Very cool J! I’ve always wanted to stay in a pod and hostels are a good inexpensive way to stay places. So is that hostel for men only or open to both? Ok- this is a full watch, already a full thumbs up video .
Thumbs up 👍
That is a cool hostel you stayed at. It's been 35 years since I stayed at a hostel in Key West. Yours looked very clean
That was just a little anxiety.
101k Tampa Jay woo hoo your crushing it 🎉
Thank you for saying for today's creature feature it put a smile on my face I needed it and thank you for doing historical video I love history brother I appreciate you 🧡🎃🧡🦩👍🏻
I have never been to New York, a lot of my favourite movies were filmed there. One movie that was filmed there before your time was a 1980 movie with John Ritter called Hero at large, it was filmed on bleaker street. I believe the pizza place played a corner grocery store for the robbery scene, it looks like it anyway. Bleeker street was mentioned in the movie.
Thanks Jay. I am very fascinated with the Titanic as well and never knew this is where it was due to land so thank you. Who knows what cruise travel would be like now had it not sunk
Glad to hear Zoe! Thank you
Got curios on the history of the jefferson market library. It was a courthouse originally. Very cool. Pictures online of the clock tower inside. Would love to tour it.
Very interesting……..never knew there was anything like pods in hotels to sleep in,,,,,,,,,,You learn something every day…….And I live in NEW YORK…..When you know you know, when you don’t you’re living in the past! 😎😂
Ghostbusters II vibes! "Better late then never!"
Exactly lol forgot to mention I had been here before. I actually put this in my Ghostbusters two filming locations and reference that scene.
An interesting fact about Bleecker Street Pizza is on their celebrity wall of fame, they have a photo with UA-cam content creator Here Be Barr on the wall. He's great if you want to find out interesting food spots off the beaten path from the usual tourist spots.
It’s amazing how many UA-camrs there are that I’ve never heard of! That’s what I consider an awesome fun fact I will check that out. Thank you so much for watching.
20:45 to make it even creepier for you. The same port that Titanic last departed from was the the same port Lusitania Victims where brought to shore. Cobh(then Queenstown) in Ireland
I wish they had not tore down those ports. Those where beautiful buildings it looks.
Yo, Tampa Jay, in these pod types of accommodations, are you provided with a space besides your pod, to put some of your other extra stuff, like towels, shoes, clothes, etc.? thanks.
Yes, good question. There is locker space right across from the pods. You have to bring your own lock tho !
Hello Tampa Jay, are these type of pod accommodations sound proof? so that you need not to worry about disturbing others if ever you watch something in your space and vice versa. Thank you.
Would love to see you do a filming locations of the movie called The Park is Mine.
Did you check out the Jane Street Hotel? It’s by the Hudson, close to the pier, that’s where the survivors for the Titanic were housed when they were arrived. It’s not a boutique hotel, cool bar
That piece of pier 54 says”Cunard & White Star” Cunard was the company that owned the Carpathia. Also GO PHILLIES!!!
I never saw were the titanic would have docked and I never thought I would have ever seen or even think of seeing it
Hello tampa Jay, i from Brazil. I Love yours vídeos thanks 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
Thank you, my friend. I wish to visit Brazil someday
Ghostbusters II, .....huh,..better late then never!
I am obsessed with learning about the Titanic in 5th grade I sang a song about the Titanic I read the 1985 artical in Nat Geo I even had books about the ship yes they it is sad that over 1500 died all because the lifeboats weren't full also there was enough for all the passengers they even had the door or gate to the 3rd passenger area locked etc
0:35 is that a filing location for the 2016 ghostbusters movie starring Melissa McCarthy? That look exactly like the building from the opening scene
