I have a question that relates to this. On my 2020 CR-V EX I was able to enable the walkaway auto lock, and the beep signal when using the remote to lock / unlock the doors; but it also allowed me to turn OFF the beep when I shut the doors. I don't mind the beep when remotely locking and unlocking doors, but it is extremely annoying for me to have the beeps every time I close doors. On the 2024 CR-V EX, can I turn off the door shut beeps but leave the others on like on my 2020? Thanks
is there some kind of Dealer/Factory mode when first received for auto locking? When I first got my 2024 CRV EX-L when I closed the drivers door I could hear the door lock along with a click from gas filler door and rear hatch. Leaving the key fob in the house I can't open the door, with the key fob in my pocket the door would open. It was that way for 2 weeks, then I read online that the auto-lock feature is turned off by default, so I went into the settings and sure enough it's turned off. So I decided to turn it on to see what the the difference was. Now when I get out and close the door, it doesn't immediately lock the door, but when I get a few feet away it beeps, locks the door, and the tail light flashes. I thought naaa let's put it back the way it was. I turned the feature back off and now the door no longer locks at all like it did before, the only way to auto lock now is to turn the walk away feature back on; I would love to get it to work they way it did when I first got the car with 1 mile on it.
I have a new 2024 Honda CRV EX-L; following your directions, the "Settings" is not found under the Home + gauge location you described. I had to use the dashboard's center screen with the icon for "Vehicle Settings". I scrolled until I found the "Walk Away Door Setting" in order to turn OFF the feature for my car. Please verify this for your instructions. Even if this is correct, your instructions lead me to search for vehicle settings on the large center screen, so you were helpful in the end; thank you.
Thanks!! I am going to upload a separate video for the EX-L, Sport-L Hyrbid and Sport Touring Hybrid. Those trim levels have a different setting route just like yours. Thanks for the feedback. Hope you are loving the car.
Yes; the car is so different from my former 4 dr sedan (and w/new features), so I am enjoying the height of the cabin from ground and other new features; thanks for the reply.
I'd never even heard of walk-away door locks, and for about 3 years, my 2015 CRv didn't actuate. But one day, they began actuating about the same time my battery kept going dead. Replaced the AAA battery, same result. Now have a new one again and will wait and see. But It DOES have walk away. #;o) @@walkaroundnariman
Plus the Lx doesn't give you the opportunity to just set the lock/ unlock the doors to just the driver door. Therefore ALL doors open. Nit very safe for a single person wanting to get in or out of the car without someone else being able to get in with you to steal your car !! Very unsafe. Again, Honda should have included that as a safety feature for single people. NOT cool !!
@NarimSan no, it unlocks all the doors. The other models all have that feature in the settings. But not the lx. I don't know why honda didn't include that in the LX. Oh well, I just have to be more vigilant when I'm out & about. Not a good feeling. My civic & accord had the feature & the EX & up on the crv has it. Bummer
Thanks! I couldn’t find that setting in my new hybrid!
Glad it helped.
Please, is there a setting to notify you when you left your keys in the car? I have a 2024 CRV EXL. No setting option on my steering wheel screen
No setting unfortunately

I totally understand. I think that beep is there to let you know the walkaway auto lock is activated.
Thank you SO much, that was so easy with your help ❤
Of course glad it was good help
Mine doesn’t have the walk away out lock setting 💔 is there any other way to do it? I have the crv ‘24 lx in urban grey
Unfortunately, they do not have it on the LX. EX and above.
Yeah, honda didn't offer that on the Lx. A shame, it would not have cost them anything to do that.
Thanks, took my 24 hr-v to the dealership, for some reason, they reset my settings. Had to go back here to setup the walkaway autolock again 😅
Glad it worked out

You can definitely do a factory reset! Let me know if you need help
@@walkaroundnariman Yes I would like to know how to do that, Thanks
I have a 2024 Honda CRV hybrid sport and I do not have the system function on the home button on the steering wheel
Is it a Sport or a Sport-L?
Hi Nariman my autlock feature was working but all of a sudden it stopped working. This is without me turning the feature off. Any advice?
Is it an EX-L? Are you using the same key? No other key left in the car?
@walkaroundnariman Hi thanks for the advice! I didn't realise there was another key inside my logbook ! Makes sense. It works now. Thank you so much
@ sweet

This feature is NOT available for the LX model, unfortunately
True, not standard on the LX.
Thank you for the help!
Of course
Is there a way to turn off walk away lock on a 2015 Honda CR V? I believe that is what is draining my battery over night
The 2015 CRV doesn’t have that feature. Have your battery checked. There could be other reasons

This is Excellent but what I should do if I have a car 2011 Honda CRV
Trade it in
Welp mine unlocks when I am close to it after locking it….
Are you touching the door handle?
👍
Yes!

Janet, when you press unlock one time on your key fob, doesn't it only unlock the driver side door?
